All this talk of hot dogs...
For me, it's Angus Ball Park Franks. They plump when you cook them!
Slice of cheese on the bun first, then the dog.
Catsup on one side and spicy brown mustard on the other, with sweet relish on top!
Or... Spicy brown mustard on both sides with sauerkraut on top!
Or.... Bean chili on top!
Or... Cut each into 5 pieces... Wrap completely with layer buskit and bake to golden brown on top!
And I'm southern, so... Cut each into 5 pieces... Dip in egg yolk, sledge in bisquik and deep fry!

Jup or cook em into cornbread for poor man's corny dogs!! Love me some corny dogs, but I like the real thing. with mustard only and lots of it! My son used to say that I only ate corny dogs and soft pretzels in order to have something to get the mustard from the bottle to my mouth!

I nearly lost my left leg to MRSA nine years ago. Was sent home on pills, but came back to ER demanding admission. Glad I did. Had to have IV abts and surgery for debridement, irrigation and drainage. Wasn't pretty. But I do know how serious antibiotic resistant infections can be. I promise to take them all :)
Wasn't intending to lecture. It's just one (of many) of the things that get me up on my soap box. As you are well aware (I now know) there are several bugs out there now that we either have nothing that will cure them or only one antibiotic that will work and it's quickly losing effectiveness. Frosts my cake that doctors continue to write scripts for antibiotics when they know they're not needed. Just because the patient wants or expects them. I swear we should have some good sounding placebos that they can write and fool the patient with. Of course do it just once and have the patient really need an antibiotic and your screwed. Your a nurse, aren't you Seapeach?

All of which sound great. I like the little smokies too. We'll cook up a package with course chopped sweet onions and then eat them on yeast rolls with spicy brown mustard.. Mmmmm, Mmmmm, good!

Never tried the angus ones........my sil used to love ball park franks, but I didn't like em. Very picky bout my hot dogs.
Nermal, if you don't like the angus ball parks, try the nathans. They're still pricey like Hebrew National, but they're kosher and I like em much better than HN ones

Might give them a try. I used to be crazy about Hebrew National. The last package just wasn't right. Wrong taste, and definitely the wrong texture.
Where did you get them? One of the things I really like about Hebrew National is their quality control. It has to be good and within certain standards to be considered kosher. You might have just gotten an old pack and should have written the supplier (Hebrew National) I understand that their customer service is great and you probably would have gotten a coupon for a replacement pack at least.

I got them at Sam's Club, Matt. Three packages bundled for a scoosh under nine dollars. I'm sure you're right about their customer service, but I'm not contacting them over less than nine bucks. I'm sure they wouldn't make me mail back a hot dog, but it just isn't worth the trouble.

Good!!!! Was gonna fuss at ya bout that last night, but we got sidetracked and I forgot.

JUP!! Bestest way to eat grits cheesy or not is fried in bacon grease! you forgot to say bacon grease! View attachment 457937

Jup, that was usually how I did it most of the time, but he said for the issues I was having to not use it at all but only to use ice. Told him I couldn't tolerate the ice at all, and he said bout 1 in 100 have that issue, so not to use ice, but not to use the heat either. I miss it!

me too!! Makes it sooooo good!!

Wahooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry ya had a rough day, but am glad you didn't pick up da cigs. Hope someone can chime in on that cloudy ejuice. I know some that have oils can get cloudy and that will usually go away if you warm them somewhat. Which reminds me, derrrr I should do that to the pluid mike sent me. I keep meaning to tell Mike that it was super cloudy when it got here which I thought was cuz it was so cold, so I hadn't tried it, but maybe I need to warm it a bit. Was just nervous bout it being cloudy.

Hope everyone has a great night! As to the hangout, I don't want us to stop posting here, and I don't think we have. I always have a lot of pages to catch up on. But I don't want us to stop that either, and I think we actually have a pretty good balance. Don't want anyone to feel alienated if they can't participate in the hangout, so everyone please feel free to speak up.
One thing I should certainly be able to multi-task and do both Hang Out and post, just had not taken a notion to, KIm. I felt odd as a newcomer coming into the rooms to go online in a hang out. No reason at all why I can't do both. Thanks for reminding us to be polite.

Yep Ken got me fixed up. I may still goof up from time to time until I get the hang of it.

Morning all!!! Off to get Jalina for school. Tried the 60/40 this morning. My happy point must be between 70/30 and 60/40. Either that or I'm just hard to please.:p

Yesterday was okay, but it was still spitting at me and a bit airy. Today, the cloud is better, but it was a bit harsh on the lung. I have had a chronic cough for over a year that's worse in the morning. After I vape through it, I'm fine. Next vape is good. I turned down the watss a tad and it improved. I'll find myself turning it up later in the day. (Had the same problem with analogs with that first smoke of the morning...so not blaming the vapor.)

Gotta say that's the reason I don't hang here much anymore, I'm not into the whole chatroom thing (hubby no likey) and when I come back here either no one's here or they're talkin' about what went on in the chatroom. Not tryin' to rain on the parade here but it has changed the atmosphere back here, feels kinda like bein' the neighborhood kid that doesn't get to play with the other kids, ya know? I think it's very cool that y'all have Deb's Place, just don't forget your other pals that love to chat and hang with y'all on the porch too. And that's my :2c: :).

I'm glad you spoke up Kim. I've seen a couple really popular threads on ECF that just went null and void when their members started using another social media format to augment ECF. ECF posts dried up and the threads are basically dead now.

I've been to the hangout a couple times and I think it's grand that folks can meet and interact with each other. Brings a new dimension to our relationships and that can be a good thing. But honestly I had a concern on its impact to the porches. Not only for the current group of porchers but to attract and keep new folks rocking' on with us.

I made a blog post on Vaping and other related self improvements today. Had to mention you guys. Started to get some interesting feedback that gave me the opportunity to promote.
Vaping and Relative Self-Improvements | S.K. Nicholls

Excellent post! You are a very good ambassador for vaping. It's going to take awhile for people to sort through all the misinformation out there and your blog offers another source for very helpful information.

As far as vaping being a gateway to smoking, I wonder how many young people would have been smokers, but picked up vaping instead. No way to know that, but it doesn't make sense for someone to start with vaping and then go to smoking. It's possible that some might because kids will try anything, but it seems much more likely to be the opposite. Only time will tell about that.
