When I refill, the bottom simply turns endlessly without becoming tight. This problem did not come on suddenly, it's just gotten worse over time, to the point that the nautilus leaks and the bottom is near impossible to remove.

Is it the silicone seal at the bottom?

Sorry, that was regarding Bigbells nautilus issue.

The top of the base has a silicone seal that seals the glass tank with the base. Note that the coil head has exposed threads that screw up into the tank 'chimney'.

There have been a couple of occasions where I had to apply a lil' pressure in order to start the head's threads. Just don't 'mule' too hard.

-Try a new uninstalled head (without base) and see if your 'chimney' threads are in good condition.
-Always install the head into the base 'goodentight' <fav German word>.
-Your tank should loosen before the head-to-base connection. IOW, your head should not come out of the base when removing the tank.

BTW, I've never had a Nautilus leak, ever.

Hope I made sense above. If not, ask away!

I've had the heads stay behind when I remove the base. But only after 6 or 7 refills. Probably comming unscrewed from the base a little everytime I refill. Now I make sure it's tight again everytime. And do not over tighten the base, just enough is good, no cranking down on it. It will ruin that silicone seal. Which can be replaced, btw. Aspire sells parts for these.

Thanks everyone for the glass syringe recommendations! I ended up going with Holimakaru's suggestion, and found some great deals on eBay. I ended up with 5x2ml, 5x5ml, and 3x10ml glass syringes for $21.04 including shipping, which is really much less than I had been expecting to pay. So hurray!

On the subject of drippers and glass bottles - I personally use syringes with 18ga needles to fill my Kayfun, and never get a mess. I've tried droppers and squeeze bottles, and I always get juice backing up. Whenever I watch youtube videos and someone is filling a Kayfun with a dropper or squeeze bottle, they always seem to get juice everywhere as well, so I don't think it's just me.

I too use a syringe with a blunt tip needle. Never made a mess and helps me keep track of how much I'm vaping.

Sent while presently sitting on my .... watching mind numbing prattle on the TV. 257 Channels and nothing on.

Thank you, friends, for your help with my Nautilus problem.

Here is the crux of the issue: the center tube turns before the seal is tight. I suspect that the center tube is not supposed to be able to turn independently of the top cap, but it does on my Nautilus. Subconsciously, I knew this was true, but only a careful examination enabled this rather crucial (I suspect) fact to make its way to the communicating part of my brain.

Don't think so. You can get a replacement top peice, tho, & not be out the cost of a whole new unit. Look at the Aspire site. They have the parts there. I replaced the top & pyrex tanks on my Nautilus', & Mini's with the pretty steel gridded pyrex replacement tanks. So I no longer have a top or full glass tanks to break. Alll you need to get is that top & cone section.

On the Aspire website, I'm able to find the top piece for the Nautilus Mini but not the top piece for the full-sized Nautilus.

I.d post a link, but no idea how to fo it. It.s under Aspire Accessories> clearomizer accessories> Aspire Nautilus Accessories. You'll see a picture of the silicone bottom seal. Click there & when the pahe opens you'll see a Please Choose drop down box. Click it, scroll down. It's the last item. I'd get seals & o rings, too they're really cheap!

Thank you very much! The top hardware is EXTRAORDINARILY well-hidden on the Aspire website and I would never have found it without the help.

Even though the shipping is more than twice the cost of the top, I was able to get a top and a silicone seal for $11.32, shipping included.

To display a link, go to the page of the link you want to display. and right-click inside the address window. Select "copy" from the drop-down menu. Then left-click inside your Forum post where you want the link to appear, right-click again, and select "paste". The link will be highlighted when you send your post. This will work even if you close the window of the link you're displaying after you "copy" the address.

Here's the link: Aspire Nautilus accessories

With my Nautilus out of commission for the time being, I'm stove-piping an Innokin i30s and enjoying it very much. I don't have to stove-pipe it but I'm preferring to do so.

Also, in the process of diagnosing my Nautilus, I managed to lose the 510 connection post on the floor somewhere here within a few feet of me. (I pushed it out from the inside, using a small screwdriver). I'm assuming that I'll find it, and also assuming that I'll figure out how to re-install it in the Nautilus, which is what I was trying to do when it jumped to the floor.

Thanks BB! I thought I'd have to find a tab or page here to do it!
I only know about it because I really like their products, & I explored the daylights out of their site before I bought anything. I have a great resource for MVP'S both sizes of bvc coils, all authentic. Puff-U. MVP'S starting at 36.99, coils are 12.99. Good prices on both Nautilus sizes. They are great on hardware, not crazy about their juices, tho.

No chance of me ever buying another MVP. I've mentioned my affection for the MVP's power button almost as many times as Iffy has mentioned his affection for dry hits. I despise that misplaced, too small, too recessed, too hard to press power button. My fairly huge hands bear primary responsibility for those negative assessments.

Here is the crux of the issue: the center tube turns before the seal is tight.

Pardon me fer askin' 'bout what ya may have already attempted, but have ya tried 'tightening' da tank by using da knurled top of da tank? Using da glass tank itself has 'slipped' on me. Actually, now dat I think 'bout it, be sure that da tank top/drip tip holder is TIGHT prior to reassembly!

BTW, fer anyone using and/or trying da Nautilus, only use da cross-hatched grip points fer base/tank assembly/disassembly.

I have a sneakin' suspicion dat I may be misinterpreting da issue. Wouldn't be my first time. So, let's get dis done!

Yeah, probably misinterpreting. The top is tightly screwed on to the Pyrex tank and doesn't move. The center shaft, however, can be turned. It neither tightens nor loosens, it just turns. It's fairly clearly not a threaded connection but rather it's a connection that's supposed to be unmovable but is not.

At least I was right once!

Have ya tried pulling da 'chimney' straight out of da cap? Sounds like dat whatever connection is up dere has failed. Give dat a shot and if it lets go, maybe put a slight crimp on it's rim and reinsert. Obviously, at dis point I'm graspin' at straws. Just hate to have ya spend more on a replacement and have ya miss out on Matt's link below...

You all aren't going to believe this. Vaping Zone is having a sale on liquids. $20 minimum purchase of course! :) 15% off. Code is Liquid15. Damn who'd a thunk it!

I do believe ya. I also believe dat I'll miss 'nother sale due to being well supplied...

Oh wait, never mind, I caught da a $ale a while ago and $tocked up.

Fer dose on da fence, I hope ya do know I do luv my VS SC and G flavs!!!

Good luck to ya, BB!

What little information is available about the almost released MVP3 includes that they are moving the button. I'm hoping that they will also make it easier to press. I love my VV v3s, but it seems like I'm constantly swapping them out for charging. I'd had hopes for the iStick, but I rarely go over 6 watts, so the issue of it running hot is a deal breaker.

Ok, Update on my nautilus problem. To recap, with the coils that came with it... incredibly horrendous. Flavor not nearly what it should be. In fact downright nauseating.

So got a chance to install a new bvc. Better. Normal flavor of the juice is back but really weak compared to my i30.

So, the bottom line... the naut sux IMO. But again, that's me. YMMV. Still haven't found a thing better than the i30 for me. Especially sitting on an SVD.

The chimney will move longitudinally by a tiny amount, detectable audibly more than visually, but it sure doesn't want to separate from the cap. Ordered my whole new Nautilus from MFS for $27 including shipping. It would be $2 cheaper for somebody outside of NC but MFS was still the best price I could find even with the tax handicap. I'm still spending SO much less on vaping than I did on Newports.
