Congrats @Vape? ... yep, I remember the trials and tribulations you went through. Ain't it great to have that behind you and have hit the 1 year mark.

Vape?,

Isn't vaping just a wonderful 'self-gift'? As said before, one needs the need to combat the reality of killing one's self with 'bakky!
I especially luv celebrating first vaporversaries.... and now yours...

The "kids" aren't interested in the way I vape anyway.

Oh so true nowadays. Re Tutu's comment re me losing interest, it wasn't so much losing interest as it was dat vaping equipment advancements and popularity pretty much out ran my source of ripe/fresh 'bakky victims' in my AO, and wid me in my own 'happy vaping place'.

Regardless, it's still a thrill fer moi to celebrate a vaper's vaporversary, regardess of which one... but especially da first...

The good folks here really made the transition easier but it wouldn't have happened if I had not had a desire to put them down for good.

Diver,

As we become aware of our vaping health improvements (not even countin' mental attitudes), it can become a v-vert crusade for dose we care fer.

I just happened to be in a target rich environment during my vaping genesis and had a friendly AO. All ya can do is try to help others. Don't press, but also don't be surprised when one of your 'attempts' seeks ya out fer mo' info later on! Dat's truly a special day!!!

Thanks, I've got my vaping stuff pretty squared away. Just got an email this morning from UPS. They grabbed my flavourings from EcigExpress, and have them in quarantine. Snarf! Now they want an origin/ composition of ingredients/ end use declaration from them, and I get to pay extra for quarantine processing. Wasn't even any Nic in there.

@Zen Knitter - Looks like your vape store might be right. Don't know if you keep up with this thread California Prop 56 - Hidden Vape Tax but saw this link today Tax and Fee Guide for Cigarettes and Tobacco Products Maybe, perhaps, dunno for sure, this is were we stand in a couple of days but at the end of next month it may be a whole different ballgame.

Of course, "Tobacco products do not include cigarettes," [their italics, not mine] because they are FDA approved. So there.

I have 2 strong VVerts. One, who converted several years ago, saw me vaping, asked, then went off on her own. She lives in Canada and I see her about once a year. Still vaping strong, does her research, and is very happy I introduced her to it.

The other is George's breeder. Yes, I have to hold her hand a bit, but she buys her own equipment and juice. I do clean/rebuild her coils, and answer any questions happily. She has not 100% quit the cigarettes, but vapes more as time goes by.

BTW, her husband, who I believe I reported had an aneurysm burst in his brain in October, is now back to full time work and doing fine. It has been an amazing recovery. If I ever saw a real miracle, he is it.

Yay for George's Mr. breeder! I don't know much about burst brain aneurysms except when I've read about them they are always fatal to the victim. So glad he is doing well.

Yo have discussed your converts and I love hearing about them and their continued success.

The "kids" aren't interested in the way I vape anyway.

You and me both. I never moved beyond a (better) variant of the PT1 and a superior ego (Provari 2.5). In other words, I've been cig free for four years and haven't progressed from the cutting edge (at the time) of vaping the entire way. :D But I do still cling to a dream of helping an older smoker convert.

I guess I am in the group that hasn't had much luck getting anyone to convert. My neighbors both smoke and had tried vaping but went back to smoking after a short time. They just don't want to talk about the time they spent vaping or why it wasn't for them. Another friend again just says he tried it and it didn't work. I don't get out often so the internet (FB) is my main means of keeping up with friends and family. I talk about the changes I have observed in myself and how finding a friendly B&M and also how helpful folks are here on ECF. I have to agree with the fact that a person has to want to quit smoking for vaping to work. With a desire to quit smoking some of us put the cigs down the first time vaping was tried. Others of us duel vaped for a period of time before we quit. I duel vaped and when I decided to finally put the cigs down I set a date, my birthday, as the time to put them down for good. It was still difficult for me to give up my old friend. For me, quitting was 100% mental. I am very happy that I was able to put the cigs down for good. The good folks here really made the transition easier but it wouldn't have happened if I had not had a desire to put them down for good.

I thought of cigs as old friends too, even though I knew they were killing me and wanted to quit. When all else failed you could go outside and have the nic hit your brain like a nuclear bomb, the other comforting rituals of smoking and enjoy nature. I really miss it and that's what scares me.

On the other hand, when I'm forced to inhale cigarette smoke it's all I can do to politely not gag. I'm sorry they smoke but grateful for the occasional reminder.

I know you didn't give up completely. I'm in awe that you converted so many people. Completely get why you "slacked off," it just stunned me at the time and we discussed and I understand completely. I know you know that but just want to make it clear to everybody. Used to be times changed over years, now it's months or weeks. :( (Yes, some real improvements happen quickly, I'm talking about all the gimmicks, pace of life and BS these days. New medical findings from manipulated datas anybody?)

Well, :censored:. Maybe it was the vendor's name? I hope the order comes through in good shape. Perhaps next time order from the manufacturer? Maybe Wizard Labs? Don't know if the latter would raise a red flag. Crying shame this happened to you.

Either I screwed up (very likely), or ECF didn't capture all the quotes (also likely). Dosen't really matter, deserves a post of its own. :)

A MASSIVE congratulations on the one year vaperversary! The others are wonderful too (surprised me) but the first is absolutely the best. It's a wonderful milestone. In your honor, may I introduce the venerable signer.

