I've been having a good birdwatching day. I'm definitely right next to, if not in, a major migration flyway. The latest visitors are orioles - Baltimore and Orchard, and Rose Breasted Grosbeaks. Combined with the Goldfinches and House Finches that hang around all year, it's been very colorful out there.
I'm still trying to come up with some way to mount a camera outside that I could have some sort of a remote shutter on. Taking pictures through an old double pane window just doesn't do them justice. These are all from the last hour:

Nice! We get plenty of birds (and squirrels) just not that much variety. The can be expensive - but hunters use 'trail cameras'. Just mount it outside and if something moves in front of it - it takes a picture.
Well, maybe not ALL the tube type meat........
(Sorry 'bout dat, but I allow myself one juvenile snicker a day and it was just too tempting...)
