I love me salt on the rim and salty queen olives to go with my margarita....it bothers me when I have to specify that I want a salted rim when ordering here.....what kind of margarita is that ?

According to the great Google, a martini made with onions is a Gibson.

They always had a hard time salting the rim of the pitcher when I ordered a margarita. So finally I told 'em to leave out the citrus juice, Triple Sec and ice, and just gimme straight tequila.

I wonder if others do this or it's 'just me' - when I wake up, every morning that rolls around, I have a different song in my head! Immediately upon becoming 'conscious' of my thoughts, before I even get out of bed, I become aware of it wafting around in my noggin.
One morning I woke up with the theme song from Cats in my head. I didn't think I had ever heard it before. But, I must have.
A dollop of Mayfields 'Homemade Vanilla' ice cream to the rescue! mmm-mmm, good to the last drop! :thumb:
I have GOT to try that.

for real or are you messin with me?
I know this is a waaay late answern but I usey Note 2 to jot quoick notes. You can whip out the stylus & a new sticky note opens when you do that. Write your note, save it, done. Easier & faster than typing a memo. You can also play around with an app that imports a pic & you can write or draw on the pic. Open s pdf file & edit it for correction later. Lots of good thimgs for business use. It's a vool phone. They call yhem phablets. Phone/tablet. Bigger than a syandatd phone, smaller than a tablet.

Although she may chastise me for posting this ::

We have a Fellow Porcher, Mrs C, who is going thru some major medical issues with her Father .. and, although she is unlikely to mention it herself, I am taking it upon myself to ask that we direct Positive Thoughts toward the vicinity of Indianapolis, IN, in hope that the Collective may somehow channel a bit of Cosmic Energy her and her Fathers way ..

It's from the Heart, A ..

@MrsC, praying for you both! TY, Willie!

I'm going to be away from ecf for a fairly long time as I began my research for my next book. My current work in progress, Naked Alliances is scheduled for publication in September. Some of you have asked about it. I'll drop a line as soon as I have the publication date.

My next book has already been outlined and I will be meeting with representatives from all six Seminole Indian Tribes over the course of the next few weeks; Panther, Bear, Deer, Wind, Bigtown, Snake and Otter. There are six reservations in the Federal Trust that I will be touring; Hollywood Seminole Paradise, Big Cypress, Tampa Reservation, Brighten Reservation, Immokalee, and Ft. Pierce.

Each and every Seminole man, woman and child receives a check of from $7000. to $150,000 per year from the tribes' gaming industry and non-gaming enterprises. The tribes have quickly gone from poverty to immense wealth over the past three decades. With a new generation that has never lived in the thatched roof chickees of their ancestors, or suffered the deplorable conditions of reservation life in the sixties and seventies, new problems arise as they receive distributions that lead the young people to believe they do not need to go to school or work for a living. Crime, excessive gambling, financial irresponsibility, and drug and alcohol problems threaten the existence of their culture. This is the skeleton that forms the basis of my next crime novel.

Huge efforts are being made to bring the youth back into the fold.

Book a hotel close to the track. At LEAST 3 months in advance. 'Cause traffic backs up alllllll the way to the other side of Orlando!
Don't have to worry about a hotel, Daytona Beach is home. I was born and raised there. Just planning on imposing on the neice who lives about a mile from the track. Also don't have to buy tickets. Been friends with the France family my whole life. My sister (oldest of us 6) babysat for Bill Jr.

I'm trying to get caught up but wanted to post one quick comment. I am sitting on my patio waiting on my smoker to come up to temp so I can put 3 racks of ribs and trimmings on it. My daughter has to work tomorrow so we are having our celebration today. I was in the store the other day and they had racks for $1.89 a pound. I couldn't pass that up. I will also be adding Jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese then wrapped in bacon. Yum Yum! I feel like I should be on Hee Haw.

When I was younger my favorite drink was Tequila. No lemon or salt just a beer chaser. When I could find it I liked Jose Cuervo 1800 Silver. At home, I kept it in the freezer.

 I always go shopping with a list, but.......if I forgot to put it on the list ? Guess I need to make a list to remind me to put some things on the list....o_O
I downloaded a program called Google Keep. I have it on my phone, tablet and laptop. I am able to make a shopping list on one device and read it on any of the others. It does more than just that, however, I haven't figured it all out. Anyway, I can make and add items to my list and when I go shopping I can view and edit the list on my phone while out shopping.

Thanks for posting, I shared it on FB and now waiting to see how folks react.

On a Side Rant :: For anyone curious, yes, I do support the $15.00 minimum wage

As an employer you would be willing to pay some teenager $15/hr to flip burgers or mop the floor? Nah...........I don't think so.

monthly rate for Medicare gets adjusted (yearly maybe)?

It's based on the yearly inflation percentage. According to our omnipotent and marginally intelligent government there has been no inflation for the last two years so no raise for the last two years. This year the generosity of our nanny state has decreed that there will be a .05% (not 5%) raise for those of us who are draining this country's resources by receiving our SS benefits. Ask anybody under the age of 40 and they will tell you that America is going to rack and ruin because we are taking "their money" without working for it. The words I have to those folks would burn the hair off a llama!!!!!!!!!!!

Um, isn't it the SocSec that goes up based on inflation? And, of course, most any time it does, Medicare premiums do as well.... since we're making so much more.....

But what really gets to me is how both have been labeled "entitlements."

Excuse me? I paid into it for 40+ years with basically no choice in the matter, yeah, I'm ENTITLED to get my money (plus interest) back!!

Yea, I have never figured that one out. Unemployment (paid for), SS (paid for), Medicare (paid for), etc. etc. etc... It's the loopholes and the fraud that is killing the systems - plug those and it is all fixed...

Edit: Sorry, tiny rant...