Glad you liked it, hope your order progresses quickly. Also hope you're not anywhere near Debbie, as opposed to Deb. Feel terrible for the people and the wildlife. What a tragedy.
I don't know if I know Debbie, FULL STOP, yes I do, cyclone Debbie,as opposed to Deb? I just realised I have been thinking of you as flaming tutu, mentally, as opposed to Flamingo tutu. Just now, your avatar came into my mental registry. Oldtimers brain fritz.

@Vape? I have to confess that I too always think of Flamingo tutu as Flaming tutu. Then need to translate mentally! So sorry Flamingo:cry:.

I tried quitting before back in the day on a mech mod called a Silver Bullet. I vaped high pg ejuice. 24 and 18 mg. It did not work for me. I tried with the little ego twist battery things with the kanger tops, didn't work.

Now fast forward about 7 years and this little Pico with its Melo Mini III and high VG low 6mg nic has worked. Now is it just I was finally ready to quit? Maybe that has something to do with it as well.
that's wonderful it finally worked for you!! And welcome to the porch

Is it common to re-wick that often?
I rewick about once a week or 10 days. Using KGD on an O16 rda. SS wire

So, last week I got a new nemmy. My mod-stand has seven holes, and that empty hole was bothering me.
Sounds like it's time for @Ken_A to make you a 14 hole stand!! :D

Haven't been around for a while, family issues. All is well.

I want to wish @Myrany and very happy 4th vaperversary! We have the same quit date
I haven't been on much either so didn't realize you hadn't been. Glad all is well with the family issues. Sooooooo happy for you and Myrany celebrating your 4th V-versary!!! That's fantastic!!

For those worrying...I am fine I just have not been online much in quite awhile. With the warmer weather the hands are not aching so much and I have been getting real world things done while I have the opportunity.
So good to hear from you. Glad the aching has eased, but can't imagine why ya wanna move to a place that has cold winters and snow. But hope you find the perfect place for you! Wahoooooooooo on the 4th Vversary!!! What day exactly was it for you and tutu? I need to get that in my calendar! Been thinkin bout you and missin ya. Hope hubby is doing well.

I just got a new signature to replace the one that died months ago. Discovered it's my 2 1/2 year anniversary.
kewlios! Happy 2.5!!!

I thought about trying silicone drip tips a few times but every time I looked they were out of stock.
Glad you found some and got em ordered! chipped teeth are no good

You don't have cold weather in FL. :pervy:
au contraire mon frere! hehehe

Anything below 60 degrees is considered cold in Florida.
In my book, it's anything below 70!!

That is why I said the last half.

Basically he has used this method to beat many federal and state agencies over the years (never lost with it). It comes down to the FDA is required to take into account how this will effect even small and medium size towns in terms of jobs and economics and they never do what is required when they issue regulations. He details how to nail them. In short government agencies just check the boxes on the form without doing the studies thus perjuring themselves. It only takes a victory in one town or city to overthrow the entire regulation. Now I am sure I am not getting this 100% right so I do suggest folks listen for themselves.
The legal teams involved in the lawsuits need to know about that. Hope they do. Haven't heard anything lately about how any of the suits are progressing

I use 11 x1 on all three on the deck on all my tobecos,SXK and SJMY KF V5 clones. No problem at all with leaking or seeping.
I think I've seen you on here before, but just in case, welcome to the porch!

I am sure I have enough to last the rest of my life at that rate
From what I recall of what you ordered, or what actually arrived, and your current use rate. I think you have enough to last several lifetimes!

tonight I broke down and made some for him. Reluctantly. Her seems sincerer enough, but I honestly don't want to become his supplier
don't blame ya. I'm with Myrany on that. I think with most things, folks who invest time and energy into things they want/need, do far better with it than folks who get things handed to them

BTW, her husband, who I believe I reported had an aneurysm burst in his brain in October, is now back to full time work and doing fine. It has been an amazing recovery. If I ever saw a real miracle, he is it.
Praise God!!! That is absolutely wonderful news!!!

Been a year for me, plus a bit
wow how time flies! congrats on your first!!!! I'm with Iffy, all of em are so wonderful, but the first is truly extra special! You have come so far since we first met ya! Hope you're proud of yourself, cuz we're sure proud of you!

Regardless, it's still a thrill fer moi to celebrate a vaper's vaporversary, regardess of which one... but especially da first...

That's what I do too. I wish every smoker would either just quit smoking or switch to vaping but they have to really want to. I subscribe to the "you can lead a horse to water but cant make it drink" philosophy.

I cant afford to supply people with the necessary stuff to vape but I gladly give them the same kind of info and advice you do.

I think it's a mental addiction to the hand to mouth activity for lots of smokers. They don't fare well by quitting with nicotine gum or other quit methods, but vaping seems to keep the hands busy while providing an inhale and exhale activity. It's not the nic as much as it is the "hobby" aspect of vaping that satisfies. You still get to do all the things you did while smoking, but without the dangerous chemicals in the cigarette smoke.

Finding a juice that provides a suitable mouth feel and flavor is the crucial step once a smoker starts to vape.
