Building coils is womens work. Little fingers are made for such activities. That is what I learned today.

Oooh, bad day huh?

I would like to offer you a cupcake. But, I can't seem to find one. Just a minute. I'll be right back.

OK. Here you go.

Is that better?

You all keep saying the hammer is heavy, not a problem (6' 280 lb former lineman)

Last stinky October 15, 2013

I think it is more that it is far heavier than you would think it is looking at it. Sort of a surprise when you pick it up. Even so my tiny arthritic hands handle it just fine. It is actually pretty comfy to use.

Lol, unless those little fingers have long nails on them, getting that little rubber grommet back into the bottom of a PT head can be quite frustrating...... If anyone has a tip on how to make it easier I'd love to hear it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I have thirty pounds to lose. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Don't expose me to such temptation. Vaping vanilla butternut like a choo choo train.......

The only way I could ever grow long nails is if I sat doing nothing for six months. LOL!! I have an idea, Kim--- trim those nails!!

I got news for you that little grommet is a royal pain no matter what.

Moisten it. Squeeze gently and start one side. Keep holding it with one hand, use the other to push the opposite side in using a blunt instrument, preferably smaller than the candelabra Ms. Scarlet used on Professor Plumb in the library. I use either the back, rounded end of a dental pick, blunt-nose tweezers, or a cut square toothpick.

Some grommets are quite stiff material, and they're the hardest to do.

As myopic as I am, I think I will have to buy a pair of reading glasses for part of my recoiling kit. I did make one attempt yesterday, but that was before I did any research. I am definitely going to wait until I have enough collected to sit down with it for a long stretch.... At a time when I don't have other things to do. I already have some very fine crochet hooks and knitting needles that are handy for jobs like that.

I have been assembling tax papers and planning bill paying and preparing for a class tomorrow night.

Question for those commenting on the weight of the hammer mod clone... I own a Reo Grand which I don't use. The weight in and of itself wasn't the issue but the comfort of using the heavy mod with its hard, rigid corners on the bottom of the Reo. When my fibromyalgia was bad in my hands it was painfully uncomfortable to use. How are the corners of the hammer?

THe hammer has 10 times sharper corners and edges than the REO. It also weighs close to twice as much in 18350.
