In 1975 he released a brilliant album entitled "Will O' The Wisp." It included his biggest hit ever, "Lady Blue", and my favorite Leon song, "Back to the Island." Here they are:

I saw Leon Russell in concert at least twice. One time was in Asbury Park around 1971, and the second was I don't remember where.

Oh no man... dang... I hadn't heard about Leon... wow... now that makes me sad... and introspective.

You're right about Will O' The Wisp though, still have that album. I'll have to dig it out and fire up the old turntable - just knew re-furbing the Marantz a while back was a good idea. Now I can listen to "Back to the Island" the same way as 'the good old days'... crackles, pops, and all.

I've been watching a show that's only going to run for about 12 or so episodes, starring Billy Bob Thornton, it's called Goliath....it's very good. It's on FX on tv and Amazon prime.
