My first BVC in my 5.0ml Nautilus lasted through approximately 55ml of juice. I could have changed it out a little sooner, like maybe after 45ml of juice, when the flavor of the juice started to be a little less. The coil didn't burn out, but it became harder to draw on, and as I said, the juice flavor started to fade.

I'm pretty lazy (never rolled my own [tobacco] cigarettes...and have little interest in "rebuilding").

But I've found that with my BVC's if I throw one in a cup of boiling water and let it sit (until I remember it) (when the water's cooled down) I'll see 5-10 specks/dots of black "stuff" floating around in the water.

Then I'll remove it from the water...run it under a stream of hot water for a minute or two...blow it dry (with my breath)...and replace it.

This seems to "revive" it's airy draw and the flavor returns.

(Can't hurt to try it.)

Thank you Myrany! :) That sounds like a good length, Davide's need a long tip. I can't find NJoy around here, no surprise, but will go a hunting in Portland. I'd like to try it for the heck of it and if I get a bottle with a long tip in it so much the better. Love needle tips, except in the pocket.
Walgreens here carrys the liquid and the kit if that helps.

Thank you but the nearest Walgreens is an hour away. I'm kinda curious about the juice after your observations. Mostly interested as something to point noobs to that could go and physically look at without the sales person talking them into buying a mech mod.

OMG, I just noticed you quit the same day/year I did. Strange. I only missed my quit date by 2 1/2 months.

I noticed the mech mod push myself. Thought it was something only in thsy store. I think the profit on mechs is higher actually. After all how much can a hollow tube cost? Before all the mech fans get excited, I know there are some intricately machined high dollar mechs but what their pushing in most vape shops are clones. Just take a look at Fastech for a glimpse at wholesale pricing, they have to be close.

I should also add that the prices my local vape shop charges are reasonable and it does get them off the stinkies. Just noticed they were pushing mechs with drippers which may not be the best thing for noobs.

oops!, :homy: well true they won't take them back so you might as well try them, nothing to lose. When I got the tanks I checked all of them to see if they were authentic, I didn't think about checking the coils until I read that post over at Nickoticket. Maybe 101 got had by a supplier, who knows cause they seem like a good company. I was hesitant at first to say anything cause I wasn't sure about the rules on such info. BUT SunVapes has been great too and the best price I have seen at the moment.

I have been distracted since I got the Kayfun, Nautilus' are not seeing much action. Ordered another one. :2cool:

Yup, the KF will do that.... I've wound up with 5

It's surprising how many folks are sold mechs by their local shops. They pop up in the new member's section rather regularly. It's pretty sad.

I only have 2 of the Kayfuns both clones but I find I do not use them a whole lot. I have really gotten hooked on RDAs and dripping. So I have them safely tucked away for the pending vapocalypse.

My reasoning behind acquiring several Mechs really is proofing myself against future legislation. There is precious little to break on a mech that I couldn't with some likelihood fix myself. Same with the drippers. I do agree though it is not a good place for newbies to start. At least newbies without a solid experience local support system.

So, how good is the Nautilus? For my upcoming vapeversary I was going to get just a nail polish rack for the juices that are getting pretty croded on my original organizer -- trying to find one that will fit on the side of my end table and maybe another Nature series VV v3 and maybe a couple more mini protank 2s -- and I am really happy with my Davides and Mini Protanks, but everyone sounds so enthusiastic about the bvc coils.

I'm never going to make my own coils, so I'm not looking for a Kayfun or anything. And as I said, I'm pretty happy with my bccs, but everyone is being so enthusiastic about the Nautilus. Now if I do end up with one trying to jump into my shopping cart, how easy or difficult is filling them? I've never gotten a mini Davide because of the filling difficulty.

So, I'm actually planning ahead and asking for help spending my money :danger: and any other ideas would also be appreciated.

You may not be a prepper now, but you will be!

Sweetie I have been prepping since a week after I started vaping :)

I have quite the collection tucked away for the future. Mostly Mechs and drippers though.

Me too! The only thing I don't know how to prep for is juice. I figure there going to pull the plug on nic juice before to long.
How long will juice keep? Can you freeze it or something to give it a longer shelf life?
I usually order 100 mil of deadly sin from Good Life Vaper, my all day vape, once a month. And what ever I decide to vape on the side. It would be nice to have a better stash!
