That's wonderful! I hope he does come back for more.

I wish vaping was working better for my daughter and my brother, especially my brother.

My daughter isn't serious enough yet. I think vaping will work fine for her once she's more serious.

But, my brother is the one that first got me vaping and was vaping almost exclusively for a few years. He slowly got more and more fed up with what he was using. Now, he's barely vaping at all. He has tried some new things. But, nothing seems to hit the spot. And, he has very little patience with trying new things.

What he used the most is the Cisco 306. In the last year or two, it's just not doing it for him anymore. It turns out he also doesn't like the taste of cartos. So, carto-tanks and such are out of the running. He's tried the Nautilus, the Kanger Sub-Tank, and I think a couple of other things.

I want to find some things for him to try without him having to be involved in shopping around. He hates shopping with a passion, whether it's vape related or not.

I'm thinking of trying a couple of different extremes next. At one extreme, the Eleaf iCare. At the other extreme a couple of different REO setups. One with a simple high quality 510. The other with an RM2. I think the RM2 would work best. I'm just not sure if he'ld be willing to build his own coils.

Sounds like the guy needs a real heavy hitter. I'm not talking about airy or a drip, Just something that is ultra satisfying and no complications. I think that if people don't take to vaping, they just haven't found the right equipment. I would say an eleaf istick 30 watt or similar, and a nice tank that resembles a drag on a cigarette. I think you're on the right track. People like that have to know that they can get more of a hit even if they don't use it.

I know a few people have quit with an ego one. I have no experience with it. I'm just saying he might like something he feel can be adjustable up or down. And I always have this philosophy. Only one self can decide to quit smoking. Vaping is the easiest way. I never treat a smoker like a failure. I never pressure. I do try to get the people I know the equipment that will have the most influence .

My daughter's husband thought I was a fruit cake with vaping. I left him some really nice equipment and I don't think he had the interest. But he happened to go to a vape shop and started vaping full time. Now he's like us who need new equipment to futz around with. He would be devastated if he couldn't find parts or juice, so he stocked up. My daughter went thru the vaping phase and quit altogether.

Ummm, FT is selling in China and just delivering to WA...

And yepper, China don't care!
FT also has it written in their policies that complying with local rules is up to the buyer. If a package is returned to them by customs they will refund minus a fee for actual shipping (usually $25) but that if the package was confiscated by customs there is no refund.

I have read on this forum somewhere post 8/8 of individuals packages being stopped at customs until they filled out paperwork that seemed to me they were setting themselves up as a commercial importer even though it was for personal use. Not a can of worms I personally want to open.

I take the position of oversees orders being an at your own risk as there is a chance your package won't skate through and I am not sure of the long term implications of filling out that paperwork.

I heard about vaping for the first time in the early 90's. Something about using a flashlight. I blew that off. Then about 8 years ago a friend of my nephew came to a party at my sisters home & he was vaping on what I now recognize as an Evod, maybe a carto tank set up. It got my attention, I didn't inquire, but I recognized the word vaping & sort of knew what it was & it had progressed beyond flashlights. It eventually progressed enough & looked simple enough that I was genuinely interested in doing some research.

YES!! pages of fishing might get us in trouble if we don't "reel" it in :D but the health/well being of our porchers is never off topic here.

Okeydokey... then I'll just drop this here.
Time for an update concerning my Bride's cancer treatment and stuff for those that are interested in following along. If not interested, please feel free to bypass the rest of this post. :)

We spent the 15th and 16th in the emergency room because she was having trouble breathing and her oxygen stats had dropped into the 70's, according to our pulse oximeter at home. They ran several tests and determined that she had fluid in the pleural space (the pleura is a sac that encases the lung; the pleural space is the area between the pleura and the lung). The doctor came in on Sunday the 16th and performed a thoracentesis (stuck a needle in her back to drain the fluid). We went home that night and she was feeling much better, but she's been on home oxygen since then.

She began having trouble breathing again this past Monday, so we managed to get in to see the doctor again yesterday. The doctor put in a catheter so that I can drain the fluid off from home. We'll have to do that for about the next six weeks. After that point, she says that the pleura should re-attach to the lung and there is a less than ten percent chance that fluid will accumulate after that. So that was good news, because we were expecting that this was going to be a long term issue. :)

Also, yesterday afternoon, we heard back about the clinical trial medications. Our insurance had denied coverage and denied all appeals. We applied for Merck's Patient Assistance Program. About a week and a half ago Merck denied our request, but said that we may qualify for an exception clause and allowed us to apply for that. We did, and it was approved yesterday! YAAYYYY!!! So now, we're waiting to actually receive the medications, which shouldn't take too long. We have a CT scheduled for tomorrow morning, and will likely have several appointments next week so that the doctors can run tests to establish baselines before beginning the treatment. She will take the treatments for two months, then have the scans and blood work done again to see if it is doing any good. But we're finally On The Path! She has been without any treatment for the past three months or so, and we've both been very anxious to get something started again.

