Is the NCC a reference to your sport of choice?
Naw.
When I was younger, I liked to run, and bicycled a lot. I was pretty good with the Frisbee too. Do those count?
Nowadays I still enjoy walking and nature trails. I've climbed a few small mountains, and one big, upside down mountain (the Grand Canyon). Spent three days hiking the Appalachian Trail. :)

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot ... I like attending gatherings/rallies with my smart fortwo, and just taking road trips with no destination in mind. Been to events from Denver to Orlando and North Carolina/Tennessee (Tail of the Dragon).

I don't guess any of these count as sports though. Oh well, they're as close as I come.

well.......I meant watchin instead of playin, like bein a Bball fan instead of feetsball. I think it's basketball that has NCC. I dunno, can't watch that cuz of the squeaky shoes.....drives me bonkers. But my son is a huge spurs fan. I love that team and Coach Papa, but just can't watch it. But Frisbee absolutely counts!! :p

I read a book about walking the Appalachian Trail........which I believe was actually written by a distant relative of my ex's

And yes I'm still butthurt over getting my enjoyment shut down when trump won, but I guess I just wasn't on the side that was acceptable.

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
I enjoyed it via Twitter. Very entertaining.

Yah, I actually gathered you were talking about team sports. Sorry, I'm one of those odd critters who has a total lack of interest in that department.

To answer your question, in a nutshell, the NCC is a Star Trek reference. Those three characters, usually followed by something else, have followed me all over the interwebs for more than 20 years, beginning with AOL.

I have withdrawal symptoms when I go too long without road trippin'. Starting to feel a need now, might have to get a fix before Summer sets in.

Latest change of mind about homemade automatic dishwasher detergent: yes, it works very well. I know I blasted it recently as being a poor substitute for Cascade pods, but maybe I just did a poor job of loading the dishwasher that time. Unwilling to let something go to waste unless it's plain pitiful, I've used it for the last 3 loads of dishes and it's been working great.

Recipe: 2 parts washing soda, 2 parts Borax, 1 part powdered citric acid, 1 part coarse kosher salt. Shake together, use one level tablespoon per load.

Hey Deb, North Carolina Central University is NCC. There may be others, but that's one.

Really .. ?? It's worked for me a couple of three times .. ;) .. er, sorry, I thought you said eyes .. ;) .. gotta start laying off the Jack after 10 PM .. o_O
Me too actually but, that was a number or years ago. However, before I pretty much quit drinking, if I'm not mistaken and my memory is correct, I did ask a young lady that worked at our local Ace if she wanted a sugar daddy.;):lol:

Er...um...was it her eyes you were looking at when you stumbled awhile back? ...
I figure if they didn't want me looking at their butts, they wouldn't wear yoga pants or short shorts with writing on em right across their hineys. :w00t::lol:

Thanks for the recipe. I need to see if the kids would go for this. Silly to pay what they do for cascade pods when I'm doin the dishes. When I do em, they're clean before they go in. Might be a lil grease on em since I know the pods and their dw will clean that off. In the crappy dw I had in my apt I would even make sure all the grease was off. Between me puttin em in clean, and the sani wash feature on their dw, any kind of detergent is probably a waste anyhow.

JUP!

Ah ha!!! My Avatar is Sky Acres USS Stargazer (NCC-2893, but that would make a weird name for a dog!), aka Tasha. I also have Geordi, Bijou Luisant Kontinuing Mission. Past dogs were Deana Troi aka Troi,, Commander Riker, aka Riker, and Maplerun's Trouble With Tribbles, aka Spock (all names minus titles), so I get the Star Trek reference! Welcome to the Porches!!

I really can't work up any enthusiasm for either side of the argument but, I do believe it's going to be an interesting and fairly entertaining 4 years. Who wants to place odds on impeachment before 4 years are up.:lol::)
