Well I finally finished my box mod. I should have taken pictures of the build but, like lots of things I got involved in the build and totally forgot. Sorry guys. I'll do better next time I promise. :) Anyways I finished it. SX350 board that goes to 60 watts. Two Sony VCT4 batteries in parallel give me around 4200 mah. Pretty much lasts the whole day and then some. Yesterday was the first day of full use and it went from 4.2 volts in the morning to 3.65 volts when I put it on charge at bedtime. Not bad! :) Here is a pic of the final project. Mike thanks for letting me pick your brains.

Nice going Matt! :toast: Was the box part of the kit? Didn't you mention you got all the components as a kit to build?

So, I need to put my nic in glass before it goes in the freezer or I need to drink more Vodka?
I would say yes, but vodka isn't a favorite of mine

That's a fine job you did there, Matt! Do you adjust wattage with the slot-head screw or are there controls that aren't visible in the picture?

It has a built in gravity sensor. You just tilt it to the left or right to adjust all the menus setting. PBusardo has a review of an earlier version of the SX350 board that tells all about it. Kinda cool. The two greenish holes are where up and down switches would go if needed. I left them open to act as battery vents. The little slot near the bottom is the micro USB port to charge it or upload firmware upgrades.

No the box came from Amazon and the front half with the holes came from Shapeways. 3D printed. Kinda cool and the boards and switches fit right in. Held all the parts in place with gel superglue. They seem to be held in place really well.

Why is it that only ex-smokers and some current smokers can see through BT’s and BP’s bs but not politicians and the general public? I just wanted to quit smoking, not become a political activist. Knowing what I do now it makes me nauseous how much money I gave them, though I tried with all my heart and soul to quit and couldn’t until I used vaping. Out and about yesterday and saw a lot of people smoking. I feel so badly for them. Hoping that seeing someone vape plants that seed.

It's because we know that they're the same b*ds that got us hooked in the first place, lied to us for years about how harmful cigarettes were, then turned around and lied to us again about "light" cigarettes. Meanwhile, they've been buying politicians literally for decades. So, we know first hand exactly what they're capable of (anything. Anything at all).

Edit: I don't blame them for getting me hooked, I blame myself. But the rest of it, that's just evil on their part.

Matt - I want to know how you did it. Are there instructions? A kit? What was the total cost, if you don't mind sharing? It looks great!

No instructions, all in my head. I will try to put something together and post it in the next couple of days. I normally do most of my posting from my cell phone and I am going to have to throw momma off the computer for this one. I even do the photo editing on my phone. Total cost was around $200. The SX350 kit was $75 and the box was about $10, however the custom 3D printed front cover ran around $50 bucks, miscellaneous parts made up the rest. I couldn't have crammed everything (especially the 2 batteries) in it without the custom front. I used a high end switch and floating pin 510 connector as well. My main fail point in my other devices has been the fire button so I hope I got a good one. The two VTC4 batteries in parallel almost guarantee an all day vape without having to recharge and it charges overnight when I go to bed.
The SX350 board and 510 connector came from A to Z Vaping if anyone wants to go look at it.

Matt, nice job! Very nice. And you're so good to post the info for others.

0mg, you're writing a book? Are we talking non-fiction here? Just wondering if it'll be over my head.

Willie, great info on the sangria. I thought I needed a recipe once to make it for the first time. Spent a fortune on the fruit they called for. Turns out I could've/should/ve bought the fruit in season and spent a lot less and enjoyed it just as much.

Geeze, we have some really smart people on this porch!

Hellava deal for all you Kanger ProTank fans HERE with free $hipping! Dat's $.72 per head...

Unfortunately, I can't get the drop down menus on their site to work. I was going to order the coils (and a couple of other things that wanted to jump into the shopping cart) but couldn't. Tried it in IE and Firefox, but no go. I did send them an email and will see how they respond.

Da DD menus don't work when they're outta stock. Hopefully they'll respond to your ya and let ya know when they'll have another shipment.

Please let da porch know if they do respond!

As I mentioned earlier, they will be re-stocked on Monday. Spoke to Allan via chat and he told me a large supply will be available then. :)

Spent an educational day, yesterday making some coils. This is fun. My other EHPro Kayfun showed up and I had the 2 dripper types sitting there. So I am enjoying it, I suppose that's wrong but, hey, it's a challenge. I am happy my eyes can see it even without the magnifying stuff (it's better with of course) but not mandatory in a pinch and my hands work :D that's a plus. So I am trying to keep the Kayfuns around 1.8Ω, I have one at 1.9 and one at 1.79 I got experimental and decided I would try the IGO L and did a 12 wrap, 28 ga on a 1/16 drill bit and it was at 1.5. I am trying to keep them around the pre made coil resistance I am used to. I got it together fine etc but I forgot the part about making sure the air hole was in front of the coil. I had to stare at it awhile before that sank in. :face palm: but then ohhh very nice. I had some Nickoticket Rainer Cherry to try. I am thinking dripping might be ok if you are in one spot but, I am usually not sitting in one spot long. You'll have to take my word for it since I don't have one of those photo accounts.

I may rehome a couple of Nautilus' etc.

Anybody use Tapatalk? I downloaded it but I haven't looked into it yet. Can you post pictures straight from your phone and do you like it? I finally had to order a bigger phone and wanted an opinion on this app. Anybody?

Sounds like you're well on your way! :toast:

I always suggest sticking to one coil style until you're really comfy with it, before branching out. That way you know what you're doing, and what the changes do. And it sounds like you're almost there - with your target of 1.8, getting a 1.9 and a 1.79...

I occasionally use Tapatalk on an iPad. It works OK and you can post pictures using it. I still prefer accessing ECF from the iPads browser though, because it's easier for me to keep track of my subscribed threads.

I use tapatalk almost exclusively. But I have been running up against it's limitations lately. Will have to check out the browser interface.

The main reason I went back to the full blown ECF from a browser, is that tapatalk listed my subscribed threads w/ the 'last updated' time. It didn't mark my subscribed threads as having a 'new post' since 'last visit'.

The minor reason, was it doesn't give the function to insert emoticons when creating a post.
