Sure you didn't break a coil? Not sure how you could bend a bad a base and create a short. The positive is the center pin and the negative is the threads. Try a new coil. Put it on an ohm reader and see what resistance

I tried several coils, the 510 connection barrel is bent so that the coil sits crooked and the bottom post makes contact with the side of the barrel. I am pretty sure I bent it when I had it on my ego spinner and the lanyard clip came loose and it hit the floor.

WOW, this has been some busy days for an ole retired 'art like me... been researching new trucks and settled on a GMC 1500 Crew cab. Fortunate, I had some good mods and back ups for that journey...anyway, back to vapin'.

Got some Nautilus tanks in yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with them, so far. Still lovin' my ProTanks, the Kayfun Lite + and the Trident V2 dripper. Switching back and forth with each...sure is nice to have accumulated so much 'Stuff' that when we take off for a day don't have to worry about gettin' stuck without some nic relief. :D

The Hammer is doin' the deed! @ Russell...I think you are goin' to like the Hammer. I did have to file/sand the brass connections (as recommended by someone else here...CRS issue on the name). :) Ran into a guy that had a Chi You that he 'roached' by setting it down without locking it and he sold me the top cap for it and that fits on the Hammer and has air control there (in case I may need that )

Off again today to finalize sale on our other truck. Really likin' the new one, too.

Here's a link to the search results for "SID" at madvapes. You'll see both sized tubes with and without the end cap. They also have the end caps separate but you save a bit if you get the tube and cap together.
Search results for: 'SID'
You could even buy a 18500 tube, end cap and easy head and get a 1100 mah eGo type mod with replaceable battery or add the easy head to the full sized SID tube to get a large lightweight 3000 mah eGo type mod.

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! I ordered the SID, 18500 tube with cap, and a couple of eGo type heads. I really like the interchangeable parts. Thanks so much for your help - I really appreciate it!

I really think I'm done with bottom coils! I was doing my paper route (a dream I've had since I was 10  ) and my tank was gurgling. No biggie, just take soft pulls while I'm driving around. Deliver a couple of papers, get back in the car, grab my Zmax and its just covered in juice! No reason that it would leak other than it was getting low, and this is one of my favorite tanks. Not as good as my protank clone, but one I really like. I can get rebuilt Vivi Novas for $5 at the B&M, so I think I'm sticking with those for a while!
If you were going up and down hills, the change in air pressure can cause leakage from bottom coil devices too.:2c:

Easy to test just roll it on a table. Watch the 510 connection for wobble

The 'Burgh, PA.
mixed results.. one fits fine the other one hardly makes contact.. this is with evod 2's but the threading is a bit wonky on some so they dont screw down far enough.

But as always.. a 510 adapter does wonders ;)

The MVP2 is just like the iTaste VV V3...troubles with some heads making contact => "NON" reading. 4 things to try:

1. your idea...510 adapter

2. Pull topper pin DOWN a little (large paper clip, large pin, etc.)

3. Pry MVP2 (or VV3) pin UP a little with small screwdriver

4. Use some sewing thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...thread-contact-clearomizer-mod-batteries.html

FORGOT...The sign up for an account and pick two free samples (5ml.) with FREE shipping promo is still running.

I believe that a while back in this Forum, people were discussing a joose called Tiger's Blood, and that a recipe or two was traded back and forth for DIY purposes.

Believe me (and I'm sure you will once you hear my guess), I do not remember what ingredients were named.

The reason I called y'all here today was to tell you what the very good Lucky 7 Vapes "Tiger's Blood" joose tastes like to me. I used the entirely scientific method of taking a clearo that was already 2/3 full of different joose and topped it off with Tiger's Blood for my exacting analysis.

Tiger's Blood tastes like tangerine rind, clove and a little mint. It is so decreed.

WOOHOO! My Zmax shipped today, just got the notification! I'm so excited!

Since my order was split into 3, seems like I'm waiting on a bunch of vapemail. :) Of course it was ordered a month ago, before I got my income slashed. Oh well. At least I will be set for quite a while.

Now to stalk the mailman for the 1st of the 3, that was in route to NY yesterday....:tumble:

I can't do top coils anymore. Dry hit city. They don't wick well for me. Try rebuilding your vivi yourself save enough $5 bills and you can purchase a good tank like a kayfun or russian.

I'm with you, Wildman. I prefer bottom coils. I have some top ones, but rarely use them anymore.

I'm still having back pain and spasms. I finally got comfortable about 5 am and slept all day. Feeling better at the moment.

Welcome to all newbies. I just can't keep up with this thread right now, but I am glad to know the number of vapers is growing everyday.

My order from FastTech is on its way. When it will get here is anybody's guess. Hope everyone is doing well. :vapor: I am loving Johnson Creek's Ranier right now. When you find a good one, hang on to it, right?

The only time I ever had dry hit problems were with the ego type clearo's. Never had one with an i30. So I prefer top coil. All the bottoms I ever tried were really airy and I don't like airy. So, different strokes for different folks, eh? :)

Now if someone would come out with a glass tank for the i30 I'd be in heaven. :) And no, the i30 x.1 sucks. Very airy. Just like a kanger or other BC's.
