@FlamingoTutu where have you been? Have missed seeing you about!

Thank you! Did try to post in here recently, had a bunch of quotes... Spent over 20 minutes trying to post the thing. :grr: I really need a new computer but trying to hold off until after fire season. :(

She's ok, just having random computer problems, so spotty attendance these days :)

Thank you for filling them in. Pretty sure my computer and back have joined forces to drive me over the edge. :sneaky:

At last count:

45 boxes - Kanger PT1 & 2 and Minis, and reg. Evods
47 boxes - Kanger PT3 & Mini, Aerotanks (all), Evod Megas, and TopEvods
19 boxes - Kanger OCC
8 boxes - Kanger SSOCC
42 boxes - Innokin 16D/B + 21 boxes of (5) 16B tanks w/coils (got dirt cheap mainly for the coils in them)
19 boxes - Aspire BVC
8 boxes - Aspire BDC to go with older Aspire Kits
20 boxes - Aspire Nautilus BVC
16 boxes - Eleaf GS Air
4 boxes - JoyeTech CLR (Need to get more of these)
500+ - Prewound Kanthal A1 1.5 and 1.8 for my KFL+ shorties, RDAs, and other RBAs

Also a dozen 30ft. rolls of various gauge Kanthal A1 and SS316L wire.

62 boxes of Smok and Boge cartomizers to use in emergency or as "last resort" stuff to help people still vape

173 atomizers (JoyeTech and others) that are the short 510 ones or the eGo Mega cone shaped and cylinder shaped ones, in LR and SR for taste-testing DIY eliquids and as more "last resort" vaping stuff. Have tanks, cartridges, etc. for all of them.

However, all of those factory coils and atomizers aren't just for me. I also keep my hairdresser and my niece who are still in the process of switching over totally to vaping...supplied with their coils, too. Also, a few others I've helped to switch will get in touch if they need some in a hurry. Lots more friends starting DIY who like the atomizers, too. They all know I'm a deal finder and will do whatever I can to help them keep vaping!

Holy :censored: ! I feel so inadequate. I have stocked PT coils, not a hoard of them really, though even if I had a warehouse full of them I might still worry.

I got the authentic JoyeTech CLR coils from FT for $7.70/box of 5, then 10% off of that with 1 of their sales. I only bought 2 boxes first, to see if they were really authentic, and they're fine. Got 2 more boxes with the next sale. It's the best price I've found for them so far.

ETA: However, I'm waiting for the next sale to get more. Wiill probably buy 5 boxes of them at $7.03 and get the % off for further savings. I learned that if you put no more than 2 of something in your cart, then post your coupon code to it, and once it's applied...then update the quantity to what you really want...it'll take the discount % off all 5 or more that you want at the quantity lower price, too. Otherwise, because you get a quantity discount for 3 or more...it won't give you any more discount than that...even with the coupon.

Like everybody else, I'll be trying to remember that.

Evening everybody. Had my heater on for the first time this year, we r down in single digit degrees C. at night. Winter is here. Our sweet, and ok, dog with an attitude problem passed away a few days ago. We got her right after we crossed the dateline for good. Never gets any easier. I don't know how to put photos on here. I keep forgetting she's gone. I don't have to hide when I eat a cookie anymore. It's just not the same.
Two of three of my nautilus tanks are stuck shut. I tried a wrench, needle nose pliers, and holding under hot running water. Still stuck. Time to toss them or is there a trick that sometimes works?

I'm so, so very sorry to hear about the loss of Hopi. I still grieve for animals I lost when my age was still a single digit. I get it. My sincerest condolences on your loss.

Thanks you guys, that means more to me than you'll ever know. Didn't mean to kill the conversation(s) though, you've been posting like demons lately. :sneaky:

I will toss this out there: Have any of you tried the cotton PT coils? I guess they came out two years ago but didn't hear about them until about a month or two ago. They last me from less than a day to three days but I'm :censored: hypersensitive to inhaling random stuff. Would love to hear if anyone else tried them.

Not specifically, but I rebuild my PT coils with cotton. No problems.

As long as it's a rebuildable (like PT), you don't need a warehouse full!

Nice to see ya again, Flamingo! Hurry up and get that new computer!
I'm the same with rayon. It's fine after about a tank, but why go thru that when cotton is great from the start.
Agreed. If I didn't have such a bad habit of burning cotton, I would prefer it. You don't have to pack it into the coil so tight. So, it's less trouble to wick.
All of my vape mail goodness...

Vape goodies for the Front Porch! Yummy!
Dry cotton begins browning at 420°f, dry rayon at 460°f.
Thank you for that info.
Welcome to the Front Porch, Simar Sidhu! Make yourself comfortable and tell us your story. We love stories!

My 90+ boxes of coils that work in the PT, Aerotanks, and various versions of Evods...aren't mainly for me though. Most of them are for other people (still pretty new to vaping) who don't build/rebuild anything. :D

This SS 304 coil, wicked with organic cotton, was built just 30 hours ago. It performed excellently for about the first 10 hours, OK for the next 10 hours, and continued to deteriorate in performance. The reason is obvious. Trust me, there's a coil under the gunk. This might be the fastest I've ever had a coil become unusable, and I don't know why this happened so quickly. It's a contact coil. I'll build a spaced coil and see if it lasts longer.

I don't think it was burned, because I was using it only in TC mode at 350 F and lower. The gunk wasn't crusty, it was just thickly covering the coil and wick. My theory is that the cotton wick I made was too thin. I made a new coil 3 hours ago, with a thicker wick. It's working great so far but it's too soon to know if it will last longer.

I've been trying Temperature Control vaping for about 2 years, off and on. It's been a lot more off than it's been on, due to the complexity of TC, but I'm a believer in the technology.

Today, for the past 6 hours, I'm having such a good experience with TC that for the first time, it's as good or better than any vaping I've ever done in my 4+ years of vaping. It's so good that even if the coil lasts less than a day, I'll make another, even though it takes me about half an hour to make, mount and wick a coil. The time can vary depending on whether or not I need a do-over, but I don't think I could make one in 10 minutes even if everything went perfectly.

Tank: Kanger SubTank Plus using the RBA head
Coil: 6 wraps of 26 gauge SS 304, 3 mm loops, resistance 0.45 - 0.53 ohms. I tried to space the coils a little but it's very close to being a contact coil.
Wick: organic cotton, the fattest strip I could squeeze through the coil.
Mod: YiHi SXMini Q Class with SS 304 setting, 20 Joules, 310 F temperature, 75 F (room temperature) temperature compensation.

A happy boy am I.
