I've made a number of orders from FT since 8/8. Mostly coils and a tank. I don't buy batteries from FT. Since 8/8, I haven't bought a mod from them. I haven't had any issues.
I think that registration as a vendor doesn't come until after the first of the year.

Quitting smoking for me required finding the closest flavor to a cigarette as i could find. Then after I was months past wanting or craving for a smoke I started looking into flavors. That took forever to finally find Fruit By The Drop Tropical Fruit. Once I was able to vape flavors I went berserk and have over 100 flavors at any given time.

DH, For "simplicity", I really like the eGo ONE tanks. I recently won a Cubis, and I'm finding that to be quite nice as well. Drop in a coil and go. I have rebuildable heads for both, but if your brother doesn't want to futz, the stock coils are pretty nice. I almost commented on the STM/Ns, but I just re-read he wasn't all that enamored with those.

Mebbe a device with internal battery? I see if people have to futz with anything, they're not willing to keep up. It is way easier to flip open the top of a pack of smokes and flick a bic......
What kind of airflow does he like?
He seems to prefer a medium airflow, I think.

He had said he wasn't getting enough vapor from the 306. I suggested the Nautilus because it's so highly recommended. I thought it would give him just that little bit more. Then he tried the Kanger sub-tank. He said that was too airy for him. He had also tried just using lower resistance 306s. They were too hot.

I'm not sure what was wrong with the Nautilus. I don't remember what he said now.

So, he doesn't want it to be too hot. And, he wants a medium amount of airiness and vapor.

He probably would prefer a built-in battery. But, I don't think that's particularly important to him.

How airy are the eGo One tanks?

I really think he would like the RM2 best because he doesn't want the unreliability and lack of flavor of a clearomizer. He's used to dripping on a 306. Good flavor, just not enough vapor. So, an RM2 makes sense. However, I'm sure he would rather not build coils. So, I don't know.

RM2's have very little airflow. Mine even has a bigger airflow because it was drilled out to 3mm. I still have to slipstream. The K5 has 4 air sizes. Even the smallest one is a bit bigger than the v2's it seems. The 4th setting is pretty airy. I keep mine set on the 3rd setting. Air + flavor. If I go to the 4th it's too airy & I lose flavor. Plus it's top fill & you can change your wick mid tank if you want.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool tootle puffer, and the eGo One Mega is my favorite tank, either version, but the V2 has the open glass that most seem to prefer.

It's pretty versatile, IMO. With the drip tip that comes with it and the air opened up, it can be pretty airy. But, I usually put a narrow-bore drip tip on and dial down the air flow to a comfortable tootling point. In fact, with the narrow drip tip, I find it quite nice even with the air flow open.

If you do get it, I highly recommend the Joyetech 1.0 CLR coil (they also make a .5Ω coil). They are not very expensive, about $10 for five of them and even if you don't want to rebuild, it's very easy to change the wick and just keep on vaping. I did not like the stock coil that comes with the tank, but the eGo One Mega with the 1.0 CLR is by far my favorite tank. I have seven and plan to treat myself with a couple more when the Holiday sales come.

ETA: Here's a thread discussing the eGo One Mega and the CLR coil. You'll probably find some folks you know there:

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

BTW, All Hallows Eve is tomorrow, the eve of All Saints Day. Today is the eve of All Hallows Eve.
I wasn't sure what it was so I was waiting for someone more familiar. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Now I won't have to think about it for another year. Plenty of time to forget it again.

I'm just not sure if he'ld be willing to build his own coils.

When I first was getting into vaping, it had to be stupid easy for me. If I had started vaping with something that required rebuilding coils, etc. I'm not sure if I would have quit the stinkies let alone continuing and enjoying vaping.

Key to quitting is flavor. If you find something you "like"... u may quit. If you find something you absolutely adore... u'll never smoke again.
(bin there, dun dat)
When I first started vaping, I didn't think I would like flavors. For the first 2 or 3 months, after I decided to really vape vice smoking, I would get 24mg juice without any flavor. I was real good friends with the folks in my local B&M. Mick, the guy that was really instrumental with getting going right with vaping, had me try adding a bit of vanilla to my juice. He created a flavor junky. lol

Oh I don't mean non baccy flavors. Any flavor. Tobacco included. If it taste Reeeeally better than your smoke... no reason to keep smoking.

Sooo true! Even simple flavors will work. The cigalikes I tried were menthol tobaccos & were disgusting. I stopped right there. After more research for a few months I tried a little ego set up with plain menthol & a peppermint juices. That was it. I quit smoking that day. Then I discovered actual flavors! Woohoooooo!

He might like the STM if it had a SS coil on a VTCmini in power mode. Single battery super easy to change coil will last a couple months. SS makes a big diff but the STM has changed some. You either have to use it wide open or tootle puff. They changed the air flow but it is still a restricted lung hit. Put a 6 or 7 wrap spaced coil in there plenty of vapor and AF. I have one with Kanthal in it and one with SS and it's like night and day the difference in the flavor. My favorite flavors came from Heathers Heavenly Vapes when I started and they will custom make them with VG PG and nic what you want or at least they would. Not the cheapest but really good. If he was using the STM with the premade coils I can see why he wouldn't like them. Plus he would have up to 75w.

@2legsshrt I appreciate it, I think I can noodles through fixing the rba base, shouldn't be very difficult! Not sure if the kayfun v5 would be to my liking. I have grown to really enjoy a very open draw. Avocados wide open, just picked up the Hadaly and it's a little more restricted than what I really like but the flavor is outstanding!!

Yeah I like a slightly resticted lung hit which is what the K5 has but the flavor it puts out is fantastic. Not sure how they do it with the Kayfuns but I have been able to cut my flavoring down to 1% but the flavoring I use is really strong not sure how they do it it's a Russian secret.

Might be my wicking but i get dry hits from time to time. Very strange but I just put it to the side and plugged in some factory coils. Didn't have a single issue with the other base and in using the same method!!
Just curious what is it doing

Yes. I've contemplated dremmeling them a little wider and deeper.
Well I did a lot of experimenting with the wicking and the best way I found with 50/50 was to cut the wick just a tiny bit above the juice openings and wet them down and stick them to the sides then put the chimney and the cap back on and screw it all back together never had a bit of problems. I like the newer ones better. You can get them at MVS or at Kangertechus
