Bacon and pizza flavors are available. He sounds cute!!

Oh my, just snorted water out my nose.

90 pound lapdog, just what I need. He's a 4-year-old black German Shepherd. All looks, no brains.

I did buy TFA bacon a year ago to use in case the dog got dehydrated and wouldn't drink. I'll have to dig it out and see how it's "mellowed" over time.

I did some Patina's on a couple clones and one original. Not a lot of people into that either.
I thought your patinas looked fantastic! I would definitely be doing those if I hadn't gone for the all stainless steel brushed look. Did you use salt and ammonia for those?

I was tempted by that, but I read a review (Little Girl's blog) and she said it didn't have much of a taste. So, let us know if you try it again!

Yeah, one was a Spanish moss, ammonia and salt. You could always do a alcohol ink finish with the stainless. I had picked up a Nemesis clone from fastech and a stingray clone off eBay and decided, what the heck, give it a try. Then my copper original Celtic was turning pink soooo, patina. That was the Spanish moss unit.

We went kayaking on Thursday on a lovely lake. When we docked I stood up to get out of the kayak and dropped my Sigieli with an Aspire topper. Of course it rolled under the seat where there was a good sized puddle. Should have seen me scrambling to get that seat moved to reach it. I guess it was in the puddle for maybe 15-20 seconds. Thought I killed it, but it just turned itself off, or I turned it off in my panic. Whew! It's working fine. I've given it an award for snorkeling.

Very glad it survived. :) Perhaps it has a lifejacket in its future for Christmas?

I was tempted by that, but I read a review (Little Girl's blog) and she said it didn't have much of a taste. So, let us know if you try it again!

If the dog won't touch it, I won't either.

Forgive my ignorance but are the patinas the three on the hardwood?

Hello everyone. Are young 'uns welcome here?

Everybody is welcome, and your dog(s) as well.

Did I miss the pictures???? Huh?

For those that don't know, these are forced patina on mech mods. Copper and brass. What you do is suspend them over a ammonia and salt bath and " force" them to corrode till you like the color they are. Wash them off, dry and clear coat. You now have a one of a kind patina mod. There is more to it but not much. I am more that willing to answer any questions! Or explain further! image.jpg image.jpg

Well, I modded my KFL+V2 and am pretty happy with the results. I deepened the juice channels ever more, drilled out the side air hole, and cleaned up the vertical air hole in the center pin to a smooth 1/16th" (it was already 1/16th, but was snug and now it's maybe a few thousandths bigger). I'm getting noticeably better air and juice flow now, and I can take nice comfortable lung hits without running out of juice (using a dual coil build with rayon wicking at 1.5 Ohm). I don't have to always worry about "will the next hit be a dry hit," and I don't have to struggle against the overly tight draw. I've been tinkering with it since I got it, and now I'm finally satisfied! Best of all, when I draw on it, I get a nice "whoosh" instead of a whistle.

hmmm? So you enlarged the side air hole - but it's the air adjustment screw the limiting factor for overall airflow. I just got an EHPro Nano KFL, I really like it for a topper on a mini-Prothingy. But even with the air adjustment wide open, it's still a tighter draw than my R91's.

You seem to be all about over kill. 2mm 7 wrap 28g single coil is all I need to get what I want out of a KFL+

We if a like mind for builds. My go-to for my R91's is 2mm, 6 wrap of 28g. For the heck of it I just did a 1.5mm, 8 wrap of 28g. Ohms comes out basically the same, but I'll give the edge to the 2mm 6 wrap.

Hi tex - welcome to the front porch. No age checks done here. Grab a rocker and make yourself at home. We also have a back porch in the lounge for socializing as the mods like us to stay on topic about vaping on the front porch.

But she was so chatty she never mentioned the maker/vendor for the mod or the atty. Super-T came out w/ a dripper that 'swirled' the air instead of the conventional side hole in the cap. It's got it's die-hard fans but didn't really take off as a popular feature. Took some unique builds to make it work well as I remember.

I am having a hard time finding a flavor I like. Tried 6 today but none of them were that good. Guess it takes a while and a lot of testing to find some you can vape all day.

Well...for me...until I find my "ADV"...99¢/15ml. and $1.99/15ml. seems to be the way to go...

Killer Juice

I was getting frustrated for a few days there when all of my new coils were tasting burnt, but I upped the Ohms and got happy again. I miss the big clouds of vapor a little bit, but I'd rather have juice that tastes good.

Are you using the Aspire BVC's ? (Either in a Nautilus...or they now make them for the older Aspire BDC tanks.)

With them...I actually have to lower the Watts to get a "socially acceptable" level of vapor when out in public.

I stepped out of shinyitis before I got that far. LOL. There has to be a slowing-down point somewhere. :2c::2c: :2c::2c::2c::2c: :2c::2c::2c::2c::2c::2c: :2c::2c::2c::2c::2c::2c: :2c::2c::2c::2c::2c::2c: :2c::2c::2c::2c::2c::2c: :2c::2c:..........................

Well...I "slowed down" with my eGo-C's...and loved them. Then I got an MVP2...and WOW!!!

And...I "slowed down with my Kanger T3S's...and loved them. Then I got a Nautilus Mini with BVC coils...and WOW!!!

Yeah, if you shrink the diameter of the coil, you cant get enough cotton in it to feed enough juice to the coil and, eventually, you'll burn the cotton. less flavor, wick will need changing sooner and dry hits!
just my experience!

I already had the air adjustment screw all the way backed off, and it was still a very tight draw. This is the Infinite KFL+ V2 by the way, which has the air adjustment set screw on the bottom, not the KFL+ which has the air adjusment screw on the side. The full air path goes from the side air hole, which was less than 1/16th (maybe 3/64ths or there abouts), across the air adjustment screw, into the central shaft, through the air hole on the side of the center pin, and up vertically through the center pin (which was right around 1/16th). I increased the diameter of the side airhole all the way through to the central shaft to about 5/64ths, and smoothed out the vertical air channel in the center pin to a smidge over 1/16th. So, at the tightest point, I increased the air diameter from around 3/64th to a little over 1/16th. This might not sound like much, but air flow is related to the square of the diameter, so I got a net increase in air flow of around 78%. (1/16)^2/(3/64)^2 is 1.777... So, even though it's a minor mod, it almost doubled the airflow.

Wait, huh? Papa mine has 2 air holes on the side. In fact I had to tighten the air screws on the bottom down some cause it was too airy for me. I haven't had any dry hits (yet) and I just refilled it for the 3rd time. Seems to be working great (but what do I know)
Hi Tracy,

Your clone has two airholes but mine only has one (you have the EHPro, I think, and I have the Inifinite). You bought wisely :) On the other hand, mine came with the nano kit and was a little cheaper, so I'm happy after putting in a little "sweat equity."

Who are you talking to? Do you know English?
If I concentrate, more than I want to I can follow you but why would I bother?
Break it down a little for us layman!
I drilled out the air hole to ---- and drilled out the center shaft to ----- now it works better!
