Trip is doing well. He's not up to 100% yet, but he's off meds, eating (canned food and some dry), running and playing some, head's still not on straight. But all in all doing well. The reports I've read on sever ear infections say it could be up to 2 months to get over, so we're encouraged and hopeful.
Thank you
I'm glad Trip is doing so well. Wishing Trip the best of luck in making a full recovery and being more free to run and play!
At the risk of having someone say I've now entered 2012 :), a Kabuki tank arrived today. It takes Nauti BVC coils and produces the most flavorful vape I have ever experienced. Ever. Ever. I'm stunned.
Wow! Congrats! I've been hearing great things about the Kabuki.
I'm outta the mod, into the charger; outta the charger, into the china cabinet. My collection of batteries defies logic! Prolly I should put a "first used" date on each one, but I'm pretty sure I'd just ignore it anyway!
I put dates on mine. I mostly ignore them. Unless one starts to act up. Then I start paying attention to the date.

Ask Mike what he does.

Had to look that one up, nice lookin tank. Glad you're liking it!

with the reos I only run my batts down to just under 3.9, pop one out, put another in.......wait til I have two of em needing charged, toss em on the charger, put em back in my charged batts case. I did number em, so I'd make sure to get em rotated good. When I get my new ones I'll put the date on em. I know when I got these, cuz two of em I've had since I started vaping, and the other two I got just before panasonic quit makin the gray ones. I've got one aw imr, and when I get the new ones I need, I'll replace the pannies with more aw imr's. So 5 18650's in rotation and 3 18490's in rotation

I glue the wick to the positive & negative block & just touching the floor of the base. Well away from the grooves. Every puff pulls more juice in & it kinda puddles there at the ends of the wick to soak in ready for the next puff. I do the wick then put the chimney base on, peek to make sure the wick didn't shift, & put the chimney on. If I put the base on, then trim & tuck the wick I often have issues. The other way I don't.
Thats pretty much what I do too Kenna with the STM. The only reason I stopped using the KF's was they didn't have enough air for nickel. With the STM I cut the wick just to the edge of the chimney threads it's only maybe 3/8" then I wet it and stick it to the sides and put the first part of the chimney on and use a microscrewdriver and make sure the juice holes are clear. I haven't had any trouble doing it like that I was having a problem with not enough juice getting to the wick but no more. Stll haven't decided whether to try the NiFe I have heard good and bad. One guy told me if I was happy with Ti26 stick with it. You can run the nife on any mod that has temp control. Steam engine even has a thing now that you can see what to run other wires on nickel mode and the temp offset to use. IDK might try it might not till I see how others find it. Ti works good. I've got one coil now that looks like a raisenette and still vapes great. The raisonette was someone elses view of how long I let them go. I just never feel like working on them anymore. Just want to puff on them. Did make 200ml of juice tonight.

Minleaking. s stay upright, but have fallen over without messing up after. But I use box mods, so standing them up is just natural for me. Laying them down might allow juice from the wick to sneak into the airflow hole tho. That could be why it.s leaking from the airflow. Juice has to be getting into that airflow hole somehow for it to leak out the side hole.
I lay mine down on the nightstand every night. No leaking. Loud sucker when it fall over in the middle of the night.

Does yours show, numerically, the charging progress? My poor charger was, as it used to be put, wigging out.
No but I haven't had any problems so far. No heating or anything else. I've been doing it for a while now.

I'm sorry, Tutu. I thought I hit "Post," and hadn't. My brain just goes missing, sometimes! :).

My charger, XTAR VP4, does show the charging progress, numerically. I've never seen it bounce around the way you described. Must've wigged YOU out!

The ones on my boxes are often sideways, never a leak. Tube mounted ones are generally in a hip holster, rack, or hand, but get laid down now and then, and again, never a leak.

Only times I've ever had a KF leak (other than radical temp or elevation changes, and all bottom coil toppers are prone to that!) I've either not had the sections properly snug or have had a munged o-ring. (Keeping in mine none of mine are V4, so no experience with that model.)

These LG HE2's are really good batteries.
jup have recently heard much good about them. But will stick with the aw imr's I think. Actually just looked it up........it was the LG HG2's I'd heard much good about recently, the brown ones. But I do like the throw with the button top AW's, The 1600's hold that top part of the charge that I use most for a good long while, so mah isn't so important to me. They're higher than some others, but I trust them and feel very comfortable with them.

when your mind is out wandering, if it finds mine........tell it to bring it home, then I'll send yours home to you immediately! (with a cookie, even though it was a bad brain for wandering off). At least next time it wanders off, it'll come to me immediately for more cookies, and I can send it home!
that's the charger I want......do you love it? How long have you had it???

Yummmm! Cookies! :)

I don't know that I'd say I love the charger. It's a charger, after all :p. But I like it a whole lot more than the Nitecore it replaced. I like having the numbers, though it makes me a bit crazy when the charge registers 4.19 after having read 4.20. From what I read, it's a really safe charger. I charge through the night and never give it a thought.

If anyone is thinking about giving me cause for thought, please don't. I worry way too much as it is!

Wasn't sure if it was going to blow (vent) or what, lol. Mine is the XTAR VP4 also and I really like it and I like seeing where the batteries are in the charge cycle. If you see my brain out there loitering around, please send it home also. Thank you. :)

I have a nitecore 4D (D=digital). Charges up to 4 batts, mix or match and no problems for over a year.
They look very similar. Nothing wrong with Nitecore, except I got a lemon and became gun shy. The only reason I got a lemon was because I had no backup charger when the original abruptly fired.Everything that can go wrong and all that rot. ;)

2 screws? usually there's one small screw for air flow and a larger one for filling? Do you have 2 screws the same size?
The Lite V2 has two air holes and two adjustment screws. Been a while since you bought a new one eh Mike?

I tried that, didn't work. I had to buy some 25amp batteries for all the new mods I have (3) so I have about 15 or 16 batteries I don't even use now. Also have 4 18350 that have almost never been used. Left over from my Vamo days. I can vape an 18350 dead in about a hour.

I saw the nitecore before I even heard of the xtar. After the fact, read the specs. Pretty good but a bit more expensive. If this one kicks the bucket I may try the xtar.
I thought the last one was going, turned out it was the batteries slowly wearing out. I'm not sorry I have the backup now though.

Once you've used something, anything, bigger than the 18350, you never go back.
