See I thought if your reg mod was v w then the circuitry took care of the voltage depending on your resistance and if it was a v v it took care of the wattage.
Starting to get the feeling people reading this will be thinking this guy has no clue![]()
You're correct about that. VV controls wattage (and voltage). VW controls voltage (and wattage). Thanks PapaSloth and MIkeE3 , DavidOck and everyone

Seems that few vapers are neutral when it comes to using "analogs" as a synonym for cigarettes. I think the term is really clever, and I like it. The term I don't like is "stinkies". I don't hate cigarettes or smokers and I feel that if I use that term I'm looking down on people who still smoke.Oh, I like that idea a lot! El Whacko is 90 pounds.
Ruth, I forgot about the analog question. I call them, as most here do, cigarettes. I tried using the work analog a couple of times when I first got here and every time I felt the uncontrollable urge to go wash out my mouth with soap.
I know the feeling. I'm getting online for fun about once a day lately....
Just stopping in for a bit, work is taking up waaaay too much time.![]()
heh - Don't sweat it. I'm the same way. 2200 mah... about 4 to 6 hours for me depending on weather a dust mote falls in the forest.I hate to admit it but I would vape away 2200 mah is about 4 or 5 hours. Tend to chain vape a lot.
I use both analogue and cigarette interchangeably either way people know what you are saying.Hi folks, I'm a total newbie. I've got a Vamo v5 which I'm just trying to get used to but already I think I'm going to love it.
Lost my brother in Feb due to his smoking analogs (is that the right word?). I've tried so many times to quit and failed but I'm really excited about vaping and already think I'm going to love it. Just dabbling at the moment. Working out how to use it and the technique is a bit different. First few tries I nearly choked myself.
Not very 'up' on the jargon lol but working on it, so please excuse me if I make a gaff. Look forward to getting to know new friends on here.

My sense of smell has improved a lot but not nearly enough for cigarette smoke smell to be objectionable. I've been in a vehicle with someone who's smoking and I don't notice it. I've stood on a train platform, vaping while surrounded by smokers, and not noticed. Not looking down on smokers, just calling them what they are. Since I quit I can literally smell one a block away. There is a guy at the other end of the cul de sac that smokes on his porch and I can usually smell it when I walk out of the house.
Yep. I just rebuilt it. Used my standard mandrel-- back-calculated to 2mm, and standard coil. 1.6Ω. Attached to the block at the bottom this time, and packed the rayon tight. Did not remove the mandrel until the rayon was in. Had to tighten up the draw. No leaks, no problems. I am going to like this. My Russian is dedicated to Earl Gray.Better airflow through the coil as air is passing thru the center. The idea is to make the I.D. of the coil the same size as the air hole of the atty. Better airflow = better vapor and flavor. ....Yay! Nice! I'm glad its worked out for you. What are you using for wicking?
Just be careful with that long lead, so it doesn't have a chance of causing a direct short. There was a preferred 'leg' (either the positive or negative) to use as the long leg to minimize shorting concerning. But for the live of me I can't remember whether the one is my picture was done the 'preferred' way.

I think that I have a rudimentary understanding of the difference between VV and VW. I do appreciate VW and use it rather than VV in any device that offers a choice.bigs - I think what you said is a bit misleading.
A VV device only control's voltage. You set the device to a particular voltage and that's all the device controls. The regulator will put out that voltage regardless the resistance of the coil. The power lever (watts) will be different at the set voltage depending on the resistance of your coil.
A VW device will 'read' the resistance of your coil and the regulator will provide the proper voltage so the power lever (watts) matches what you set the watt level to on the device.
So the VW device is actually controlling voltage to match the power level (watts) the device is set to regardless the coil resistance.
The VV device's regulator is only controlling output voltage to the set voltage. The power level (watts) varies depending on the coil resistance.

A VV device varies wattage to match the volts that the user has set. A VW device varies volts to match the wattage that the user has set.
Guess I've been feeling argumentative for a couple of days (my back is bothering me a lot), but I don't think my statement was misleading.
Well I ordered my 6 samples from LKA today.
Plush, Peach Impediment, PYMP, 3 Best Jollys, Fruit Bat Delight, and Passionate Tango.
I have a feeling of which ones I will like the best, but has anyone tried any of those? REAL low on juice, can anyone recommend any vendors right now with some specials/good shipping prices? Trying to open up my realm of juices.

I'd think you probably have a B&M vape shop around you to get some juice to hold you until you can get an order in the mail. Many of those shops have tasting bars where you could sample flavors. Sometimes it's surprising to find you like some flavors that you wouldn't have thought possible. Keep in mind that you should vape a tank or 2 before buying a large quantity. Gotta give your tastebuds a chance to catch up, especially when you're starting out. Your sense of smell and taste will change after getting away from cigarettes.

I didn't want people to think of me as someone who stank when I smoked, even if I did stink, so I'm unable to think of others that way.
A short story: I used to do a fair amount of selling on Ebay. I sold some new socks one time that had been sitting around my house for a couple years but never worn. They weren't in plastic, though. The buyer complained to me that they smelled of smoke. After that, I always stated in my ads that the item had been stored in the home of a heavy smoker. Oh, and cats too. I made great efforts to vacuum any cat hair from an item but said in my ads that the item came from a multiple-cat home.
A massive understatement is "surprising to find some flavors you wouldn't have thot possible", Janet.
Even being a chocoholic, just the thot of vaping chocolate was stomach turning. But somehow got stuck trying one. Got hooked. On the other hand, tried quite a few different brands and they were awful. Still using the original.
And as far as others... not a strawberry fan. Found more than one good one. Pina colada? ewwe. But... not bad either.![]()
Thing is I have a gajillion bottles on the shelf that suck. Love cherry. Haven't found even one I like. Pretty much gave up looking for that flavor.
Bottom line is, if you can finally come across that "magic" flavor, you'll never smoke again.

The current production Provari's are VV devices. The 'device' does not vary wattage. The 'device' will regulate the voltage output to the setting made by the user.
Wattage will depend on the resistance of the coil and the properties of electricity according to Ohms Law. It (watts) will not be regulated/controlled by the 'device'.
