Wow........there's always one that's gotta pretty much ruin it for everyone huh. are y'all the only two vapers? Can't imagine vaping without a dt.
I've vaped on my Supertank Mini without one before. I'm convinced it has a design flaw. That is all one piece which you screw on and off to fill. See those 'fins' near the base? Those create a weak point. I have had two break right at the base of those 'fins' though in fairness I did drop my mod both times. But still, that seems to be a weak point. I now have a couple replacements, but at the time I didn't, and I loved the tank, so I vaped without the drip tip, or rather from the little nub that was left.

Jup definitely a design flaw. I've had one glass one that totally broke off even with the mod from a fall. Had to take the tank apart to get the rest of it outta there. With some tanks I could see it being doable (although likely unpleasant). But with the built in tank that just seems really odd. But she could be the poster child for Suck my Mod

lmao. what was the very first thing you vaped with? and how long have you been vaping. I know it's been a longgggg time

Actually the first thing I used as a DT was a cartridge with the stuffing removed. (510 atomizer)
Stove piping a 510 atomizer was not a good thing

A 401 was my first vape (it was given to me)

I have done that once.....and you're right! Don't recall exactly why I did that. Now to the part you skipped, I am persistent.......how long have you been vaping??

Off & on in 2010. Smoked my last cig April 1 2011.
(when I bought the Mako Midi I think)

    add:
    I should elaborate on that.
I found that by removing the wick plate from a LR 510-T atomizer I had exactly the vape that I wanted when it was paired with a good mechanical mod.
The only thing that has changed since then is that I now do it with a RDA (A7) instead of the 510-T, but the vape is still the same.

Thanks. Actually thought you'd been vaping a lil longer than that. You've been off the cigs just a bit over a year longer than me.

I tried a disposable that my sil had. but it was awful. did some research and my first set up was an 1100 mah riva kgo (cheaper version of an ego) The 1100 mah's had just come out I think. And got some cartos and emdcc's. Found out real quick I couldn't stand the filler material. Ended up with a CE4 I think. The ones where you couldn't replace the coil. Saw a vid where someone did take em apart.......ended up pulling the 510 out of my kgo when I tried it. That left me just one and I was panicky. God love him..... Tx pm'd me for my addy and sent me a 900 mah ego he had so I'd have something to vape while the other one was charging. I'll never use it again, but I'll never part with it.

I still have a 650mAh eGo tucked away somewhere. ;) It was a good back up back in the day.
Have two Silver Bullets & an Omega tucked away also. They were the cat-sas back then.

I still use the old Mako though. IMO it's about the only 14500 mod that can keep up with the big boys.

Jup, I either still have one too, or it was in some stuff that got tossed cuz a buncha juice leaked all over it, and I didn't know it for awhile, so it was a dried sticky mess, and nothing in there was worth cleaning it all up.

She got in the habit of taking a quick hit as she walked through a corridor between working areas, and eventually got caught by a manager. It's always been against the rules to do it inside but after that they issued a hardass memo about vaping in the building, talking about immediate termination and so forth.
Did she get fired? I hope not.

There are 3 others, almost as many as there are smokers.

Not fired. I don't know what happened but my guess is a verbal warning. The email was just standard HR stuff. Since most of us don't have email it was posted on the general notice board.

Cartridge w/o stuffing was a great idea! I had moved on to cartos by then and my first dt was the rubber gripper from a ball point pen (yuck) some of us used. Quickly I started putting those sanitary silicone tips on and condom refilled my cartos from the bottom. My first real dt was a year or so later when carto tanks got affordable, and worthy to use .

They apparently moved it to a private forum. I don't know whether it is for a cooling-off period, to clean up our membership. It has gotten nasty lately. I am getting ready to join the shenanigans thread, and abandon the BP.
