I love that name for a moving company... never heard it before... removalist... huh, pretty good!

Everybody beat me to the extra remote idea. I have one at my computer desk, one on the arm of the couch in the living room, and one in the bedroom, where I have a second TV.

Yay!

I don't whether the Lenovo has changed price, but it's $40 cheaper than the HP now.

I absolutely despise the touch pads on laptop computers but I've learned to deal with them... sort of.
I just use a mouse. That works better for me than my thumb on a touchpad. I use my thumb on my tablet, & the stylus on my Note 8.

Apple has a useful setting: You can have both the mouse and pad active or change the setting and If a mouse is detected the pad is disabled.
My Acer does that. I can also remove the touch pad completely. It has a button on to work the like a remote control on dvd's, video's & music.

You said you live in Oklahoma? We got lotsa little rain here in the Midwest rain forest.
Yes, I am right in the center of the state in Oklahoma City. My neighbor said since Friday his rain gauge shows we have had 4 inches of rain. I don't worry about the rain, I'm more concerned about the high winds and lightning.

I am spoiled with my wireless mouse. Just have to make sure the battery is fresh. Since it is an optical mouse, I don't have to clean the, oops! Don't want to offend the moderators with that.
WOW! There is a severe thunderstorm moving through the area. Gods tater wagon is really spilling the taters. I am getting signal loss so have the antenna set up on the big tv. High wind loads of rain and power outages in the area. Now they are also saying flooding is possible.
Me too wireless keyboard and trackball.

Well a small update.Ginny has been going thru the roller coaster feel good feel bad. It is weird. It's also weird to go from the person depending on her to being the person who is depended upon. I don't mind it but it gets a little hectic. She has been having these bouts of what they call Chemo Brain and her internal clock is all messed up. Yesterday she went upstairs at 0630 and laid down cause she wasn't feeling good and got up in a tizzy at 0730 and thought she slept till 1930. Today she is forgetting all kinds of things. I hate this disease..And it's only just starting. I have to leave her alone today cause I have to go and get my legs fixed pu an Rx on the other end of town. Going to Costco to pu 1 item because some of the things we want go on sale in 3 more days. Sheesh they are moving our Costco to a big new store real soon further away. Maybe they will have more crip parking I hope. Seems like half the people in town have crip permissions.

Movie reviews:

Stargate: Kurt Russell, James Spader, 1994. Not very good; did not hold my interest. Whatever causes it to be well-rated by most reviewers was lost on me.

Transformers, The Last Knight: Mark Wahlberg, 2017. Entertaining from start to finish, well worth watching. Many reviewers find it far less entertaining than I did.

Never Go Back: Tom Cruise, 2016. Again I rate this higher than most reviewers did. It held my interest and provided entertainment; that's all I can ask for. I did read the book, about a year ago, but the discrepancies between the book and the movie just didn't bother me at all... I enjoyed both.

We Reacher fans don't necessarily agree. Have you read the books? Not to argue, just disagree. Cruise is NOT Jack Reacher....

Going to hide now.. :ohmy::confused::D
I've read ALL the Reacher books. I reread the entire series every time a new one comes out (just to get me in the mood), so I've read some of the early ones ten times or more. Certainly Cruise is nothing like the description of Jack Reacher in the books. Nonetheless, Cruise plays the character well enough to suit me. I hope he makes more.

And he is paying up front for getting these films made (producing), so I'm willing to concede him a few inches. Much like I'm happy to see Tom Selleck producing the Jesse Stone series. If they make some money for the folks who put up the production cash, more power to them.

Can't disagree with that. I know Cruise bought the franchise from Lee Child, so be it. But in my mind, Cruise ain't the Jack Reacher I picture in my mind. Oh well.

Now Harry Bosch? Amazon Prime has a show Bosch, based on Michael Connelly's Heronimous Bosch books. Connelly is one of the producers. Great casting! Titus Wethersomething is what I picture Bosh being. We have been binging the series..

Love Michael Connely's Bosch… read all his books. Titus Welliver is very much as I would picture Bosch.

On the other hand I can't stand Tom Cruise…I think he's a bad actor so I won't watch any of his movies. Ducking…please don't hit me……

We watched a good movie last night on one of the Roku channels…The Red Violin.

Cruise certainly isn't what I picture when reading the books; he just seems (to me) to portray somebody who "works" like Jack Reacher quite well.

I really dislike streaming video, and I absolutely need subtitles (I'm fairly deaf) so while I have Amazon Prime (for the shipping) I don't have much use for the "free" Amazon videos. Too bad, I'm a fan of the Harry Bosch book series. (Hmmm, time to reread that series as well.) The "spin-off" Lincoln Lawyer (Bosch's half-brother) made a pretty good film as well.

If you contact Amazon Prime Videos, they will turn on the CC for you.

I am getting frustrated with it, though, because the lettering is so small, as is my TV. Difficult to read. In the summertime with fans going and no equipment for streaming monitor/tv audio directly into my HA's, the audio is frustrating.

I thought I would put in a review of my own for you cable cutters. I think I already mentioned we were going to give HULU a good work out by getting it for one month. We did we got the Hulu with live tv. For $40 a month It is a great service. So many good channels, the cons are trying to deal with their format for finding shows, really the only one and it is a matter of learning to find your way around. Picture quality is excellent, we get 2 local channels ABC, CBS, we added HBO which is $15 but enjoy a lot of their programming also. Way more to offer then any Cable or Satellite svc. May add the DVR upgrade which allows you 200 hours of recording for $15 more. Stock you get 50. It has a feature that allows you to pause rewind or ff live programming. PS Vue hands down has the best programming guide but hulu has more good channels and is $15 less with all the channels PS Vue to get most of the channels available on Hulu is more like $70. Their library of On Demand programming is really extensive but comes with limited commercials on some but they are really limited commercials and also tell you how long the commercials last so if you have anything to do quickly you know how long you got. Another downside no internet as in down no tv. I don't think cable or satelite holds a candle to this service for lots less money.
