It refers to an article in The Hill. I couldn't find the article there under a search for ecigarettes.
Yup, neither could I. But any proposed regulation or notice of change to regulation must be posted in the Federal Register... I'm so hoping whomever wrote the article got it wrong. It's enough, already!

There was something recently from a manufacturer, discussing why they weren't going to ever offer ceramic coils, can't remember which company though. They included detailed microscopic pictures of the ceramic heads and talked about potential health affects of breathing in particles that might break loose.

Yes, that was it! I forget the manufacturer too..

You probably already know this and if you do ignore my post but you can just print out the notes and put the sheets in a three-ring binder. Or you can mail yourself the notes, then cut and paste them in a word processor and store them in your computer. If you go that route be sure to back them up on a flash drive too.

I"m a big believer in back-ups.

Oh yes! Backups for backups! Having been a computer tech for over 20 years, I can't tell you how many times a hard drive crashed and there was no backup. I back everything up to a flash drive at this point.

My recipes are in a big Word file, so no problem printing them and putting them in a binder.

No ignoring a valuable post Bea. All good advise even if I already know. I don't always use my own knowledge and it doesn't hurt to be reminded.

It is widely available from any place that sells concentrated flavorings for vaping. It is diluted with pg/vg & flavorings to make a vapeable eliquid. Most of us that diy use it. Its not unusual.
@seminolewind don't get confused it is strictly for DIY and is only the nic in a solution of vg pg or a combo of both. You have to mix it with the flavoring and more vg and pg to bring it down to the strength you want. It's the best bang for the buck as far as nic goes. MFS sells it in all VG or all PG or 50/50. Thats the only place I have gotten any and it's easy to use just take precautiions so you don't spill it on yourself. Some people use rubber gloves when handling it but I'm just careful and since I use syringes with a blunt tip needle it's just easy and I cap it right back up after use so I don't take a chance of spilling any and wash my hands well after.

I already print out my recipes makes it easier to work with when I do my mixing. Plus it is the oldest form of backup and even works when the power is out!

The FDA should get reigned in when the court cases get heard. My local vape shops are expanding and the one going out of business doesn't make much sense unless your in a state like Pa. But again the 40% floor tax is being repealed.

Hubby's really sick now
So sorry he's so sick......hope he's better really soon.

Went to the public housing board meeting last night. After listening to the initial portion, was invited to speak about the proposed smoking policy. One member was a real antz. "I have heard that some people have done serious harm to themselves by vaping." I made the expected responses to that. There is something deeper afoot. Fled after I finished saying my piece. The vibes were setting off my PTSD.

A snitch system that rivals the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century?
that's horrible! I hope maybe you got through to some of them with your talk and answers. Sure hope they aren't on a witch hunt with this!

Do they even sell liquid that's 100mg nicotine per ml?
Like legs said, they don't sell juice at that level. Only nicotine for DIY to mix it with pg/v to lower it to the strength you vape and add flavors or vape it unflavored.

I did find this on FDAs site, but it was from Sept 2015

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing regulations to describe the circumstances in which a product made or derived from tobacco that is intended for human consumption will be subject to regulation as a drug, device, or a combination product under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the FD&C Act). This action is intended to provide direction to regulated industry and to help avoid consumer confusion.

But again the 49% floor tax is being repealed.
they've proposed a bill for that, but don't think it's been voted on yet.

My health insurance co is just getting more & more creepy. It's time for the yearly health screening they hound us about. They called to remind me about it & want to send a Nurse Practitioner to my home to do it. They did this last year, too. I gave her the same answer I gave them last year. They are my insurance company. It is their job to pay the bills. Period. My health is private, & not their business. My Dr's & I are capable of managing any health concerns I might have. That is not the place of an insurance company, & since they are a government entity they are not welcome in my home. Ever.
Good for you!!

I also read that article. I think the company was sense or something like that so I took it with a grain of salt. Always wonder about a company that comes out and says something bad about another company's products. If my memory is correct they reported this right before they came out with a new coil not ceramic. The last test I saw by an independent lab with no skin in the game found no problems with them plus I have wiped inside of them with a dark rag and got nothing.

As always, I am going to believe the best. Maybe they wanted to see me prove that I have an anxiety disorder. LOL. That I did. There is one person here who is a witch-hunter, but I think they know that.

Oral arguments began yesterday. While the judge's questions did not appear to be supportive of Nicopure's arguments, it's too early to draw any conclusions. Except, of course, that stocking up remains a very good plan.

Huh?, reading everything it seems the FDA is going after nicotine notes on computers. Do I need to print out all my recipes with nic, too? Should I print out two sets?

Put a decoy ingredient in each of your recipes, like mashed potato or eggs. That should confuse the NSA scanning programs. Don't encrypt them though, that would just get their attention. If you write them out by hand you could use mirror writing. Da Vinci did that and it kept the Inquisition off his back so it should work with the Feds.

@Debadoo do a little research because the Tax was passed back in July and last I heard it was repealed but I am not sure if it has be voted on as yet in terms of the repeal but that tax went into effect I think.

The PA 40% floor tax has NOT been repealed. A bill to replace it was 'voted' on only by a committee to present it to PA congress. The 40% floor tax is currently in effect.
