The following quadcopter video is brought to you by Repel, a no-Deet insect repellent that is rated very highly by CR, and that I got yesterday from Amazon. It seems to work really well, and I don't need to worry that I'm using a dangerous chemical on me.

Well they decided to get the esophogram done before I go just in case. This is such a fast moving cancer and if it is not, there is a treatment for the Barretts that will stop the progression. So I will know if we need to cut the trip short.

Got the motorhome in the shop and pretty much came out like I figured, $400 for all the service they did and $800 to fix the AC. Needs a new fan clutch, air valve and a couple of other parts $200 for parts and the rest is labor and they have access to the parts. There work is guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Will be nice to have the engine air working right and not have to run the generator all the way.

I reduced the number of cable channels recently because there was a rate hike. My recent chiropractic treatments were only minimally covered with my insurance, so I need to find more room in my budget by cutting cable tv entirely, and going to internet. Ironically, the cable company supplies my cable tv, telephone, internet. Could one of you guys initiate a conversation with me on making the switch? Cheaply.

In other news, I am going to get scheduled for more MRI studies, to explore the possibility that my lumbar neurological problems are associated with my hearing loss. If it is, it is not meniere's, and a CI will probably not work.

That would be a very interesting association. I have the same symptoms as you just not nearly as severe.

re: anyone caught up in the FuBucket issue and can't download their albums. Here's my story and my solution.

Background (from last Friday):

Well I was annoyed, yet again, with FuBucket as the removed their link to contact customer support. (Least I couldnot find it). I had a prior contact email so I just emailed with this addy: "support @ photo bucket.com".

I emailed 'it' asking if they disabled album downloads because for the past 2 days I have not been able to do a download.

Much to my surprise, 3 hrs later I had this response. Maybe there's hope for my downloads. There's nothing important 'up there'. It's just a matter of principle now.

Hello there!

We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you. This is a known issue affecting several users and our engineering team is troubleshooting the problem. We will get this resolved as soon as we can!

In the meantime, you can still download your images with the following steps

  • Step 1. Login to your Photobucket Account

  • Step 2. Navigate to your library page

  • Step 3. View a photo and click the download button

  • Step 4. The picture will be saved to your computer
Thank you for your patience and again, we are terribly sorry for this inconvenience!

Today's Solution:

Well it's been 6 days and the FuBucket engineers haven't fixed the download album issue and it's not just several users, it's a ton of users. But, for $2 i found a way to do it. I loaded Chrome to my Macbook, then added this add-on for $2. It adds it's own download button to your FuBucket pages. I successfully download all 3700+ pics's from my 28 albums. Worked liked a charm. The largest album had 883 pic's and it went pretty quick.

Sounds like a good idea to me. At least you'd know and can get them working on the problem sooner.

Ever thought of renting a motorhome? I have no idea what they cost to rent, but I saw a LOT of them when I was in Montana. You wouldn't have to worry about all the fixing and insurance etc.

Not sure exactly what you're asking. Since you have cable/phone/internet bundled call your cable company and ask how much you'd save by cancelling the cable. If you do cancel the internet you might also cancel your land line too. Did you want to know what to use instead of the cable?

Have you tried calling your provider about the increase? I did that last spring when I saw an increase on my bill. Explained that I live on a small fixed income, don't even watch a good deal of what I was being charged for...in short, I played the poor old lady card to the hilt and got a $43 a month decrease...;)

I have to make a similar call every 6 mths or so with mine - they continually try to jack it up by about 50%. The bad part is my friend on the other side of town has more in his package with them and he is paying 25% less than me. It is unfair the way they play it, but a phone call will always get you a reduction of some level or another...

I would save a mint. I called about the rate hike, and wanted to cancel the cable TV and keep internet and phone, and that would be very reasonable. They talked me into a reduced cable TV package for the same price as I was paying for all three. Then I had the medical bill, and am considering keeping the internet and phone, and using the internet for TV. What people were talking about several months ago in "kicking cable to the curb." But what would be the best way to go for internet TV? It appears that I can get local TV on internet, but what else?

I wouldn't drop landline, because I have only Obamaphone for cellphone, and that is not much better than texting and 911 for me, because of my hearing loss. And I need internet for my writing project.

Movie review: "Loving", 2016, historical drama about Richard and Mildred Loving, whose bi-racial marriage in 1950s Virginia changed the US Constitution. Absolutely amazing. I have no idea how historically accurate it is, but it is a VERY well done movie with AWESOME acting.

ETA! Sutures taken out this morning and although still in some pain, it's nothing I can't handle without a lil help ;).....pin will be taken out in 2 weeks, I think that's what they said.
yay! Glad it's going well, hope it continues to heal quickly with no more problems.

This town has some of the most offensive drivers I've ever seen. Put your turn signal on and they will speed up so you can't get in. One guy with a hot rod was so angry because I was doing the speed limit we got under an overpass for the RR tracks and he passed me on the right he had glass packs and he gunned the engine and it was so loud I thought the MH was blowing up.
That's awful. We have some like that of course, but thankfully still have many that will hold up a line of traffic to let you out or to change lanes etc.

but Gary I can still talk to.
Miss him a lot.

wow. Hope it's not and you can still get the implant

glad you're getting it done, but praying it's not cancer.

I thought I had that in my netflix list, but I just checked and apparently not. HBO has it, but we don't have that. I have something similar in Netflix, but don't recall what the name of it is

My hope is that it will not be needed. But if it gets that bad, it is nice that it would be an option. At this point, I am happy. I can follow conversations, but not have problems with sounds waking me up during the night. Any more would be troublesome.

Been asking the kids to get some (crap, can't think of what ya call it.....the stuff Dave recommended that you get in the canning aisle) for awhile now, but they always say they can't find it.
Citric acid (powdered). It is, by far, the best way to clean coffee makers. It also happens to be the least expensive.

Not only is it fantastic for cleaning coffee pots/makers, you don't have to rinse 10 times to get the smell out as I did when I used vinegar.

Here you go...

www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/kicking-cable-to-the-curb.787771/

I got rid of the cable part and bought a streaming box months ago....one of the smarter things I've ever done!

@3mg Meniere - Thanks Kay. I thought there was a site dealing with kicking cable and couldn't remember where it was or what it was called.

Yep, works great. I got some and have used it successfully.

I use it too...on both my coffee maker and my glass teakettle , that even though I filter the water gets a hard white coating from a single use. Heat another pot of water with this in it and it sparkles...:)