So, that's the long and short of it for now... sorry for not updating y'all in a while, but we've been in limbo for a while and finally have some news to share. At least it is the beginning of some good news. :) Much love to all, and thank you all so much for following along in our journey.

If you have the V1 RBA deck for the STM there is a trick. After you tuck your cotton tails down into it you need to take your tweezers from the top and push the cotton back away from the juice hole towards the center a little bit. You should be able to see daylight through the hole when looking from the top at it.

ALso I find even with the V2 RBA decks every so often I have to yank the cotton, dry burn, then take the deck out of the base and thoroughly rinse both the base and the RBA deck in hot water. Its like some of the ash gets down in there and gives a harsh dry sort of hit.

Thanks! I try to make sure to pull the wicking away from those juice channels. It's just strange that I had one v1 base that I could always wick 100% right every time but this one drives me bonkers!! Might have to look at another deck, maybe the v2. It's not super high on my priorities right now, might try to modify the v1 a little, deepen the juice channels, notch the barrel. I have a dremmel and I'm not afraid to use it!!!!!

lol Love it when this type of thing happens!!

Of course. Some people just have to hear it from an expert - even though you likely know more than the vape shop people.
Jup nephew spent gobwods of $$ on an MPV 3 Pro, an IsubG tank and some juice, I wanna say it was about 300.00  I could have gotten him a much better mod (those are good, but bulky and no replaceable batt) a better tank for him starting out than a sub ohm, for a whole lot less money. And he knew that, but he wanted to do it himself, and he just never trusts anything his mom or I tell him......even though the "so called" experts often tell him the same thing. Could have even gotten him the same set up for a lot less money if that's what he wanted. He's got some severe mental illness. Part of it includes thinking that if he pays more money for something, it must be a better thing.

I have a dremmel and I'm not afraid to use it!!!!!
lmao.......love it!

Nice!! What shops do you generally go to around town??!!
Usually Vape NoVA, on Rt1, just north if Target. I'm in there once a week, anyway -- just to visit and help newbies. I  Aaron, Heather and Patrick. What little I know about building, I learned from Aaron :).

Every once in awhile, I go to Eco Vapez on Duke (cuz I like Cisco).

You?

I usually drop in at Vaporsolutions in Falls Church, I've been to ecovapez a few times. I'll have to check out Vape NoVa. Do they carry a good selection of juice??!!

Every once in a while I'll go to sick clouds in manassas and Rt 28 Vapes. Vapology in Herndon is a nice shop as well. I was very sad when Carlo had to close Hooked on Vapes.

I'm a locksmith, I do a lot of work with access control companies installing electric releases, mag locks and electrified lock bodies, not much I CAN'T do with a dremmel!!

Never been to Vaporsolutions. Falls Church has way too much traffic! It's funny, isn't it, that we tend to have "our" vape shop :)

Vape NoVA has a decent selection. They carry a lot of brands, with several popular cereals and fruits (none of which I vape ). Mostly, I DIY... What's special about the shop, to me, is that they are very well-informed, helpful, and really kind. And they give a military, firefighter, law enforcement and educator discount.

Eco vapez changed management (same owner), and opened a shop in Hyattsville. Much better, now. EV and VN have done some fund raising for CASAA, together.

It is a PITA to get in and out of Vaporsolutions, as a bonus, it's right next door to a smash burger so there's that!! How about Potomac vapor down I'm Hoodbridge, have you ventured down there??

I can see I'm going to have to check out Vape NoVa now!!

A few months ago someone tried to help me with this dry hit/gurgling thing. I frequently get runs that are great. But right now I have 2 mini's causing me problems. With all I've tried and done, I think the problem is the 2ml. Mini. I have 3 different brands. All a problem. The last one was great but I dropped it..

I think there's some reason that the pressure/vacuum is not as great as with a 3ml. If I take any mini I have, and they dry hit, I unscrew the top for a microsecond, and then I get a few good drags. Then it'sback to dry. And I always let new atties soak before .

So I have a few nice Davide 3ml,s on the way. $5.00 a piece and $3.00 for shipping.

I'm so looking forward to actually visit a Vape shop. I'd probably spend too much. Are most still up and running? There are a couple in AU, in other states, but no Nic. I did see somewhere that doctors can now prescribe it for therapeutic use. But that would be for quitting.
