PLEASE explain that! Because once posted if you try to delete it says too few characters! I tried that of course and there seemed no way to delete it. Could be my cognitive issues these days but I could not figure out anything other than just edit it.

It double posted on me so on the second one I put in that line to be humorous. The line was over 10 characters. :)

I may be the only person on the planet that has no desire to get a MVP. I just cannot get past the non replaceable battery thing.

I'm not into a disposable mod but they are not expensive and I have never had one of my 18650 batteries go bad. I guess though with the technology advances it would be a built in excuse to upgrade when battery won't charge anymore.

Hi sushigirl, glad you found the porch! Thanks for the intro, too. Lots of experience here on the porch and they are not stingy with sharing it, so ask any questions you have. Also help you stock up on shiney stuff.....:D

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! I’ve read so many posts I feel like I already know most of you and feel quite comfy here!
I think I’ll take you up on the shopping advice.

I have 2 Ego-T’s and ordered an Ego VV V3 so I can monitor the ohms on my rebuildable coils. I’m looking for an APV/MOD with variable voltage and ohm reading. I’d like to stay in the $70 range (purchasing batteries and charger separate). I’d like to stay on the smaller side, something with changeable batteries. I *think* I’d prefer something telescopic or has different sized tubes, although I really like the matte finish of the SID, just not anything with a shiny mirrored finish. Picky much? I'm leaning towards the Itaste SVD, but the ZMAX V5 and the SID are still in the running. I'm open and would greatly appreciate any suggestions! Oh...and if it makes margaritas...I'd pay extra for that!

BTW…litecigusa.net is having a 10% off sale tomorrow (Thurs). Coupon code: litecig10

Yeah it is a kind of conundrum. But they are a real quality piece. The only thing that beats it for me is my SVD. And I figger once the batts start dying all over the place someone will come up with a hack to replace it. On the other hand, they're all over the place for $39. And since you can charge other things from it (cell phone, ego, etc) and use it while it's charging, it does get more appealing.

I won a MVP2 in a contest and I will have to admit, I have really enjoyed it. It works great with whatever I put on it and the battery life is fantastic. If I see them on sale for under $30 again (I could kick myself for not grabbing one from Completevape) I will get another one. When my dad was out of power, I charged his phone on it and he was impressed. I'm not sure how many times you can charge them. I'll let ya know though cause I keep a list of every battery I charge. I don't know why I do this, I guess I am just curious. Or OCD?

Why is disposable bad? You throw away old batteries? For the cost it is a great mod and i am not going to cry if I drop it or lose it.

Yeah but you usually have a few batteries. One dies you still have a spare or two. This dies... it's dead. And batts "usually" don't give much of a warning. All boils down to convenience IMHO.

I have a SID and it works fine. You can buy different tubes for it but then it makes it more expensive. It has pulse type of modulation and as your battery gets depleted your vape changes (around 3.5-3.4 volts). For a tube type mod it is a pretty good deal.

Best price (if it says Out of Stock just order it and you'll get it in 5-7 days):

Well shoot...Was going to run to the local B&M and pick it up, but I know that they get $60 for one. I like supporting the local guys, but being in the "working poor" category (which really, come on...if you have a roof over your head and food in the fridge, cable and cell phones and all our other "necessities" aren't all that important. BTW we split the internet bill with the family that lives upstairs), I don't know if I can justify that.

Oh and thanks for the link!

Most top end batteries are good for 500 or so charges. So that makes it good for about a year and a half assuming it is charged once a day. At 30-40 bucks you could buy 3-4 top end batteries that will last up to 6 years. So is disposable bad? I guess not unless it is your only unit. One thing is for sure ... all batteries die eventually.

I do get the non replaceable battery thing and the majority of my mods do use replaceable...but when the Petals MVP came in at under $30 I just couldn't control myself:laugh: I do like to keep a couple of EGOs and now the MVP on hand to take out and about in those situations when something might get lost/damaged (on the beach, football tailgates etc) would hate to damage an expensive mod.

I don't think there is anything wrong with them. I haven't owned one. I think they are a good deal they just aren't my cup of tea. I think it's just easier to have a extra battery then a extra mod when the battery runs out if your at the beach.
