I had to look it up to make sure... not only do I forget stuff, but things change. It's a combination International and Bulk Mail center. The USPS got tired of some countries charging too little for first class mail, which made the amount they turned over to the USPS too small, so the USPS started treating some incoming International Mail as parcel post. Or, I should say that's what was going on when I retired 6 years ago.

Warning: vape-related from this point onward! I got a Yihi SX Mini Q Class and I totally love it. Extremely comfortable to me; battery life is fantastic; so far I've only used it in power mode and it delivers power SO smoothly, as good or better than a Provari. I prefer it without using the silicone sleeve. The newest SX Mini, the G Class, is the one that has the power button on the broad side, which I don't like... otherwise, I might have gotten one of the G Class instead.
Well welcome to the YiHi club. One thing you can say about the YiHi boards are they are extremely accurate and work very well. I'm glad you like it. Which color did you get. Do they actually have a silicone sleeve for the Q? They didn't when I had mine because of the need to remove it to change batteries.

That's what could've happened then it is going Parcel Post even tho it shows International Priority Mail. If it was going priority it would've been here. Probly on a train in some yard getting switched out, hopefully.
That's the way I used to get my cigarettes from Kentucky. At that time I still had access to all kinds of stuff on the railroad network and could figure out what train it was on and where it was, when it got to Spokane and could figure the delivery from that. I had high access to railroad stuff since the job I was working after amputation required Yardmaster clearance which gave me access to personal records and lot of little tidbits. People would call me up and ask all kinds of questions that they didn't have access to. From Jersey it has to go through 2 or 3 other railroads to get to BNSF at Chicago to head out here. Once it gets on BNSF it takes about 3 days to here.

Hey Jerry did you order some wire from Temco. I am going to today. I can make it 3 months I think and since the price is only $2 diff between 100' and 250' going for the 250 figure it will outlive me. I don't see me changing to any other wire. I like it too well and also the Temco brand. I wonder what the deal is, I have never had to wait for wire from them before.

It's gun-metal gray, or carbon... not quite black. (I don't know color names beyond Roy G B. The I and V I don't know, lol). I bought the mod used, and a silicone sleeve was included, so the sleeve may have been an after-market item.

When I got my SS from Temco I got 2 250' spools. Aleady had 1000' of Kanthal from Lightening.

I took care of my mother when she had Alzheimer's and it was unnerving when she would remember something I'd forgotten. The brain is an awesome thing, especially the memory part.

For sure. I was at my sister's facility on Memorial Day. They had a musician with a selection of very old, slow songs and about a third of the residents were quietly singing along. Many of them didn't know their own names, but they remembered the old songs.

They did "Music Therapy" at the nursing home my MIL was at. It was cool to see their faces light up when something they knew was played and these where people completely oblivious to the world around them. Or so it seemed.

I'll bet this was one of the songs. My dad used to sing this one; mom knew the words and the meter so she enjoyed trying to sing it too.

Speaking of out-of-tune singing, I watched the Cubs yesterday or Friday, and the game had one of those comically poor (but spirited!) renditions of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" that only the Cubs can pull off.

Man these crazy starlings all have babies now and you ought to see 3 families about 12 birds try and get in the bird baath at the same time. They are in there more then any of the other birds. 3 or 4 times a day Ginny has to go out and fill it. It looks like a sprinkler.

No, I haven't made my order, yet. I had a couple other priorities crop up.

TBH, my sympathy/empathy is mostly aimed to those that are 'challenged' while being on their own!!! Bless each and every one of you/them...
Jup! I am so grateful that I have my son and dil. I am much better off than many, and mostly could make it on my own, but there are a few things that would make it very difficult/scary.

I have used metal frames for so long it is going to take me a while to get used to the new glasses, they have a plastic/rubber type of frame. My daughter really likes how they look.
a few Rx's ago I got some purple titanium frames at walmart for 100.00 best glasses investment ever! they are so light, but have held up great many years. Still just like new. I just keep having new lenses put in them.

Janet and I spent the day at the Reading WWII Airshow today. We try to attend each year. This year we spent the majority of our time 'listening' and not wondering around the war birds on display, or the re-enactors encampments or even watching the air show itself. These men and women from the 'greatest generation ain't going to be around in the coming years but the airplanes and re-enactors will. So, just thought I'd share their pictures and mini bios.

And most impressive was when the Star Spangled Banner was sung at the start of the air show itself. The entire airport went silent and 1000's of people where ever they were stood looked toward the main flag pole and either saluted or covered their hearts. Every thing stopped and went so silent you could literally hear a pin drop around you.
WOW! Such amazing stories about absolutely incredible men! Breaks my heart that we are losing this generation and there are so few like them anymore. But so heartwarming to hear that everyone there had such respect for the National Anthem. So many don't even know to face the direction of the flag, much less have that much respect for it.

Thank you for your kind words, you all really know how to uplift others here on the porches.
Julie's short term memory loss seems about the same. At times it can be really bad, she sometimes forgets the first half of a sentence before I can complete the sentence. At other times you would never know she had any issues at all. Thing is I never know which Julie I'm talking to until I get some response from her. Her cognisance can change minute by minute on really bad days.
At least with the Zoloft I get less arguments from her that I said something I didn't say and she is doing much better with unnecessarily stressing over the inconsequential.
Glad the Zoloft is helping. It's a little scary that I can relate to both of those scenarios. I forget many things that actually do happen or are said, but seem to "remember" so clearly things that never happened or are said. Also the part about sometimes being just fine! Makes it hard for docs to understand what you are saying when you tell them you forget so much or get very confused when you seem fine that day you are there.

love it!

Didn't they used to call those BCGs?
and they still do, but these days they are brown. But Diver's look much better than BCGs do

Then, there was the condition where you accidentally stretch the tape, but not enough to break it. The song would slow down in that spot, and you learned to like it that way.:thumb:
Jup! Dunno bout the learning to like it that way though :D

@garyoa1 Where you be. I hope just taking a break bud.
Search reveals he posted Thursday. Not too long, but he's usually on each day so hope he's ok.

Just west of Oklahoma City is Fort Reno. At Halloween, they have folks that will stand next to the graves of soldiers in period uniforms. They will tell the history of the soldier and story of their death.
Wow, that's so neat!

That is so cool to watch the babies come out to play in the water. There are several Cardinals here. They have a pool, & a birdbath, plus it's been pouring rain for several days now. It's been fun to watch the birds & squirrels at the birdbath & feeders. Even with all the rain, they go for the birdbath!
