If I am going to leave the house, I take a look at my battery level. If it is below 50%, I put a fresh one in. If I notice that my vape is getting a bit thin, that is one of the first things I check. Waiting until it says "low v" may not always be convenient.

Yea, there ain't nothing worse than leaving the house and getting about a mile away when the battery light flashes and did you remember to bring a spare???

If you're getting 4 days off a charge, and you have 2 sets of batteries, assuming 500 charging cycles, that's 4000 total days. Should be good for around 11 years. I think as the batteries wear, they'll start to not last for the full 4 days though, so you probably really only have about 5 or 6 years of expected lifetime.

I have a few batteries that are about 2 years old - they used to last me almost 2 full days of vapng - now they last a strong 1.5 and I know I vape less so they have lost some capacity. I fully charge them, but do not always fully discharge them - I usually go ahead and rotate them when the vape is getting weaker, but sometimes do get hit with the warning light...

Older battery technologies had "memory", so it was important to fully charge & discharge (otherwise they wouldn't).
Li Ion batteries do not have memory, so it make no difference. BUT, you NEVER want to over discharge a Li Ion battery. So you are better off swapping them out at 3.5v than you would be to allow them to go below 2.9v.

With +/- 400 charge cycles, you will probably replace batteries because you are sick of looking at the darn things before they actually need replacing anyway.

Or just want some new ones that have a higher rating :)

I tend to swap 'em out when they get around 3.4 - 3.6 on my regulated tubes. Or sooner if I'm heading out for the day.

And Wolf, if that new mod of yours puts them in series for higher voltage, you don't double the current, just the voltage.

I'll put a fresh charge in my changeable devices before I leave the house just to make sure it doesn't run out. My present vape has two 18650 in parallel and lasts all day and then some. I can change them but have take it apart first. The one I am building will have two 18650 permanently installed.

When this sigelei mod gets here taking two batteries - I was going to use two batteries in it then when it says they need recharging or stops firing what ever it does go and charge those batteries and put two other ones in.
Keep the batteries in pairs.

Make sure you do. It's the best practice.

See with me computer here I was or used to think well I'll drain the battery right down so that each time i charge it there is new energy being put into the battery instead of some energy always staying in there - Well sort of makes sense to me albeit may have no factual basis.

Debate on whether or not to use computer phone batteries until empty or recharge before empty still continues in some forums.
My phone from two years ago I always ran flat and it was ok with battery and brother runs the iPad until flat and its great with battery life.

This new phone i take to 2% most times just to see how it goes and so far after three months the battery is very good.

Cell phones protect their batteries as well. The battery Guage reads 0% and cuts of long before damage should occur. Just like a regulated mod. They have to do it that way to avoid warranty claims.

Curses... just broke my 100ml Bomex graduated cylinder! It was one of a 10/50/100ml set. Dropped da 50 a while ago. But dis evening I was mixing up sum 15mg base and I must have put too much side pressure while filling... triangular crack down to da 70ml graduation. Gotta say dat it was over three years old, but still...

I'm gonna blame it on BB and da meteorological thermal shock he left behind down here!

What? Oh, it was a cylinder chilling 52°F at da time of da catastrophe!!!

Well, guess I'll utilize an ol' 120ml bottle with a lil' tape and use da 10ml cylinder to 'calibrate'.

Where there's a will, there's a relative way!

I just mix straight up in the 30ml and 60 ml bottles I have - stopped using my measuring flasks about a year ago... Gotta few syringes to measure the important parts and just pour the rest. I did the calculations and I cannot mix more and 1/2 mg off from one bottle to the next - so I adopted this procedure to speed up the process...

You could get one of these 100ml glass cylinders from China for $7.05. The 120ml bottle method is fine, but I like cylinders because they're easy to pour into. I guess you probably use a funnel anyway.

My brother's recipe for the only flavor he ever makes (Tobacco Blend):

Ratio: 1:1:3 100mg/ml nic in Pg : VG : PG

He makes his in 2 ltr bottles and measures in 120 ml bottles, so:
3:3:9, then add 3% or so flavoring and shake a couple of times a week for a month
and Done!

He measures everything in 120 ml bottles except for the flavoring. And, even for that he just dumps in a couple of full 30 ml bottles of flavoring. No syringes. No graduated cylinders.

I'm not willing to use plastic soda bottles. So, no way will I make that much at a time. I guess I'm stuck with my graduated cylinders.

Clearly, your brother is a man who knows what he likes. Good for him!

So, I just turned my kayfun into a dripper by removing the evaporation chamber and chimney, putting on the nano tank, and removing the O-ring from the top cap. Just built it as usual, but with extra long wicks to wrap around the bottom. Works well! I did that because I never use it any more, and because it's an easy way to change flavors quickly for trying different recipes.

I think i read somewhere that the batteries are in series.

Think the blackberry juice mystery is solved, I just can’t prove it.

When there is just a little bit left at the bottom of a 8ml vial, I dump it into a vial that has a tad left. The needle doesn’t go all the way to the bottom so there is always a ml or two you can’t get out. I either dumped some of my old key lime into the blackberry flavoring or accidentally used some of the key lime vial and filled the rest of the way up with the new 4oz bottle of blackberry. That would account for the mild blackberry with a bitter/tart undertone. Ick.

Trying to be a trooper, I vaped on with the bad juice but that night and the next day started getting a tight chest feeling. Had to quit using my beloved key lime juice because of identical symptoms. So, duh, nothing wrong with the 4oz. TFA flavor, all user error once again.

Sharp looking mod, Wolf! Now you are getting around to charging the batteries?

Well some in the past arrived with a charge but then i read make sure batteries are fully charged before using so put them in the charger.

I was more into waiting to get it than thinking ahead.
