Myrany, I think that MBV trie not to use exta sweeteners... Is it closer with or without?

Hmmm I can try it again without. It was missing a certain je ne sais quoi when I tried it the first time. I am still trying to get the total percentage of flavor worked out. These are the first flavor west flavors I have worked with.

Ohhhh! nevermind, I needed to change the atomizer on the IBTanked. I have not done that since I got it. Tried to change it without emptying the tank the way I had read somewhere and, well, let's just say I need some practice at it! But all is good to go now and flavor is back!
Onward, and Upward!!!

Just want to thank everyone for all the tips on rebuilding and other stuff, in the last many pages. :)

Still waiting on my orders and found out today, my sigelei Zmax will be the last thing sent and no eta on it yet. I'm so bummed!:( The most important thing and it's the last to get shipped.

On the high side, son gave me $$ to get more nic base, 500ml on the way for the freezer and 120ml to mix with. Since I make his juice, he doesn't want us to run out, just in case, ya know? Circumstances as uncertain as they are, he wants to make sure we're stockpiled. ;) I think 1000ml is enough in the freezer, it may outlive me! I think our stockpile is done!

Best to all, vape on!

9 1/2 weeks - no not the movie, the wick.

A bit over 2 month's ago I tried my 1st Nextel XC-116 wick, actually ReadyXWick from RBA supplies. It's been dry burn cleaned and a couple times I've taken it out, torched it clean, and put it back in use.

The last couple days it was tasting 'off' so tonight I opened up the R91 and - yuck - couldn't even see the coil for the gunk build up.

Took the wick out and this is what it looked like.

After torching it, it cleaned up really well. But it was getting frayed and ratty on the ends. So instead of putzing to get it back in I just replaced it. 9 1/2 weeks use before replacing it. I'll take that over cotton.

I bought 3ft for $24, so that wick cost me about 67 cents, not bad - IMO. Not as cheap as cotton, but a lot less wick changes with this material.

Well, I done did it, pulled the trigger on a hammer clone, and for good measure got myself a kayfun lite clone to go with it. Dont worry about my wallet, been selling the pieces of an old hobby to pay for my new one. Ebay has been my friend this month.

So now my expected vape mail list is:
1 innoken svd
1 nitecore i2 charger
2 efest imr 18650
2 efest imr 18350
1 hammer clone
1 kayfun light clone
1 250 ml 100 mg nic base
11 assorted flavors

I feel like I've ordered enough for now :D

Looks like you're going to be busy!! Enjoy!!

For you DIYers...

On a lark I picked up some Flavor West Blackberry Mojito flavoring when I placed my last order. All I can say is this stuff is YUMMY. Give it a shot.

Hmmm, I have some mojito from Dessert Vapes and am not all that pleased with it. You've given me an idea. Don't have any blackberry, but I could add some of my yummy blueberry to it! Bet that would work! Stay tuned!

lol experimenting a bit with the right amount of cotton.. pretty decent cloud coverage now ;}

YAY I am so proud of you!

The first time I really got a coil right in a dripper I was vaping away reading the forums when the hubby said. "Honey can ya give it a rest? I can't read my monitor." His desk is being mine. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS

DIY rocks. I tried this mix at the ten day point and thought it was ok, pulled it out at the 15 day point and said HEY! Half RY4 and half Clear Double Chocolate (TFA). Tossed it on my stealth today for testing at work. I think a little sweet or bavarian cream might be in order but it has a great RY4 inhale and unsweetened raw chocolate exhale as-is. Pretty freakin' cool.

Quick question! Do batteries, like 18650 have to charge a few times to get to their 'longevity' in use?

Charged new Panasonic 18650's, they only charged to 3.5V according to my LT, but the lights had turned green, so I figured they were done. One only lasted a couple hrs in the LT set at 3.8 with a 2.2 coil. Why? Am I missing something?

That doesn't sound right. My panasonic (PD version) last all day easily on a 1.2 ohm coil at 4 volts

They were only on the charger for a couple hrs and the lights went green almost immediately. But had read 3.2 on the LT before I charged them. I don't think they were on the charger long enough. Still waiting for my home charger, was using a car charger that was so unselfishly sent to me by a 'sweet person' here on ecf. Hadn't been anywhere to try to use it in 2 weeks cause was laid up with a knee injury. Which is irrelevant, but the reason I hadn't been able to charge the batts.

Still, my guess is that they weren't on the charger long enough for a full charge. If a full charge is 3.7 and they quit working in the LT at 3.2, doesn't seem to be much time in between. These are the new 3400 mAh from Panasonic. I'm hoping one will last the better part of a day.

That's not right. The batt should come off the charger @ about 4.16 volts. Your LT should read it at 4.0-4.1 volts. And it def should last you hours and hours and hours of use. No - they don't have to be charged multiple times when they are new to reach max potential.

What kind of charger are you using?

It's in the truck, an Xsomething, a good charger from what I understand, not a 'fire' anything. I think they just weren't on there long enough, they didn't get a full charge. Was only about 2 hrs or a little less.

I just didn't have any other way to charge them right now, until my Nitecore I4 comes in, so thought I would give it a try.

Sure is handy to have one for the truck though, you never know what might happen, could end up living in it.

Thanks for the replies.

I know the ego says the *first* time charge, even with a green light, should be about 8 hours.

On the other hand, I have the new pana 3400's and they took my SVD from a few hours with a efest 2000 to all day at least.

I use an intellicor and just charged them til the charger said they were done. I believe the nitecores stop charging when they read full. No green light involved. Hence, safer.

Now, I'm still a kinda newbie. But I've read that when a batt is ready for a re-charge, you let it sit for a half hour or so. When you do charge it, again, let it sit for another half hour when it's done.

I am SO hoping one will last all day. I go thru 6 different eGo's a day @1100-1300mAh and it's a PITA. If the eGo would last all day, I'd never have bought mods, I love the eGo for it's size and convenience. But to have any duration, you got to have a bigger, better battery, so off to mods I went. Just got to get the chargers figured out. :)

The batts are 3400 mAh and the charger is in the truck, an Xsomething I can't remember. It's a car charger, not a house charger.

Edit - it's an XTAR charger for the car, charges 2 batts of like 4 sizes. I found the user manual online and I think I know what happened, I didn't do something right I believe. Will have to check it out tomorrow.
