Well she left today and is spending a couple days with her half sisters at her real mothers house. She has to be back at work Tuesday in El Paso and spends most of the day Monday flying and at airport. Short trip but better then nothing we were glad to see her.

Sorry it was a short visit, but at least you got to spend some time with her for Christmas.

He's been snowed under at work. Mrs Kazz broke her wrist about a week ago, plus her clinical trial she's in. I think his plate is overflowing right now.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through ECF
Not a poster was stirring, not even a mod;
The wick and wire were waiting by the fireplace with care,
In hopes that their new Nauti 5 soon would be there;

Visions of their new shinnies’ danced in their heads;

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
They sprang to see what was all the matter.
Away to the window they flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The sun was abreast of the new-fallen snow
It gave the lustre of mid-day to the shinnies’ below,
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But their long waited USPS driver - he was now using reindeer,

With a little old driver, not so lively and not so quick,
They knew in a moment that this sure wasn’t no St. Nick.
Faster than a China Delivery his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, ! now, DELIVERY! now, PACKAGE and ADDRESSEE!
On, SERVICE! on STAMP! on, SCANNED and TRACKER!
To the top of the driveway! to the mail box we go!
Now dash away! dash away! to the next house by the snow!"

As smokeless vapor that swirled around and around,
Never a doubter, could hardly be ever found ,
So up to my own mail box the reindeer flew,
With the sleigh of shinies, and the USPS Driver too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard like a spoof,
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I vaped on what was in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the sidewalk the USPS driver came with a bound.

He was dressed all in khaki’s, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of shinnies’’ he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a modder dressed in what was not tact.

His eyes were squinting as his lungs became full!
His cheeks puffed as he blew clouds like a bull
His mouth was drawing up for another vape,
And his chest was expanding till it had all it could take;

The Provari topped with a Nauti he held tight in his fist,
The vapor encircled his head as he checked his list;
He had a broad face and a big old belly,
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, as delivery men are,
And I laughed when I saw him, even from afar;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the tanks; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, all coils were wicked and clean as a rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-VAPE-NIGHT!

Hey Semi I finally got hold of a little gal in the Phillipines that I used to talk to a lot. She has heart problems and can't afford the surgery yet she is hoping in January. She has been out of touch for quite a while. She doesn't have a lot of money so sometimes she has internet and others not. Another gal that lives there has also been wondering about her cause she was having problems breathing when laying flat. She need her Mitral Valve replaced. Seems like a nice enough kid. Never asks for any help just likes to talk. I say kid I think she is in her mid 30's the other gal is a retired nurse over there also a heart valve patient. It's really weird Mairmz thats her name sent me a thing from the hospital over there and the price of their surgeries. It reads like a restaurant menu. Any surgery has a price. Weird.

It is a lucrative business-- medical tourism. Americans go to countries like the Philippines and India and get cut-rate medical treatment-- I understand that there is no problem with the quality of such treatment. Insurance companies don't like it, though.

Yep I looked up the price of the surgery I had and it was about 1/10th of what it cost here. It's a cash up front business there. I was looking at the price of an echo there it was like $75 here it's $900+

She lives in Manila and this menu was from a really large hospital there. She said that they get no help from anyone there that the local govt is corrupt.

I gotta get caught up here. Been kinda busy lately with the daughter don't know why I just don't call her that cause that is what she is and RL stuff. Get my new feet and ankles on Thursday. They are the latest in electronic microprocessor technology. I can even control certain features of them with an app on my phone. They will go out flat so you can get regualar pants on plus they are water resistant to 3' for 30min so with the covers they make I'll be able to take a shower standing up first time for that in 9 years. That will be nice for a quickie, still have to sit down to wash my stumps but I can do those once a week and I'm fine.

Well we haven't been about the porch much this week. Been a busy week. Kaitlin, Brian and Huxley have came in last weekend and we've been doing a lot of family time. We'll be celebrating Christmas tomorrow with Michael, Rachel, Miles, Kaitlin, Brian, and Huxley all together ... what more could we ask. Kate and her family fly out on Christmas day for Arizona to be w/ Brian's Dad before heading back to Colorado.

So Janet's been baking ... this is our traditional Dobas Torta ... although Janet kicked it up a notch with a fancy top.

Been so nice having Kate and Hux around for the week.

Ain't he a cutie ... he likes to smile ... he's a happy baby.

Michael's been around a couple days and we had Mile's around too this week. This is his 'just off the boat at Ellis Island' look.

But this is he real look ... he's already a huge fan of Batman ... not a surprise so is my son.

Just love having both the grand babies around this week.

so... my daughter texts me shortly before noon to ask if i'm awake. what the heck? she's rarely up this early since she has to close her bar and usually is up all night. after a while i call her back to make sure nothing's wrong and she tells me she's making plans for a subdued xmas.

we hang up. and then i realize the time is actually past midnight, not noon. sheesh... not being able to sleep for an hour or two at a time is starting to wear on me. . .

They do it like that trying to entice people to come to the Philippines for surgeries. Be careful with that - while not all - the best doctors are practicing in other countries where they get paid more. There are several good ones in country, but if they can get out they do...

It is also a lucrative business for people to scam with needed surgeries when there is no surgery needed... Be careful helping someone... Some times it is real and some times it is not...

Yeah thats what I thought at first when I started talking to her but she is just a 35 year old kid her brother died of the same thing she has. She has a little store which is really not a store it's just a little shack in front of her house that she shares with her mom. She has 2 kids and the father left. At first it sounded like a scam but she never asked for anything and if you go to her FB page it's just pictures of her and family members. Seems she has a lot of family. No one has much but she seems happy. She did ask me one time about 3 years ago if I needed someone to come to the states to take care of me. She didn't know I was married. She is in some kind of like a jr college. Most of her posts are in Phillipino to her friends. She's just a nice kid with a medical problem but shes working on it. Her english is not the best but she gets by.
