It's tempting. I still like egos but I really don't care for the recessed button. Probably sounds snobbish but with calloused hands I really have trouble finding the button sometimes. Provari has a nice big honking button. :)

That comes in handy while riding my Motorcycle. I just haven't figured out how to one hand a mech mod. I do have a flush button mech but I don't trust it unlocked in my pocket.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust it either. You're smart for living in Medford. Just kidding about the Medford part. :)

It's actually Central Point But close enough I guess.
Why are you guys busting my chops???

Double posts happen, it's beyond our control, don't worry about it.

I grew up in Eugene. We always poked fun--in good humor--at people from Medford. I think it's because you guys got way more sun than we did. It is absolutely nothing personal.

Your dog is gorgeous!

Indy is a looker!

Ok, Thanks for the clarification. No Big Deal!
I do like the fact that we don't need a boat to get around down here most of the time! We have our moments though.

You said a mouthful there! The first year I moved here, it rained 28 days in January. At least it wasn't blizzards, which is why I finally moved away from Boston.

Peoples, this is the FRONT porch. We need to stay on-topic with vaping, or we will end up having two (+) threads in the lounge.

I have two Vamos, and am soon to get my third. I have plenty of backup to my primary, which profited mightily from a few days sitting in a drawer to dry out. Now my backup Egos are ready to go to my neighbor but he doesn't have the money right nos to buy them. Hmmmnnn. I think I will just relax, and put the package together for when he can give me the $$$. I think I will leave the new Vamo in the box, waiting for when I really need it.

Make sure the Vamo works properly before putting it away. I didn't try out a cheapo battery once for several months. It was a dud. My bad.

And starting simple is a good plan. Get comfortable with one build before branching to others. If you don't, you're likely to be chasing the perfect build when with a bit of practice the style you're using might have been it!

Now that's good advice when beginning DIY coils/wicks. Once you get the number of winds right for the your target ohms - then do a bit of experimentation w/ how much wick to put through the coil to get good juice flow but not choke it off.

This is my first post on this thread. Im 56 and have been vaping for about 1 1/2 years. I am currently vaping Kayfun lite+, KFL v2 and 3 Russian91% topping both mech mods and Provari. I run the same builds on all of them with great results. I also build my wife's KF mini's this way, she uses Evod type batteries. Both standard and spinners.

28g wire, 7 wraps around a 2mm screw driver wicked with organic cotton. Yes I have tried a lot of different builds and wicking materials, including rayon cotton (to much flavor loss for me). this gives me about a 1.3ohm coil that works great at 3.7v. It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done in spades. It's safe, durable and delivers good vapor and flavor. I rebuild them about once a month and dry burn and re wick about once a week or when ever they seem to need it.

No worries. I dry mine off as best I can with a paper towel then blow the water out of the bottom connection and build, wick, fill and vape. Just blow on them to clear as much water out of them as you can and you should be good to go!!

Welcome to the porch mek, you seem to have it nailed down pretty good re: rebuilding. Say, I only have a bunch of R91's. What do you think of the Russian compared to the KFL's?
