I don't know if my hex ohm's are serial or parallel. The power is regulated by a potentiometer & circuit board & are Mosfet protected also. They hit much differently than my other regulated mods. I like the hit on the Hexes better.
Is this serial or parallel? I can never remember.

Frequently you can tell whether batteries are connected series or parallel by a visual inspection.

If the + of one battery is connected to the - terminal of the other battery, they are connected in series.

If the - terminals on both batteries are connected to each other and the + terminals on both batteries are connected to each other, then the batteries are connected in parallel.*

In the mod pictureed, a clue is that the batteries are inserted with one having the + terminal up and the other having the - terminal up. This is to bring the + and - terminals near each other to make it easier to connect the - terminal of one battery to the + terminal of the other battery which would suggest a series connection. The remaining terminals would be individually connected to the circuitry of the mod.

The purpose of these two systems is to provide different kinds of power to the mod circuitry. Supposing that you have two 3.7 volt (nominal) batteries with 2500 mAH capacity, connecting them in parallel would give you the equivalent of a 3.7 volt battery with 5000 mAH capacity. If you connected them in series, you would have the equivalent of a 7.4 volt battery with 2500 mAH capacity. In either case you would still have 18,500 mWH (milliWattHours) capacity (66,600 Joules). It all depends on how the circuitry is designed as to what it requires in the way of supplied power.

=======
* (Note that certain load/charge balancing systems might require that only the + or only the - terminals are connected to each other. The other terminals would connect individually to the circuitry. This would allow separate charging and discharging circuitry for each battery so they wouldn't interfere with each other if they were of slightly different capacity or age. This would be fairly rare in vaping mods.)

On a cheerier note; today we are preparing for our annual "Orphan's Thanksgiving". A number of our friends and acquaintances would normally have to spend Thanksgiving alone for one reason or another. Perhaps the rest of their families are spending their day at different relatives, or their families are too far away to justify travelling for such a short time. (I don't think we have any actual orphans with no family at all.) We have been doing this for many years now (since our own children began to establish Thanksgiving traditions of their own).

We've had anywhere from 5 to 20 guests over the years. It's been popular enough that sometimes past guests come later in the day after their own celebrations are done.
EDIT: Having trouble adding a pic.

I live alone, with no relatives in the area. There is a free community thanksgiving feast a block away, but I would be eating alone. And I have been advised to stay away from large groups of people because of germs. I am going to eat thanksgiving dinner with a couple I know, who have just moved to a house in the country. Families like that capture the meaning of thanksgiving.

I'm glad you are able to go!

Mom got her Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. She & a friend went to the local homestyle restaurant & had a feast & took leftovers home. I'm pet sitting for my sister so I have an English Bulldog & terrier in my lap. She & her husband went to Albuquerque to spend the holiday with his mother. She has dementia or Alzheimer's & they don't know how much longer she'll be functional. Apparently she's starting to decline.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day! I am so thankful for all of you!

Us too. I was pleasantly surprised that the younger adults aren't brainwashed by cnn.

At Christmas the crowd is polarized so we agree not to discuss religion, politics and root beer. Every gets along great as long as we discuss things we all agree on like it's cold in Minnesota during winter and Mars is a long ways from Pittsburgh.

Edit:
It bums me out that politics is now an American bloodsport. Such a drag that folks get so into politics these days. So I told my family 3 years ago that anybody who brings up politics at Christmas will be shown to the door.
End edit

Gosh what's up with all of us old duffers here? I had trouble finding this thread due to the lack of participation.
Napping off the turkey ??? I still have a house full of children/spouses/grandbabies. Having a moment of peace while the boys are off fishing. I intended to mix while they were out from underfoot, but decided to kick back and relax instead

My elastic waist pants still fit , so I MUST be okay. SIL is a Chef, so it’s been a non stop food fest...three meals plus football game snacks every day, all day. I’m going to have to go to water and celery for a couple weeks just to get back on track
