For the time being, Henry's hard grape soda has moved into first place on my list of flavored hard sodas, ciders and the like. It's low octane, just 4.2% alcohol, but there is no alcohol taste that I can detect at all. It's also a couple bucks cheaper per 6-pack than the least expensive of the hard root beers. I've tried Henry's hard orange soda version but I don't much like it.

I ranted a bit about those on the CASA Facebook page. Let's ban flavored juice but sell hard soda in flavors kids will love. Better lock the fridge before a bunch of kids get alcohol poisoning.

After spending the last year or so in my local vape Cafè with 20 and 30+ somethings, I seem to have been converted to more modern type music, but that brought back a lot of memories as I was dragged up in that era

I posted this last night on the Kawfee thread. Yesterday was not a good day for me and who knows how long this will take to heal. Tried to be stoic and just use ibuprofen yesterday, but fortunately a good friend who broke her arm last year gave me some oxy. Took 1/2 pill at bed time. With the pain I still had I don't want to think about how it would have been without it.

Back to ER tomorrow for them to check it and I will ask for better pain meds (NOT expecting oxy, but something stronger than ibuprofen.)

Well, my day started with a bang. I was putting Tasha in the van to go work at the dog show. Car next to the van didn't leave me a can opener. Stupid me let her try to jump in. Her angle was off, we stumbled and her collar got caught on the crate. She was gagging, strangling and in my efforts to free her, and her total panic, she bit off the end off my right thumb. Not completely, but I get her free and ran to DH holding my thumb.

Wrapped my thumb in paper towels and ice and off to the ER. Fortunately no one was before me so I got right in. After hurry up and wait (while waiting DH checked Tasha and she is fine), xrayed shows 1st bone in thumb is broken. Dr reattached the thumb end, tetanus shot and intervenous antibiotics. More antibiotics and pain meds. They also splinted my thumb to avoid further injury and help keep it clean.

Well, not only won't I be braiding for awhile, I also realize no recoiling. Hopefully I can clean and dry burn , but this sucks. Finding so many things I won't be doing for who knows how long.

Oh no! That's got to hurt like crazy! I hope they can give you something to help with the pain. Lots of nerves in the fingers to heal. I've heard a combination of Ibuprofen and Tylenol can be pretty effective. I sure hope so. Healing thoughts coming your way.

Wasn't on last night (Seahawks won, 4 - 0 for the preseason :thumb:) so didn't see it there.

Great job on the life-saving, glad Tasha's ok, and hope it all comes back together for you soonest, and that you can get something better to deal with the pain.

If they are not opposed to giving you something stronger ask them for Fentanyl Patches. 25mcg should be good. They are excellent for pain control. They give you pain control for 24 hrs a day for 3 days at a time and do not hit you so strong as to make you woosey or dizzy after the first couple. They are the best for waking in the morning with no pain and going to bed at night with no pain. Plus not having to remember when you took your last. If you only use them for a month or two you will be amazed at how well they work without any of the bad side effects of pills. Another plus is you don't have to worry about taking too many they will just work all the time 24-7. Some of the best pain meds there are. After my amputations I was on pills alone. Couldn't even get out of bed without 2 pills. I used the fentanyl and the first time I was amazed when I got up the first morning with no pain.

I found a video on using the iPhone 6s, All the basics for transferring from android to IOS. Looked at some and very interesting. 90 min long. It is an amazing phone, more like a computer with sensitivity to tell the difference in the pressure you use when touching to bring up other things such as options or taking live photos. Think I'm going to love playing and learning it.

Might even consider giving Ginny this computer so she has something that works well and can learn from it. She has been wanting to learn how to use a computer and this Lenova is a great computer. Then I could pick up a MacIntosh also at Apple refurbished. Seems like a good OS and might even be worth going to. Now if I can get her to hold her attention on how to use Windows 10.
