OMG!! (No, not you, 0mg ;) )

This part especially noteworthy:

“This study demonstrates exactly why e-cigarettes and vapor products have become so popular among smokers looking to quit. For smokers looking to quit, vaping is undeniably a viable option. Additionally, research continues to show that vaping is especially helpful for smokers who have tried and failed to quit multiple times with government-approved methods like the nicotine patch, gum, and lozenge. Genuine public health advocates should cheer this new study.

“We remain very concerned that the public health benefits of vaping could be squashed by improper and excessive FDA regulation. If approved, the FDA’s proposed deeming regulation would act as a de facto ban on over 99% of e-cigarette products currently available on the market. Dramatically decreasing product variety will hinder, not help, the FDA’s goal of reducing tobacco-related disease and death.

We continue to call on House and Senate leadership to introduce a bill in 2015 that would substantially alter the FDA’s authority over e-cigarette products already on the market.

Yes!!! It's about time!

It is excellent news, but no one will listen. This was the sensational (and very tragic) story a couple of days ago. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...s-after-drinking-liquid-nicotine-9924229.html From the article:

Reported incidents of exposure to liquid nicotine have risen in the US from 271 in 2011 to 3,638 this year to 30 November. In a statement released on Friday, the American Association of Poison Control centers expressed concern that there are “currently no standards set in place that require child-proof packaging”.

But no one pays attention to this Laundry detergent pods are 'real risk' to poison kids - CNN.com And from this:

In the period of about a year, 17,230 children under the age of 6 have been accidentally poisoned by the packets, according to a new study in the journal Pediatrics. That's about one child every hour between March 2012 and April 2013. Of those cases, 4.4% of the children were hospitalized, and 7.5% experienced a "moderate or major medical outcome."

Yet today we’re back to the same old …. E-Cigs Appeal to Teens Who Otherwise Wouldn't Smoke, Study Says No mention if they are even using nic or not.

Anybody seen politicians, or anyone else, up in arms about laundry soap?

Should I break the links?

E-Cigs Appeal to Teens Who Otherwise Wouldn't Smoke, Study Says

This is the part I find increasingly irritating:

Time.com said:
The agency admits there’s a lot that consumers don’t know about e-cigs, like if they lead young people to smoke other tobacco products or how much nicotine is actually inhaled in each use.

This is disingenuous. If they really wanted to know, they could find out. There have been studies, and they could even spend some of their own money to do more. I think they WANT people to think that we don't know the answer, because that supports their legislative agenda better than the actual facts do.

Drives me nuts that they (any news source) rarely challenges that latest, greatest report. I might actually buy a newspaper if one of them had the guts to stand up and challenge agenda-driven studies.

Teens who otherwise wouldn't smoke. GRRRR! IF they'd get off their uh... buns and research it and it shows there is no problem... what does it matter if they use it?

OK I couldn't wait. They held my package at the post office so I could pick it up. I have the glass tank in but I haven't washed it. Don't know if I want to.
Congrats! I would at least rinse it out under hot water. They come pretty clean but........... I'll admit, I didn't wash mine first but did when I had to do the first rewick! I didn't taste anything but it should be rinsed out just in case!

It also just happens periodically with USPS tracking. There is nothing in itself to worry about. And yes, it's very frustrating.
They are doing an investigation on the main Houston USPS depot here. Packages get there & sit for days. I had vapemail sit there for 4 days last month. I always sign up for text alerts for any tracking #'s I get. I was getting 3-4 messages a day, telling me that it had either arrived or was leaving that depot. So it was in someones hands being scanned in & then out again, several times a day for 4 days before it actually made it onto a truck to head south. Depending on what time of day it gets there it can go out again & get here there same day, or may not go out till the next day. Then it gets here, & again, may not hit my box until the morning after.
