Kinda like the hurricane parties that go on during storms. Some people gotta be nuts! Thankfully, although we live in Florida, we are far enough inland and high enough (well, high enough for Florida) that we would probably be OK for a storm. We do have generators and such and have used them in the past. Can keep the house going except for air conditioning, but better than nothing! A storm this early in the season does not bode well for the rest of the season. We have been very lucky the last few years, hope our time is not up.
Dat kinda scares me with memories of Charlie rippin' up da middle! At least it seems you're in better prep than 99% of da folk.

Actually, our eminent weather prognosticators are predicting a 'non-issue' 'cane season this year; less dan last year. In my area, we haven't had a direct or near direct 'cane hit since my HS years. Our locals have been spoiled rotten fer da last six decades.
None da less, just like vaping, be prepared fer da unexpected!
Nope not me. I use a syringe with a pink tipped blunt needle. I ordered a bunch of syringes and blunt needles a few years ago and can't for the life of me remember where I got them. I'd really like to know cause the price was right and I bought a bunch of them. For some reason I keep thinking it's Health Cabin but they don't show any such order when I call up my order history. Haven't ordered anything from them in a long while and from the looks of what they carry these days, won't be in the future.
I'm just fixin' to wrap it up for the day at the workshop .. probably stop by Red Burrito for some tacos on the way to the house .. it is Friday night, and it's raining cats and dogs here .. I can't decide if I want to go to the club or see if anyone is going to be at Deb's Place .. what's up with it tonight .. ??
It's amazing how often I agree with you on all counts. Saw on the national news (ABC) tonight where some boob in Kansas or Arkansas was sticking his phone out the door filming the tornado as it went over the shelter, survived of course but, nobody said didly about the kids in the shelter with him that could have been killed if the door had ripped off. I say again, sometimes the shallow end of the gene pool could use a little chlorine. Just leave your kids out of it m o r o n!Personally, I have come to dislike Weatherpeople in general .. they all seem to want to "whip" us into a frenzy, then reassure us that "We are watching out for YOU .. " .. well, first, there is nothing they can do but report, second, weather is not a Sports event, third, I can get all the up to date Weather info I need on line or on phone ..
I have, for sometime, hoped that the Bikini Weather Girl concept would catch on Nationwide ..
And then, there are the Half Wits that say .. "Hey Honey, it's a Tornado Alert .. let's pack a lunch, some lawnchairs and the kids up in the SUV and see what we can see .. " ..
You can relax, it's not a real storm. Barely and I mean barely into the tropical storm range. Their just practising their panic mode in case it's needed in the immediate future.

Since I heard thru the Grapevine that a Stripper Pole had been installed with which to "Hang Out" with, my curiosity kicked in ..
If I get word that folks are gonna be there I might check in. Doree is complaining she can't hear the TV when I'm in the hangout so I may try the tablet out in the workshop to keep the noise down. The lack of being able to hear yourself in the head phones makes me talk louder. I'll probably use my Bluetooth headset if I come in tonight so maybe that will be better. If anybody can figure out how to build a little amplifier device to go between the headset and the computer that provides a little sidetone for the talker let me know otherwise I'm going to have to run it through my mixing panel and use the phones output for that. Only problem is there are difficulties in that too.
OK, someone must of double tapped da 'p' key. Just think of BB's self portrait wid da hat...
