oh wow cl.....Geordie is older than any of us thought....... doesn't seem like that long ago they were born. Better jerk a knot in that young man's tail......screamin cuz he don't git his way. Harumphh 
Just a "Hello" to all. Feeling much better than last week. Still not sure what all is going on. I'm even sleeping better. And that has got to be a first since you have met me.
And I'm talking non-drug induced sleep. heehee
I may not be coming around as much as I used to but I still think of you everyday.

Hi Ratty, I'm really glad your feeling better and I too would like to see you around more often.
Most everything in the Star Trek universe is based on either warp or transporter tech. So basically we need to invent both.

Had to go to the doctor yesterday because my blood pressure was too low. Around 75/40. That's pretty low. He changed my dosage of my BP medicine (Quinapril) and wants me to start taking it in the evening instead of the morning. Tried not taking it this morning and was going to wait until dinnertime. Didn't work out so well, my BP has been hovering around 150/85, way too high. Took a my BP med at 9:00 and then tried to nap for a little bit. That didn't work out either so I gave up, took a nice hot shower. Came down at 10:45 and took it again, 155/83. Going to wait a few minutes longer and try again. The last one was right after the shower coming down the stairs. We'll see what it is after I relax for a few.
oh dang matt, hope it comes back down. Could you try a 1/2 one in the am then 1/2 at night, then start taking at night
I've got friends that got stranded in Houston because of the storm. Can't get out till tomorrow...

It's hanging around 145/85 or so. Not going to blow the top of my head off but still not good. 120/60 is perfect.
Hot dang, finally got da new router working and it's a speedy lil' device; more than double+ my ol' one!
My only two issues were hooking up the cable while the unit was on and being told by my local provider that a red light was 'normal operation'. He even had me look at their in-house routers, and sure 'nuff, all their lights were red. Apparently they're using LAN, not wireless! BTW, he said they don't provide tech support there (doh). Can hardly wait to return my ol' router this afternoon...
Hopefully, I won't be foiled again!

Today, the number of days since my last cigarette is the same as the M/YY of my birth. Both numbers are 851. This will never happen again, obviously.

I used to answer the phone with "Earth Station 1; Environmental control..." until I got a wrong number call and just had to interrogate the poor women as to how she got the number to the secure communications trunk line to Earth Station 1? I think I may have scared her a little , like she'd some how miss dialed and got a secret satellite base or something.
I also used "Sherwood forest, Robin Hood speaking..." till I got a drunk dial that wanted to talk to Maid Marion. I had to tell him she'd run off with Little John but I'd take a message.
and then there was the 30 sec answering machine greeting tape. Yep whether I said Hi leave a message or gave a long drawn explanation as to why I wasn't home it was 30 sec to the beep . so I parodied the Beverly Hillbilly's song. I'd get multiple messages a day of everyone laughing in the sales office when they'd hear my song. I even picked up the phone once and had a Lady say she was sorry but wanted to hear the greeting, I told her to call right back. She called back and I heard howling laughter in the background as she said thank you.
Very funny Scottie... now beam down my pants!

Today, I got a sunburn on my neck and I can barely use my legs...
Only power washed half the front walk, and more to do tomorrow...
I DID manage to get the sunburn bleaching what I had washed...
Can you tell where I stopped?
How can you get sore legs just standing there pointing a pressure washer? And I have to do more of it tomorrow!

Equal and opposite reaction? For every 3000 psi going that way the equal force is going the other way! I found out that just bending over to pick something up off the floor puts about 1000 lbs of pressure on your lower back. And even though I sit on a stool and pull the handle of a re-loading machine I excerpt pressure through my legs to off set the force I excerpt through my arm. Hence my sore legs by the end of a day. Physics applied to the everyday word. Kinda sucks huh?
