Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

It's here! Signed for it at 11:28, been trying to go slow and be patient ever since... at least I did resist the urge to tear the box open!

Got the quad on the kitchen island bar by now, both batteries (quad and controller) charging, and just put the props on. She's a beaut!

I had already DL'd the DJI Go app to my tablet and both phones, created an acct. w/ DJI, and watched many vids and tutorials. The quad battery was at 75% but before I took it out to charge, I 'paired it' with my phone and registered the quad. After the batts get charged, I'll check for firmware updates via Go app, run a pre-flight checklist, and consider it ready to fly.

It's ferly breezy out right now, so don't know if I'll get 'er in the air today, but... y'all... I'm havin' a blast right now!

While it's charging I'll be washing off an old rubber floor mat to use as a landing pad, working on a list of 'flight rules' for myself, a pre-flight checklist, a site-safety checklist for when I take it elsewhere, and an in-flight photo/vid checklist.... whew!

Am I having fun yet?

I make a pot, turn it off as soon as it is done. I nuke each cup individually (except for the first, of course).

... is it too acidic? I guess my aging gastrointestinal system is getting more sensitive?... I think need a smoother, budget-priced coffee, with emphasis on the 'budget'... any off-the-shelf suggestions?

Not a coffee gourmet, so Maxwell House Lite (half da caffeine) does well fer us. I've also have become addicted to French Vanilla creamer

For decades, used to have a mug within reach most times. Now, just two cups a day, at most.

Woo-hoo! Carolina Tarheels, national champions!

Yep that's a bummer. I kinda felt like the refs were a little harder on the Zags. Our best player got fouled out which really made a big diff in the way the team played. But hey they only lost 2 games all season. Would have been nice since Carolina has been there a lot. I really felt bad for them especially the seniors. I did feel like the refs were a lot harder on us then the Tarheels but any Zag fan would say that.

After playing with the Go app while everything finished charging, all checked out - so I put it on the pad in an open spot in the backyard and hit 'auto-takeoff' - and it did! Flew it left and right, back and forth a few minutes, and did a manual landing... right on the pad!

Wow...

I was on Famotodine and it wasn't really working anymore and she put me on 40mg Omeprazol they really do the trick.

After playing with the Go app while everything finished charging, all checked out - so I put it on the pad in an open spot in the backyard and hit 'auto-takeoff' - and it did! Flew it left and right, back and forth a few minutes, and did a manual landing... right on the pad!

hehehe that's great! Glad we got our call in earlier! I'm still waiting on my UPS delivery. An air mattress to put on top of my mattress that pokes me in all my hurty parts, and a couple other things. I can just picture you like a kid in a candy store!!

that's what I'm on. It does a decent job most of the time, but have had quite a few issues with heartburn, especially lately.

I don't reheat coffee, and my Behmor Brazen coffee maker doesn't have a warming plate. The funny thing is that back in the early 1980's, I'd walk in the middle of the night to a 24-hour 7-11 that was only a city block away from my apartment, and I'd pour myself a giant cup of mud that was evaporated down from sitting on the warming plate for hours and hours. Potent stuff it was, and with enough milk and sugar, drinkable.

Done that myself in the past... Now almost all places keep at least one pot fairly fresh... Two hours or less...

Yes, that is the cold brew thingie I have. I use it sometimes, but it uses more coffee.

Yea, I can remember when I would have a cup of coffee before I went to bed - wake me up just enough so I could sleep - otherwise I would toss and turn all night. Now - two cups in the morning and one in the afternoon and sometimes an extra one around 6pm if I am planning on working on my computer for a while...

omgggg can't remember who posted it, but I am finally getting to watch the vid I've had pulled up forever of the Central Oregon Coast. I'm only about 10 minutes in, but I have literally been squealing with delight. I know that water at Devil's Churn would beat me to death if the hypothermia didn't get me first. But I have an almost insatiable insane desire to be right in the middle of that water with the waves washin over me. I don't believe in reincarnation, but if I did, I'd wanna come back as a great big rock, right in the middle of that!!!

So true! It can cause problems with your esophagus. Like eat it from the bottom up. It could be a hernia causing it, or other gi issues. Go to the Dr!

Yeah with the Barretts I'm supposed to avoid anything that gives me indigestion so I have changed my diet. I hate it, can't eat Sriacha, raw onions I love both of those a lot.

I'll have to check to see if I can take that with the omeprazole. I think there are certain types of antacid things that I can't take with it

That stinks. There are some things I really have to watch. Tomato sauces and OJ especially. Other things I should watch more but I don't. lol I had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy scheduled at the same time last month. I had to cancel because I started throwing up the colonoscopy prep. I need to reschedule both, but really need to reschedule the endoscopy.

Yeah me too. I tried eating a Manwich and I thought I was gonna die but it did the same to Ginny. I really haven't tried Spaghetti yet but I think that might be ok. Cooked onions don't seem to bother me but give me banned from the bedroom gas. Hey I found a calculator for your BMI for amputees. Mine comes out at 19.5 so I am on the low scale of normal but still in the normal range.
