Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

OMG my POD is stuck in Las Vegas and was denied access into So Cal. I moved from Georgia, traveled with my dog and two cats in car, 2,200 miles and arrived safely. My POD on the other hand, carrying all my earthly belongings was held up at the border into CA from Needles and they saw an ant so would not let it across. Like CA does not have ants?? I am without everything one would need to be comfortable, save for what I carried in my car to get here. Sick and tired of my vape gear, my juices and need to get my stuff here. PODS is very careful about what they say (or do not say) and would tell me next to nothing. I did all the work myself, from calling the depart of AG and then obtaining the number and calling the actual border station. As of now it is 4 days late and I have no answers about how to proceed. Getting madder by the day. Does anybody have any idea's about what to do? I cannot get anyone but "my rep" on the phone. They use my phone number as my account number and no matter who I ask for they transfer me to this rep. My dog has more brain cells than this person who knows nothing and only tells me logistics will tell her when it is out of storage in Las Vegas and back on the road. She cannot allow me to talk to logistics. She will send me to a 'supervisors' voice mail but they never call me back. HELP!

OMG, what a mess! I don't have any advice, but hope it get to you soon. I understand being extremely ......!

I decided to put this on the BP because as far as I'm concerned, it's not vape-related... the most ridiculous mod I've ever seen. Has a laser light. OK, I almost hate to admit there's a point at which I say "too much", but this is both too much (appearance) and not enough (performance).

Wait... all it needs is a lighted spinner added on. Then it would be just fine. Right. On the plus side, it does appear to have adequate venting.

Hardly a tootler's mod...

Yeah, a lighted fidget spinner is needed to complete the package. And 3500 mAh built in?

Because CA is primarily an agricultural state, they have had regs in place for what comes across the border that may potentially affect crops for eons....at least since I was a small child which is close to eons...

While I have the greatest sympathy for the situation, and would hope it's resolved in short order...I would not fault CA for wanting to protect their assets. It is not the only state which has some sort of border restrictions or regs. There was a time when attendants on a flight to Hawaii would come down the aisle spraying everyone. lest you were inadvertently carrying something that would cause harm to their AG. I know this, because I was on such a flight...

Florida is the same way. Not quite as bad as CA but, definitely inspect pretty much every truck including U-hauls coming in.

Yepper, same here in da Sunshine State (well, not in da past two days)! 'Member bringin' back some luscious Georgia peaches (tree type, not two legged*) and da south bound agriculture stops on US 41. I think I was 'round eight yo.

We used to go down at Christmas almost every year and sometimes in the spring almost every year to my Aunt and Uncles place, from when I was around 4 till I was 12 and I always remembered the border, it was like going to Canada or something. Made sure you had no fruit or veggies. Do they still have those border crossings and still check every car that goes in.

Oh man, that's awful! I don't understand why nobody will tell you what's up and what is to be done. Are they just planning on keeping your POD forever? What about calling a local TV news station? Sometimes they have segments that help people get results.

Wow! You made it safely with 2 cats and a dog in the car with you. That I can't imagine. We did a trip from San Diego to the Philly area with 3 adults and 1 dog and that was trial of sorts. Still trying to get my head around 2 cats and a dog on that road trip.

It was challenging to say the least. La Quinta every night because they allow pets but only two. Had to smuggle a cat in each night. With litter boxes and food dishes every night. The two cats fought in the one large cage I had in the cargo area so had to be separated. Not something I would attempt again. Lol

Were you able to get the Hex in for repair? I just bought a used black v2.1. He listef it cheap even though its perfect cosmetically & the logo is polished. But the battery sled is loose. So Icm sending it for a spa day to repair the sledn check the connections & board.
