They were all new bought from the source. I thought that using provari's as my stash tool was the smartest move I could make - I bought 5 spread out over a few months.

At first I was leaving them sitting in the drawer - never even tried them - they were there for the long haul as my ultimate backups. But I kept looking at the pretty things and decided to try one to see the hype after a couple of months - 3 days later - it stopped firing - no known cause - just stopped.

Decided then I needed to test them all. Second one - turned out it was almost DOA. It stopped firing on the second tank I put on it.

Now the third I used for several months and then it went into constant firing mode just by putting a tank on it - it would start firing.

I am currently alternating between the 4th and 5th one to test them before the repair facilities disappear for them.

All have been repaired and so far seem to be working, but I have added a few other devices as I am not comfortable with them being my perfect long term tool to cover me in the long years after the destruction of this industry.
Do NOT play the lottery!

Don't need a backup when you take a Provari.

I have to beg to differ with you on that. I have had 3 of them die on me for different reasons within just a few months of use...

From their history, yeah, you probably don't need a backup.

From their history, yeah, you probably do need a backup.

ALL electronics can fail, no matter the QC. Or you might drop it and break the tank. A working mod won't do much good then...

Heck, I don't go anywhere without two set-ups. If we're heading to town (generally an all day trip for us), both have fresh batteries and full tanks. :)

Unless I'm going to be gone more than a couple of days, this is all I take.

True. My 2011 stainless Provari V2 still looks and works like new. Once in a while I take it with me for the nostalgia feel. It's an easy mod to hold in your hand or stick in a pocket. All you need is a spare battery and a bottle of juice.

Ok, here is a question for all of the Kayfun V5 folks. Mine has started leaking juice, is my juice control open too much? I have been opening it 2 1/4 turns. Is my coil too short? Am I not using enough cotton for my wick? It seems to be happening when it sits for a while, 30 minutes or longer. I had to clean it up when I got up this morning.
Most of mine leak a little on the bottoms not a lot but they all seem to do it. I use mine at 1 1/4 turn for 50/50 and 2 turns for high VG. They say that 2 turns is full open. The leaking I haven't really found an answer to for me it seems to be the nature of the beast. I just wipe them off every once in a while. Seems to come out between where the hex shaped piece fits into the base. Sometimes out the air intakes also especially if I lay them on their sides.

I got out my Kayfun V5 a while ago and tried it again. The KF5 for me was more of an attempt at pleasing MTL and DTL vapers in one product. I went back to my KF LPv2.

Flavor was good on the KF5, though. It was just a little touchy to keep in the sweet spot and it didn't like riding in a pocket as well as the KF LPv2.

One of the best flavor tanks I've tried was the Squape R(s). It was also not pocket friendly.

I'm more of a "dance with the one that brung ya" type. ;) The KF LPv2 just works for MTL.

Thanks everyone for the info on leaking Kayfuns. Mine were/are leaking out the air holes at the base. I will also admit that the most occurred after being carried in my pocket. I am also using 50/50 on my juice. I will start using 1 1/4 turn see if it helps. I will let everyone know the out come.

:shock::shock: Yikes, you sure did run into a bad batch. Sure I've heard of Provari's going bad but not that many from 1 person in such a short time. We've got a lot of 'em and did have to return 2 for problems. One was a V2 full size tube Provari which went bad after a couple months. The other was a Radius that was funky out of the box.:shock::shock:

If we hadn't just bought 4 mods this month I'd jump on this.

AVAIL | Kanger K1 Box Mod

Couldn't resist! Got two ordered (yin/yang, ya know).

But, but, but, I do have an excuse... no really! Just set up an Eleaf Nano/Naughty fer an ol' fart Ramp Rat's younger girl friend.

Ahh ok i shall join in yesterday then and check back in a fortnight.

Welcome Gratch ... but yesterday turns into today and today turns into tomorrow ... so I've no idea when you came to the porch. And I've no idea what a fortnight is?
