That must have been some delicious beef! My #3 exhusband was raised on a farm. He threw a fit when I bought meat & put it in the freezer. He wanted me to stop h biy meat every could of days & keep it in the fridge. I worked 12 -14 hours day & 2 or 3 nights a week. His 3 kids were supposed to eat what? I handed him the meal plan & grocery list & told him to knock himself out & have dinner ready by 6 everynight because the kids & I would be hungry.my pops raised organic cows long before it was cool....until 2010+/- i had never bought beef at a store. when he wound down the farm i got sticker and taste bud shock from the grocery store meat. (find a local farmer if you can,, buy 1/2 cow...its well worth it)
pops also believed animals should not be stressed because the meat would be tough/bad. he raised them in manageable numbers and would take hours to care for them,, they got back rubs, neck rubs,, some even had names (our son named 1 Dinner)......... lots of fresh water and hand mixed grains & alfalfa,, some wheat for filler. he did pretty good,, others would say he was crazy.. they did. .....wonder what they were eating lol
I usually season lightly when we have a guest & tell them they can feel free to season to taste. Mom is on low salt, but I'm not, so I cook for her & add what I want when it's on my plate.Ya'll have some unusual taste buds. Must be regional to each person.
Me - If you want to put something on your food and you feel it taste better with it on it - then go for it, but if you are at someone's house - before you put anything on it notice if the others are and if they aren't - then don't - at least taste it first...
[emoji8] now stop killin' off your friends!you are dead to me, too...
nah, i love you, too
Yes it was! Lots of thumping & flipping & fire!Hey, AWESOME Battlebots last night, huh???![]()

That was neat and much better for both; human and animal. I agree the meat taste totally different now and I don't necessarily like it either. Organic meat and veg is the only way to go. Kind of lends itself to what my Mom taught when I was young about always buying the best you can afford even if it's less. Because you can only get out what you've put in; so one Good Burger was better than several badmy pops raised organic cows long before it was cool....until 2010+/- i had never bought beef at a store. when he wound down the farm i got sticker and taste bud shock from the grocery store meat. Also try a little dash of Horse Radish in the Meatloaf. That was one of Mom's tricks. Not on meatloaf! CoM soup with a package of Lipton onion soup is great for a roast. Rub the soup mix on the roast & get it started in a crockpot, then before itcs done pour the soup on it.

I have determined that people wo put ketchup (catsup) on a hamburger have obviously been influenced by sinister forces and should be viewed with suspicion.
People who put ketchup on hot dogs should be strangled, beheaded, body burnt, and the ashes buried in an old spitoon in a gutter behind a defunct brothel at midnight on the dark of the moon.
i'm the only insomniac, SemiWell, couldn't sleep. Thought - well let's see what everyone is doing - most of the time I wake up during the night I stay off the computer, but figured - one time - what the hay nobody's up - huh -
Well good night - again...

I've heard of mayo on corn on the cob. My SO puts PEANUT BUTTER on her corn! So does the rest of her family![]()
That just might make grits edible. While not every time - I have been known to put spicy mustard on my grits...![]()
