{{{{Kenna}}}} right back at'cha m'lady! I hope everyone has been well... gonna try to check in more often.

Meanwhile, I have a question for our many 'animal people' here...

My daughter wants a dog (and actually, I'm 'bout ready for one too). Our last Heinz 57 either ran off, or got swiped - which is my guess, he was a handsome lil' doggie. Oh well, ce la vie... he showed up here, stayed around a year or so, disappeared. But... we had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun....

We have a shelter near here, so I suggested we go look... but No, she wants a German Shepard... a registered German Shepard at that... so now we're talkin' 8-1500 right? She's dead-set on it, and said she's gonna start saving up.

Most all the dogs I've had the pleasure of living with have been 'sooners', never paid a penny for a dog except for 'general maintenance' - shots, worm meds, and vet. bills when necessary... I've never seriously thought about paying hundreds for a dog! Don't even know where to start...
What everyone already said about reputable breeders, but also check into German Shepherd rescue groups. They sometimes have a lot of info about the dogs they're placing, including ancestry and all.

But meanwhile I'm really happy with my 1/2 RottweilerX1/2 unknown, but pretty obviously Shepherd
I know this isn't vape related, and I promise to stop after this, but my heart is so full of memories right now, that I hope you all will indulge this one last post on the great Leon Russell. In 1975 he released a brilliant album entitled "Will O' The Wisp." It included his biggest hit ever, "Lady Blue", and my favorite Leon song, "Back to the Island." Here they are:

No more, I promise.

As everyone else said, this is the Back Porch where pretty much any topic (other than politics) is allowed.. It's only on the Front Porch that you have to stick to vaping.

Yeah I've got my groups there too. Heart Surgery, Osteoporosis, Hep C and a couple others no rants there but friends with a lot of ex railroaders and people from my past in the 70's so if I go to Home get a lot of opinions.

I hang around there some, but I haven't a lot of Facebook friends, and most of the ones I do have are amazingly polite. Most of my problems are in my Transverse Myelitis group where I have to just ignore some of the political sniping (including someone telling a British member of the group that she must be lying about how well she has been treated using just the public health system) and some of the "X diet or X vitamins will cure you" group, or a lot of the pushy prayer folks. I think that the worst is that some of the religious group spend a lot of time on the "God did this as part of His plan for you" theme, and then go back to saying "If you just pray enough you'll be healed." Now I'm not going to open up a religious discussion here, but if nothing else those two positions seem to contradict each other.

LOL...I promise too!But his demise got me to reminiscing a lot...oh the good almost innocent times:D

I'm late on how much Leonard Cohen's music meant to me over the years. But here's an amazing cover of his Hallelujah by Pentatonix. I now have the rest of their holiday album on my play list at Amazon, but I refuse to get very far into anything related to Christmas until at least after Thanksgiving.
