Dairy Queen?

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

What's been really discouraging to me is that there are 245,791 members of ECF and only 57,295 signatures...

Yabutt how many are not US citizens? From what I gather this is actually a UK run site. So any non US person would only dilute the list and pretty much make it irrelevant.

The average number of Registered Members on this Forum over the last several months, other than when the Deeming info came out and things spiked, runs around 225 - 275 on ECF at any given time .. I don't know if that's Worldwide, although since there is a UK specific link at ::

UK Forum

I would suspect the Forum we populate is USA Registered Members .. the current numbers had been in decline for a few years, yet seem to have stabilized lately .. I think many see ECF as a large population, however, at least within the USA, it's relatively Small Town as it relates to many other sites ..

And, just to pre-answer curious minds :: "How do you know this, Willie .. ??" .. I was a mod on a large Tech forum for several years and have a software that can compile results as well as even determine what a site is worth monetarily .. there are sites now a days that compile a wealth of info on various data, if you're willing to dig them out .. it's all out there these days ..

There has to be a joke in there somewhere .. "Burger King marries Dairy Queen, and Mayor McCheese toasts the Couple .. they go on to have a threesome and procreate two children that they name, er, (still waiting for full coffee kick in .. ;)) ..

love you too darlin! Hope you have a good weekend. if it's a chemo one.......hope it goes as smoothly as possible!

This new chemo is an ongoing thing. She has to take the pills every day for 21 days, then 7 days off. :( Pretty easy as far as "getting" the chemo, but the side effects of this one are pretty rough. The worst of them right now causes her hands and feet to be very tender and sore. Poor thing can't hardly walk, and even opening jars or bottles is painful. Before I leave for work, I make sure that she has things to eat and drink with a minimum of manual manipulation, and try to leave a few things that are easily accessible for her. :)

Apparently there is a coup going on in Turkey. My neice is in Istanbul with her husband and kids. Her husband is a Turkish citizen. Please keep her safety in your prayers. She is talking to me via text and says they are keeping the lights off and sitting in the dark. Says they can see jets and helos flying low over the house. Erhan is a member of a well connected family. No political power but, quite wealthy. They spend about a month each summer there with his family. They're in Istanbul getting ready to come home but, now they can't get to the airport. The military is saying they are in control now and have declared marshall law.
They're fine. Thanks for asking. The got out of Istanbul the next day and are now at his family compound about 30 miles away and heading to the island soon. They'll be back stateside in early August. Thanks everyone for the prayers and support. You can see it works because they're fine. :)

Saw this a bit late, but very happy to hear that they made it out and are safe. :) Prayers will continue for them to remain safe and sound, Brother.

grew up with u/s sun tea,, then evolved into lemon tea,, if given a choice i like sweet tea (you are right,, add sugar when hot).. i also like honey tea. (but i have to have the honey from within a 2 state radius if i want to live/breath/wake up tomorrow.) i also like hot tea,, as listed above.....i have never tried any of the herbal teas..they dont sound appealing,,(and i bet they are awesome/just got to get my head around the idea)

I've tried a few of the herbal teas, and actually enjoy quite a few of them. I also like to make tea with Pine needles from the back yard. It's very high in Vitamin C and is quite good for you. Add a bit of raw, local honey, and it's good stuff.

After you get the iced tea, iced, and in a glass, squeeze a wedge of lime in it instead of lemon. Give it a couple of minutes to bond with the tea. It really is good.

You're absolutely right. I actually prefer lime to lemon on most occasions. Except that I prefer lemonade to limeade. ;)

Ok gang........for those who choose to participate......... we did this on another thread and it was fun. Just take the test (yeah it isn't real comprehensive) then post a screen shot of your results. It was fun to see who was what, and another person will compile a spreadsheet with results. It was mentioned on that thread that it would be fun to see the results in other groups where folks have been together for a long time such as the BP.

Free personality test | 16Personalities

Okay, I took both of the tests, and got the same results... looks like I'm an Entrepreneur (ESTP-A)

Well, the joke that I heard a million years ago goes: Dairy Queen marries Burger King because of the size of his Whopper.

We have posts from members in other countries: England, Australia and Canada to name three.

The UK Forum is simply a forum subheading within the ECF Forum.

I remember from years back, when still living in SoCal, what I termed the summer of the burger chain wars. The various slogans always got me laughing.

Of course, the BIG mac, and the Whopper...
Wendy's slogan at the time was hot and juicy....
And Jack, in the box...

And then there was the far behind the pack chain - In 'n Out Burger....

In 'n Out... Animal Style... best fast food burger I've had in a long while!
Absolute best? A chain called "Backyard Burger"... their Black and Blue burger wins, every time. Cajun blackened seasoning on the patty with blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion... MMMMMmmmmm!

Oh hell, @Debadoo , I'm sorry. You asked me how I was doing tonight. I'm all right. I'm at work. Been busier than a one legged man in an ... kicking contest. Came in to work to the same broken helicopter that we left offshore last hitch. The thing is practically brand new now. New engine, new drive shaft, new transmission, new free wheeling unit...............Yes, I've been busy. The mechanics ........swamped!!
helicopters,,,,, do you happen to know the gang from Republic Helicopter here in Houston? they service the offshore industry too (ships & platforms)

Yes, I know a Registered User can post on any ECF subforum .. my point was Registered Users On EFC at any given time // Worldwide or Subforum specific .. ?? I'd guess Subforum specific .. based on the Country the User originally registered in ..

You oughta write ad copy! Good thing I've got ground turkey and my GF* ready for action or I'd be rushing out the door to get a burger somewhere, after that mouth-watering description.

If you're mining data from the ECF Forum (E-Cigarette Forum) then you're looking at all the registered members regardless of where they live.

LOL! That's just the basic description, Bells... and believe me when I tell you, that description does no justice to the actual burger! As for writing ad copy... yeah... I'll keep my day job. ;) I'd likely starve if I were to depend on my usage of words to support my livelihood.

Two all beef burgers, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

There was a time in the '70s that The Golden Arches would run specials that got you a free Big Mac when you uttered that phrase.

I guess the true test of an ad is longevity of memory .. and I do remember that ad .. I also credit the fine folks at various Fast Food eateries for the help provided in my Journey toward artery clogging ..
