Sat on one of those iffy cushions:mad: I'd say excuse me or it was the dog...but it was iffy!!!
I always blame the African Barking Spider under my chair. Stinky little bugger too.

jup, I was looking a few weeks ago at the licenses. I need to contact a club here. My nephew loves to spend tons of money on books, nothing wrong with that......but so much of what he buys can be found on the net for free. He was looking at a book that was well over 100.00 to study for the tests for licensing. Told him I'd contact a club and see if that was a good thing or if there was a better way, then I forgot.

ok, just did one like that, let's see if it works..... View attachment 418577

looks like it will.....thanks!!
Tell him to go to the ARRL (American Radio Relay League) website. They have sample tests and everything. They are THE ham radio organization.

lmao! Just make sure they start with the upper!

Thanks bells, jup that is what iffy said too about the smiley's, tried it and it worked. I've got a Dr appt thurs, and my SIL has her lung biopsy that day, so I may have to change mine. Hers is way more important. The times don't conflict, but she may need "seein to" after hers
She most likely will, I did. But, not a lot. They try to be gentle but, I don't think surgeons really know how. My surgeon moves you around like a slab of meat.

Thanks, been around just not on this thread for a few days. My home made juice with no artificial flavors or sweetners is working out nice. My mouth and buds are almost plumb healed up. Mostly fruit flavors so far. Going to order some more small bottles of new flavors and then get big bottles of the ones I like.

I do buy tobacco flavored juice though. Had fits trying to find one that was like real cigs. Most was a bit fruity or butterscotchy, etc. Tried all a few vape stores had and finally found Busk Naked American Tobacco flavor. Best so far but still not exactly what I want.

2 months off cigs so far and still a bit of a struggle so I need some tobacco flavor vape sometimes.
If your making your own try "Real Cig" in the Vaping Zone Super Concentrated flavors. Mix at 2.5 - 3%. Closest I've found anyplace. I use it as my ADV.

We had a bunch of snow here. When shoveling snow I discovered that my "wind" was light years better than it was just 2 months ago. Got physically sore before I ran out of breath.
Cool isn't it?

Dave, if you are supposed to be having both procedures - on purpose - that would make sense. Since they have to provide some level of sedation for either procedure there would be no point in putting you under similar sedation twice on two separate dates, most likely when the same department would be doing both procedures anyway. It's not like they are going to be diddling around on either end of things for hours - it all goes fast.

Endoscopy - one of my least favorite things in the medical world. Katie Couric might be able to smile her way through one gazing into a TV camera but... no. :glare:
I've had both several times and have never had a problem. But, reading here I think I'm one of the lucky ones. (never at the same time!)

shrugs...I thought I was the only one that played doctor with myself...Um....well, not exactly that, no...[emoji23]:facepalm:
After my heart attack last year I was on a barrage of drugs...1 gave me a bad rash (Effient), and then my 2 docs played pin the tail on the meds. i just took what they gave me! Then I thought, If this were one of my dogs I would have researched the crap out of every mg they were asking me to give them! Funny how that works!
I decided to forget to take the meds...had a false alarm...went back on them...then kinda decided to not refill any of them. Now I quit smoking, feel fine, buuuuuut, I haven't gotten back to have blood work done yet to go see where I'm at. I should be back at the cardio in the next month or so and then I will see the difference vaping has started to make.
Oh, no your definitely not. My doc actually calls me Doctor Matt and really listens when I talk. I have an account at Medscape (WebMD's big brother, check it out).

Good morning, all!

Whew! It took me an hour to catch up. You all were busy, last night! There's this thing called sleep, ya know :). (And nobody tell me that it's highly overrated. I'm not gettin' enough, right now. So if y'all don't need yours, send some my way!)

@Dog Guy, Welcome! I saw you the other night, but I'm pretty sure I forgot to bring a cold beverage over ... I hear you're looking at new shineys! Woot! We love new shineys!

You use both of my favorite clearos: the Innokin i30S and the Aspire Nautilus, although I use the 5ml version of the Nautilus. Do you use the BVC heads with your Nautili? Most people, including some in this thread, find the BVC heads to be significantly better than the BDC heads.

I hope you find the iStick 50 soon, because if you don't, I know for a fact that denizens of this thread are more than capable of pumping up some fascinating alternatives. But, even I can find the iStick 50 at places that have them in stock.

Use coupon code VC10 to get another 10% off here, bringing the price down to $45. iSmoka Eleaf iStick 50 Watt Full Kit

Don't worry, we'll find one for ya! Take two, they're small. (I have no personal experience with the iStick 50.)

Every time my doctor wants to prescribe me something new - I ask him what my alternatives are - he writes them on a sticky for me - I Google them and then he prescribes the one that he feels will work for me and the one that I feel will not make me worse. The first time I asked him to do this he kind of stared at me, but now does it automatically - I call back in to the Nurse and pick up the prescription later.

I also never take the dosages that I am supposed to take - maybe in the beginning, but taper to test to see if it is enough. He knows I do this also - always frowns, but agrees with me that there is not need to take more than is necessary. A lot of times he gives our family some of his free samples - if we only need to take it for a week or two... Saves on my families prescription costs.

Very seriously: Take statin drugs if you must, but do not blindly accept them as benign drugs either.

Ok, I am admittedly a poster child for adverse side effects when it comes to statins. So don't use that as a reason to not try them. However, if you do develop either physiological or even psychological issues you have never had before taking them, research the drug before you discuss it with perhaps a no-so open-minded health care practitioner. The free drug reference database at Mayoclinic.org is quite good and one of a few that drug stores use as a reference as well. (Micromedex)

Sound advice for ALL meds, Rick! Doctors are not gods, no matter that they want us to think they are. Heck, if they know what they were doing, why do they call it a "practice?"

While not having problems with statins, my Doc wanted to switch me to a different BP med, didn't think the one I was on was good enough. Researched it and one "possible" side effect was congestive heart failure. Hmmm, well, I suppose heart failure will lower blood pressure.... I said no, I'm only running a little high on systolic, I don't think it's worth the risk!

The seem to rush all these new "wonder" drugs out the door. I think they're called that because they wonder what else they might cause! (Most of us here remember thalidomide...)

They might but not if they have any integrated circuits in them. The old stuff would stand up to EMP much better, new stuff, no way.!

The curse of miniaturization, Matt. Smaller chips, smaller conductive traces (the "wiring" on circuit boards and inside chips) take less "pulse" to short and fry. Like putting your 120 watt god box at full power on a 34 gauge coil...

I have the i30S, but it sits now. I like the nautilus' much better and have both sizes. I use the BVC and like them well, and I like the new ones with the bigger wicking holes. I haven't had the flooding issues that some are dealing with yet!
Oh, and I had the 50 in my cart at vapordna yesterday...just looked and Out of stock...ceptin' fuscia...I'm not so "pretty on pink":p

I use this 52 oz coffee mug for a very simple reason: the handle broke off of my 64 oz mug and I had to throw it away.

Here is a blog post my nephew in law (is that even a real thing) about the history of Daytona Bike Week in my hometown. Thought I would post a link so you guys could read it. Of course it's from his business Web blog so there might be a few ads (a few?) but, definately don't even feel obligated to even look at them.
