Nice job on the double barrel coil Mike! I did one of those for the KFL, but not sub Ω. I used 30 ga kanthal 14/13 wrap on 1/16th screw driver. It came out to 1.2 Ω, so using it on the vamo and really like it, not too hot @ 9 watts. But, yes a PITA! ;)

I picked up a set of screw drivers at the Family Dollar store for a couple bucks and all the screw drivers had the diameter on the card in the case, so makes them easy to work with for coil forming. 3/32nd's, 5/64th's and 1/16th.

Nice job on the rebuttal amoret...as for the PG in anti-freeze, maybe he should know it's also in cake mixes as well as many other foods and asthma inhalers. BTW, the reason it's in anti-freeze...it's there as a preservative. If Johnson were my Doctor...I'd be on the hunt for someone better informed!

Y'all have a great evening, I gotta go gt my nap...I've been up all day. :D

Gotta love vapemail! I ordered my MVP Wed. night and it came in today...LOVE it! Of course I've been vaping on it all afternoon and don't have hardly any tastebuds left. I did the only thing I knew to do...opened up a bottle of wine! It might not help much, but at least I won't care. I've got plenty to go around if anybody cares to pull up a rocker.

Isn't it strange when you think that we smoked all those years with almost no flavor choices! :blink:

...and when I smoked, it had to be "my" brand...the same old thing all the time.

Remember being some place where smoking wasn't allowed? You would sort of panic and want to get outside 'cause you just had to have a cigarette. I have noticed I don't get that panicy, gotta have it feeling with vaping. hmmm

Ever had that time where you bought 2 tanks to work and neither one was the one you wanted to vape on? Happened to me tonight. My Vivi Nova was giving me fits and my EDV just wasn't tasting right and to tell you the truth I kind of wanted an analog. But not to the point where I was tempted to buy a pack. I just hit the Protank clone and got over it like a big boy who messed up a little.

What do you do when you mess up??

Edit to fix my every day vape abbreviation.

It happens to us sometimes, fortunately not often. I usually have 3 devices with different flavors with me when I go out. You were right to vape through it and distracting yourself might help until you can vape something different. Many people find that having several different flavors that you rotate helps with the sudden dislike of one of them. I always have 2 devices with me and often times several more, but I have a purse to keep them in so that helps. The other day I only had 2 with me when I dropped one and the tank shattered. yep, back ups for the back ups are always a good idea. Isn't it strange when you think that we smoked all those years with almost no flavor choices! :blink:
Yup, I had a purty bad vape day today...my IBTanked ran empty, py minipro tastes burnt, and 2 MT3s started gurgling and leaking everywhere ARGHHH. Got home and took the coil out of my minipro and the dang wicks aren't even getting wet??? changed the coils on the MT3s's and filled my IBTanked. All is right cept for my minipro...anyone know what is wrong with it? By the way been off cigarettes for 1 1/2 years and didn't even cross my mind I may need to get one today. LOL

I got my brief claim to fame today -- my letter to the editor in response to some pro and con (my response being mostly to the con) opinion pieces about vaping that the Grand Forks, ND paper ran last week in honor of the Minnesota legislature wanting to slap restrictions on vaping.
Way to go Amoret! nice letter and right to the point! Someone should take notice!

mini pt might have burnt coil or grommet. Pull the chimney off, take the flavor wick off and look inside.
Did that and wicks look ok, not burnt or anything, just no liquid getting on them, like they are too far down in the base and the liquid is not reaching them

Ok, so I have a question. My hammer is great, but when I put my 18350 imr batteries, which are "button top", and when I screw on the cap, my atty fires, seams the button touches the contact. Guess I should have gotten flat top, who knew?

So I turned the battery around, put it in backwards, works fine, so im thinking, this is a direct circuit, no polarity, no double battery, just current through a resistor coil, so which direction the the power flows shouldn't matter.

So my question is, is this safe? I don't see why it wouldn't be, but then I am new to mechs. If someone knows something I don't, please share.

Interesting. You sure it isn't supposed to be inserted backwards? Not familiar with the hammer but if it's completely mechanical I don't see a problem either. All you're doing is completing a circuit. Doesn't really matter which is positive and which is negative as long as there are no circuit boards involved.

Evening all! So if you recall my "I'm done with bottom coils" post, I guess I lied. Had some time and wanted to try something, so I pulled the clearo apart, took out the sicilia flavor wick and put in some cotton I stole from the wife's makeup case. Filled it about half way with some RY4 that I got in the discount bin at the local vape store that I really just didn't like. Got things primed and vapor rolling and suddenly...THIS STUFF IS GREAT!

Can't believe a little cotton made that big of a difference. Really I was just trying to get the clearo to stop leaking. I have some coils coming back from a guy that he is using cotton for the whole build and honestly I can't wait to try them out. Think the Mrs will be the most shocked with the outcome!

Yes, the hammer is designed for flat top batteries. And what you did is the usual workaround that people use. No harm done since it's a mechanical mod. As others have said, the coil doesn't care.

Just a heads up FWIW...

FastTech order.

Ordered Feb 16.
Shipped March 1st. Tracking # received.

So far... nothing. Tracking shows in transit.

Response from Fasttech today...
```````````````````````````````````````
We understand the tracking has not been updated for a while and there might be some problem with the order. Sadly we have no means to know where exactly the package is except by filing complaint case toward the post office to institute investigation and waiting for their definite feedback within TWO MONTHS.
````````````````````````````````````````

Looks like I'll be ordering from other places for a while. Or just saving money and ordering nothing!!!

Just a couple batts and some coil heads so it's not that much of a biggie.
