I still have hopes that it'll get put in the box. A lotta folks miss it apparently

Since I was diagnosed with Threadacarophobia and never leave the soft, warm comfort of our space here, I am just out of the loop on what's happening in the Outside World .. but it's good to know there is an uproar .. add that to the list along with World Hunger .. :)

On inversion devices .. My ever present back pain has resulted in my considerable financial support to the Back Pain Relief Cartel .. (BPRC) .. 3 TENS units, a full body reclining chair massage machine with foot massage option, Therma Care, Salonopas pads, various creams, a spine alignment device that you lay on that was invented by Torquemada himself, heating pads, ice bags .. etc, etc .. and those visits by Astrid get expensive ..

In fact, I believe I kept my Chiropractor in Vegas Vacations for quite a few years ..

My mouse has hovered over an Inversion unit a few times as it resided in my Amazon Cart, asking me to click "Buy It Now" .. I just have not yet fully come to grips with "hanging" quite yet .. yet when I see the geezer on the infomercials hawking his unit, it's tempting .. he makes it look so easy .. and I heard it would cure shingles as well .. :)

Of course, he's been doing his thing upside down for quite a while... but you don't have to do his inverted sit-ups to benefit from one

Now that thar right thar is funNEE!

One thing that's kept me from doing more research into a Teeter Hangup is the worry that at 6'4" my head would touch the floor when inverted. Anybody know if it works well for taller people?

Ours will adjust up to 6'6". The adjustment moves the foot clamp lower, so the body fits lower on the backboard, so shouldn't be a problem.

There's a topic for this thread? Bees? DIY renovations? Music? - Awwww, come on - give me a hint... :D

LOL that's what I mean, Semi. The post above mine could be about anything and I come along and go completely in another direction. I like that no one says..."stay on topic". I have seen that on a lot of forums.

This is why the back porch is in the lounge. If the FP doesn't stay on topic (sorta) it can get moved to the lounge, and not as many folks visit there.

Great news!!! Deleting Pm's has been fixed!! You can now leave/delete all the old ones either singly, or by clicking several at a time.

The guy who is building a deck for us had to have his 15 year old dog put down this week. She couldn't walk and was in pain. He was telling us about it yesterday. I felt so bad for him. From what he said, he lives alone except for his dogs.

I gave Dude some breakfast to give him this morning...not much, but I wanted to do something. I know very well the pain of losing a beloved pet.

awwwwww that was sweet of you lilac, I expect that meant a lot to him!! Jup, it's so hard to lose them. So nice that he knows someone understands and cares!

Thanks, Deb, but it was really nothing. It actually made me feel a little better to do SOMETHING and I couldn't think of anything else.

...Don't y'all get a lot of snow? I would have thought all the snow etc would keep y'all quite moist. That's interesting.

Most years we get a lot of snow, but this winter it seemed to have decided to go vacation on the East coast. I don't think we even got two feet total, and it was dry going into winter.

I personally take credit for the lack of snow here. I have been living under a weather curse* for most of my life, and I bought a nice little electric snow blower that I only got to use once.

* The worst was when we had a garden center and decided to do contract snow removal at a townhouse development. The first year we were paid a flat amount per month and there was over four feet of snow on the ground by New Years day. So we were getting up at 4:00 AM every day and working our behinds off while losing money. So the next year we contracted to be paid per time - so we only got two heavy snow falls all winter.

And of course buying the garden center/yard care business to start with meant that I caused a massive two year drought.:-x

I've been talking about keeping bees after the move. Doree feels about the same about it as you do. Great in some farmer's field, not so great in the backyard.
Also thinking about chickens but, I think the Abby Dog might have something to say about that one. Of course Doree ain't thrilled with that either, spoilsport!

I think that the thing I miss most about living at the farmstead is having chickens. They are so much fun, plus you get eggs. But little rural towns (even with a population of 80) are the worst about allowing "barnyard" animals. They seem to just really want to seem urban.

Wow, well that explains that. Sure can't like that post, you've had a really rotten time of it.

my son will be your first customer. He often has a piece of tissue wadded up and shoved in his nose.
Ah... That explains why bells is usually the only one when I get there... Sometimes. You guys all go out dancing, and since I'm a homebody are never there when I'm off work! :D

Apples... Zebras... and everything in between?
And this is why we never talk of the Zulu tribe. ;)

Very nice of you. My sister had a dog named bandit that they couldn't do a thing with. I visited once a month, since I was only 2.5 hours away, and never had any problems with her. She would walk to heel without a leash, fetch, etc... Even for them when I was there.
One time I left one of my shirts behind, and she appropriated it for her bed. They didn't have any issues until 6 months later when Bandit disappeared for 2 weeks, and came back home having eaten a plastic bag that tied up her guts. No operation possible, they had to put her to sleep. When they buried her in the back yard, I insisted that they nest her in my shirt. I still get sad thinking about her.

yeah I've talked to bells more than anyone, and that's been nice. Talked to runamok and matt a couple times, and you once or twice. before I was always on a night schedule, but the last week or so have been getting up early and going to bed fairly early. And most of the activity here has been at night. By night time even if I'm awake, the pain level gets so bad I don't wanna do nuttin. I did pop on last night for a bit, but it was a slow night. Iffy suggested setting a time we could meet. I would sure do that if I was awake, and didn't forget. lol
