Just had to share THIS wid ya'll. Ma Nature continues to amaze me!!!

That was totally amazing! How is it possible to pick a winner??? One of the things I was talking to my daughter about was the amazing sky in Colorado. The mountains are close outside her dining room windows and we can see the weather coming over the peaks. It seems a lot of the bad weather passes right over her house and we get to watch it! So cool.

I can mark on the calendar that the sky will be overcast the nights of celestial events. yep, tonight too. We're all clouded over!

Oh Lord, I hope this isn't catchy! Normally, I go to sleep between 10 -11 each night and am up at 6-7.

For the past two nights, up at 3:30 can't get back to sleep and then nap during the day only to repeat the same thing all over again.

How long do you nap? Anything more than 20 minutes or so can mess up a good nights sleep.

Thanks Kenna it's actually supposed to be clear here tonight. We leave tomorrow over the mountains to our friends place for another week. Supposed to be hot there. Ginnys reunion is Saturday supposed to be 95 there. It's 72 here with a nice cool breeze today. 32nd anniversary today, and they said it wouldn't last.

Happy Anniversary Pat and Ginny!!!

We arrived safely. Left Hampton ar 9AM and pulled into the driveway here at 11:50 PM. Even though we were exhausted we still didn't get to sleep until 3:30 or 4:00 this morning. Up around.11:30 AM. We went to see Doree's mom around 2. It's so sad.
She is just about withered away to nothing and staring off into space. The doctors say she could go at any time. I am glad we made it before she went so Doree had a chance to say goodbye.
I was talking to our neighbor this afternoon and both of us agreed that there should be a more humane way to deal with this kind of thing but, then you would have the azzhats that would just put someone down rather than do the right thing and take care of them. Maybe the Eskimo ice flow thing really was the right idea.
Thanks for your prayers everyone. I will keep you informed. Love you all.

{{{{Matt & Doree}}}} I'm so glad you made it safely. You've been on my mind since you posted that you were making the trip. Sending strength and comfort to you both.

Haven't posted much, but I got home in the wee hours this morning. So good to be home after being away for a month, but I already miss being with our daughter in CO. Little Huck is becoming more aware of his surroundings and it's so cool to see him study things. The wonderment of babies is fascinating to watch. We made a quick trip to see Miles tonight. Wow, he's getting so big so fast. Mike picked up a toy kitchen set from Craigs List and I ordered cookware and play food for him to cook. He was having such a great time with it! Hope he grows up to be a great cook! Today we found out that our little man is graduating to the 2 yr old class at his daycare! Sheesh! Wasn't he just born??

Don't you wish they lived closer? That's hard, missing Miles or missing Huck. Way cool that you got Miles a kitchen. He'll have a ball!

Been up since just after 12, and hardly seen anything... turned off all the house inside lights, the low-watt deck lights, sat on the deck with eyes closed (sippin' a Bud Light Lime) while waiting for the moon to finally set... hmpf... saw a few very faint ones, and one 'good' one so far... not nearly the 120-150 per minute that was forecast.

Interesting news about what's been determined to be the longest-living vertebrate:
400-year-old Greenland shark ‘longest-living vertebrate’ - BBC News
?? Googled it - no description for what the flavor is really like???

Mild anise flav. Not bad if use sparingly <not a licorice fan here>...
Until now, I never did any research on tarragon. I've never noticed any hint of anise, which I'm not fond of either. To me, tarragon is similar to basil, but sweeter. I have no clue whether the tarragon I use is French, Russian or Spanish. I definitely do not use it sparingly; I pile it on.
Tarragon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First time I've EVER seen a DJI drone for a lower price than the price the manufacturer sells it for. DJI (also located in China), sells it for $1200, down from the original price of $1400. On the other hand, the package with 2 extra batteries is less expensive to buy from DJI than to buy from fasttech. The Phantom 4 has been in production since about April. It has some interesting features but the camera is the same as the one on the Phantom 3 Pro, which I already have.

I'm thinking that fasttech is probably not an authorized reseller, which would render non-existent the already fairly pitiful after-sales service from DJI. I buy from BHPhotovideo.com

I can't sleep! I've laid down numerous times. I have to be up in 2 hours!
oh that stinks. I just had a big bout with insomnia, 30 some hours, then finally slept.

Tonight (Thursday 8/11/16) - peak starts at ~midnight ET. I set a reminder on my smarty phone.
welp, I missed that!

My kids don't know it yet, but I plan to wake them up so we can all go outside for awhile. We're all headed to accompany daughter to college tomorrow morning, and we won't see her for a good while... hopefully this will make some good memories.

Wish I could but, early day tomorrow. The Bud light got warm, so I traded it in for a bowl of Black Walnut ice cream... stumped my toe in the meantime, walking thru a pitch dark house. Ice cream gone, eyelids gettin' heavy, long day... gotta crash.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

g'night y'all
nite darlin!

Oh, I found the printer pw, it didn't work neither. grrrr I'm kinda wondering if I have to have it installed on the puter first. I tried that, but it doesn't seem like it took. I have some icons on the desktop for it, but it doesn't show up in my printer folder. Think I'm gonna call HP when my son gets back and he can set it up on the dining room table for me. It's too low with what it's sitting on now. That way I can move the laptop to the DR table and have both of them and the phone all together.

www.myfreedomsmokes.com has a special going on that gets you a Pioneer iPVD3 80w box mod for $5 if you buy $75 worth of other stuff not including the box mod. I have no clue whether the TC mode/Wattage mode mod is any good.

When you add the box mod to your cart, and enter the coupon code 5BUCK3, a discount of $45 is applied against the $50 price of the mod.

You also get free shipping with the $75 purchase. I thought it was worthwhile to order a couple of Kanger Subtank Plus tanks and a couple 5-packs of Subtank pre-built coils in order to get the $5 mod. The stuff I ordered was stuff that I'll need eventually anyway.
