Evening all, welcome to any new people and any returning who have been away. Been busy and just trying to keep up with the reading.

Celebrated our youngest granddaughter's 1st Birthday a few weeks early - since Mom is going back to work today. Fun day with all the kids and grandkids. Her brother was so sad - he waited 15 minutes for her to smash the cake - but all she did was eat the icing off the cake :) (Oh and the rest of us had our own cake)

Summary:

If you need new knobs, you can use a tractor to pull out the junk that you dumped in your drawers. Rocking and rolling FREED memories.

Resistance can be titanium, magnesium or futile. It determines what age, watt age, wattage.

Whoo hoo that boy can scream!
awwww missin his mama, or just a demanding lil chit?? Hope he settles down soon. How old is he again? Some of us were wondering and of course, non of us could remember.

rock:
: to move (someone or something) back and forth or from side to side

Now see, I heard this just a bit differently.
rock:
: to cause something or someone to sway back and forth or from side to side (by hitting them with one)

Now, if I could just get my mind out of that dark hole it seems to have slipped into
awwwww hope ya feel better soon sweetie. I do think maybe a lot has to do with not sleeping properly. Just dunno how to fix that for you. Was gonna say that while a lot are low in Vitamin D, I was not. Just a cautionary for everyone...... don't take things like that without getting blood work done to see if ya need it. Too much can be hazardous of some things. So glad you're blood work was good!!! See, all that fretting for nuttin! :)

This thread is humming along.
A lot to read , will there be an audio podcast one day ?

Thanks Deb, Home from surgery. Ate Chick-Fil-A. Going to take a long nap now. Had to check in else I'd be so far behind reading I'd never catch up.
Glad you're home and all went well!! Now to a complete and speedy recovery. Found out today that my son's surgery next Tuesday will at least be one of the easier ones they can do for this. No cheek scraping for those who were in the hangout when I was talking about that. Of the 3 prior surgeries he's had done for this issue, they did it this way once before and it's by far the easiest on him, like home the same day, and back to work quickly, maybe the next day. He'll have to wear a cath for a few days to a week. These surgeries never work for more than a couple months, because he scars so aggressively, but at least this one won't be as hard on him physically to recover from.

I think we need one of those hand held medical things (forget what they're called) on Star Trek. Just wave it over you and know what you need at the moment
Jup.......have always wanted one of those and one of the replicators. Just walk up, tell it.... crab legs! And voila they're prepared in seconds! lol

Her brother was so sad - he waited 15 minutes for her to smash the cake - but all she did was eat the icing off the cake :)
she's adorable!! But way too dainty and ladylike.......I'd be waitin for that along with her brother. lol Wish y'all lived closer, but then in Texas, 2 hrs is a Sunday drive.

Frosty Weather
As we waited for a bus in the frosty weather, the woman next to me mentioned that she makes a lot of mistakes when texting in the cold. I nodded knowingly. “It’s the early signs of typothermia.”

Greek God
My friend told me he had the body of a Greek god. I had to explain to him that Buddha is not Greek.

Difficult Class
Walking through the hallways at the middle school where I work, I saw a new substitute teacher standing outside his classroom with his forehead against a locker. I heard him mutter, "How did you get yourself into this?" Knowing he was assigned to a difficult class, I tried to offer moral support. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Can I help?" He lifted his head and replied, "I’ll be fine as soon as I get this kid out of his locker."

Actual Funny Pet Names
Does kitty dream of slinking down the catwalk? If so, give her a name that screams “I’m a star!” Like these actual pet names …
Cats: Cleocatra Bing Clawsby Chairman Meow Alexander the Grey
Dogs: Mary-Louise Barker Bettie Poops Virginia Woof Iggy Pup

Agreed for mega-doses of D-- not many pharmacies have that on hand. Once the blood-work comes back good, maintenance in the winter for those in colder climates is a good idea.

She is a cutie.

Welcome back Peaches. Glad your surgery went well.

A precious dainty little girl. I know it's tough to live two hours away. Mine is ten city blocks away, but mama seems to think grandmother, who writes, is always available at the drop of a hat to babysit. Love spending time with them, but sometimes have to guard my me time.

Never understood why they didn't just put the transporter and the med. tricorder together. Beam you up and you're healed :)
I'm a simple man with simple wants. Just give me a replicator/tricorder/transporter/cloaking device with warp drive and I'll be happy. OK, maybe temperature control too.

She's SO cute!! As my kids grew I kept saying I love this age best! And now I get to do it all over again with our grandchild!

It's not just the girls who don't make a delicious mess. I did the same thing with my son at age 1 and he wouldn't make a mess either. Our daughter, on the other hand, did a pretty good job! As an adult our daughter took her 8 year old fiancé's son to participate in the Tough Mudder for kids. He balked hard at getting dirty. So, our daughter rolled around in a mud puddle until he joined her. Sometimes it's just fun an ok to get messy!!
