Janet said; Oh geese, sorry to hear that! Sure hope this turns out to be a minor setback.

It looks like the local glass shop should be able to fix it. Taking it down today to find out. If they can't I don't know what we're going to do.

One of my biggest complaints is that if I miss a post and see it quoted later, I used to be able to click on it and it would take me to the original post. That doesn't seem to work anymore.

Good luck with window. We had to replace a couple that had lost their gas seal between the panes. (Condensation was actually settling in between the panes of glass.) Since the window manufacturer couldn't be identified we had to replace the whole schmoo - frames and all.

Matt it's still there, but like several options it's been reduced to a micro sized thing.

In this case you are looking for a teeny tiny up arrow ↑ after the OP's name of the quoted post. (Like right here where it says: MattB101 said ↑ ) Click on the tiny up arrow - the hover over for it is all of about 5 pixels wide (Sigh...) so it can take some determination to find the hover over spot.

Its been weird at the feeders here so far. Spotted a sole Blue Jay a couple days ago and yesterday morning a very skittish male Cardinal but that's been it for interesting birds this spring.*

*Well, it's been said that we really don't have a spring here in New England. Spring for us is something like 18 hours that occurs on a random day somewhere between Winter and Summer.

Still hitting the low 40's overnight here. Fran I take it temps aren't any better further north?
It's been pretty cool here overall but we have the 70's coming in finally on Sunday.

When my kids teased us about what we used to wear I told them just wait, in a few years I'll be able to tease you about wearing men's underwear with the top rolled down! And the guys with the pants down around their butts!! Sheesh!

Janet, when my girls were in middle school, the "in" thing was for the girls to wear big ol' flannel shirts over their tops with jeans. I found Dude standing in front of his closet one day just staring at his clothing. He turned to me and said...they have taken every flannel shirt I own...and they had...every one was gone. lol

I picked them up at school one day and when the bell rang, all these girls came streaming out the doors...most of them in big flannel shirts. I can imagine that a lot of dads were wondering what happened to all their flannel shirts. lol

We badly need rain, and were supposed to get some tonight but it fizzled out. This isn't an area where we usually get fire weather warnings and red flag days, but for most of April that's what it's been. No forest fires (you have to have trees for those) but lots of grass fires.

I've still got a couple of weeks to go before the humming birds get here. After all the migrating ones last fall I'm curious to see if they'll stop by on their way again.

But I'll lose some entertainment value when I put the hummingbird feeder up, since I'll be taking down a mesh sunflower feeder that doesn't' interest the birds much, but has become a squirrel gymnastics show. It's on a pole with multiple feeders and doohickeys, including a pretty much useless 6" plastic bird bath that goes into a horizontal ring. So the squirrels have been hanging upside down from the ring and kind of stretching sideways to pull the sunflowers out one at a time. They've been keeping me and the cats entertained for weeks.

I may try hanging it from a tree branch and see how they figure out a way to get at it there, though I might see if corn would work in it and be a little cheaper than the sunflowers. It's supposed to be a squirrel proof feeder, too.
This feeder is supposed to be the best. I have several friends that love them.

The URL redirects to forums and subforums should be working. But it's a good idea to update those old bookmark URL's as you go along anyway as they are different now.

Redirects for bookmarks to specific posts and blogs aren't working yet. The indexing structure is very different between VB and Xenforo and getting those redirects to work right is a lot more complicated.

It's the bookmarks/re-directs for "specific posts" that I'm concerned about. Sure do hope they eventually figure it out. I've got quite a history built up, that I'd hate to lose.

I think it is kind of funny. Every once in a while I see a forum start up a Porch thread, but they never really catch on and seldom make it past a few pages.

Reason - it takes a seasoned person to appreciate the finer points in life - like a comfortable rocker. (LOL)...

Nice Gary! But are you SURE that bush is a vine?
Yup. Has a pole itz it wrapped around holding it up. That one is about 15' high. Also known as a trumpet vine along with like 9000 other names. But since it attracts hummers...
Bright orange flowers shaped kinda like a trumpet.
Oddly, never even heard of them til we moved here. Seems everyone has at least one. We have 4.

That isn't the first complaint I have seen that 'click-on' stuff doesn't open in a new tab or window as it did with the old software.

My biggest "don't like" right now is there is nothing similar to the former What's New? > My Posts option. Yeah, yeah - they say use the Your Content thing but it doesn't display the same and doesn't indicate if there have been new posts in the thread or not as it used to. Not much point in revisiting a thread that has had no further replies - now you can't tell.

Might try a right click on those, and select if from there. Works in Firefox.

The Watched Threads link does that, Rick. Well, for watched threads, anyway :) Gives you only those with new posts.

One of my biggest complaints is that if I miss a post and see it quoted later, I used to be able to click on it and it would take me to the original post. That doesn't seem to work anymore.

Yup, got beat to it, but it's a tiny little greyed arrow at the right of the quote.

It's been pretty cool here overall but we have the 70's coming in finally on Sunday.

    What time Sunday?

Or is that like our sunny days? Really, in western WA EVERY day is a sunny day. Just that a lot of them it's hidden behind the rain clouds.:sneaky:
