Hello everyone. While I am not quite 55 yet, the way the years seem to roll by as I get older it won't be much longer, so I figured I better grab a spot for my chair on the porch. I was a 1 1/2 to a 2 pack a day smoker since I started in the seventies, finally started vaping in 2012 and haven't had a stinkie since. Started out on an Ego with the Ego tank, moved up to a Vamo first with a CE4 style, then Protank 2's. After the Deeming news I decided to bite the bullet and got a couple of Provari's, a P3 and a Radius, figuring the would last a long time. I just got a couple of Subtanks so I can start rebuilding coils(will take some getting used to vaping at higher wattages), but still like the Protanks as my all day tank.
Welcome Ed!! Good on ya for being able to quit!! We don't check IDs here....just wanted kids to know we were mostly older folks. Sounds like you have some good equipment! any questions just ask. Lots of provari and some radius folks here. I'm not one of em though. Also tons of great people just to chat with! (that's where I come in) lol This thread we have to try to keep to vaping as much as we can, but on the back porch (BP) we can talk about anything ECF allows. Most folks visit both porches, but a few only one or the other.

Welcome, Ed... We have plenty of seats - benefit of a virtual porch. Join in the party is just starting (well four years ago, but still going strong)... We always enjoy new folks...

Welcome Ed! You found one of the best threads on ECF. (other is the other porch ;) ). Lots of caring, sharing, friendly folk here, always eager to help (spend your money) with anything you might need.

Welcome aboard, and conga-rats on the switch! :thumb:

Just build your subtanks to a similar resistance to what you're using, feather out the air, and vape the same. Just because they come with sub-ohm doesn't mean you have to stay there :)

Welcome to the porches, Ed! Don't worry about age... like they said, no ID checks in here... I think I'm still the youngest "kid" round here... just turned 40 back in February. ;) I swear that I feel a whole lot older these days, though... :p

Anyway, Congrats on no smokes in the past 4 years! That's awesome! If ya got any questions, feel free to ask... several of us have been vaping for a long time and have a pretty good handle on various problems with gear, juice, whatever. And you won't find a friendlier bunch than this place anywhere on the interwebs!

Hanging with old folks will have that effect... :):D:w00t:

Hahaha! I think it has more to do with the aches and pains that I wake up with every day now. I've spent more than my fair share of time around older folks... some of my best memories as a kid was sittin' around the shop with my grandpa... listening to him and his friends tell stories. :)

I certainly wished I had my current state of mind in, oh, say a body that was around 25 years old..... Now that would be fun  ...... The daily aches get to be a real pain in the a*s :w00t: .... Nah, I can handle the little aches and pains, it's all of the other discomforts that come with age that aren't too much fun for me.
