I am pretty well stocked. Only on the lookout for extremely good deals on products I already know are good. Perhaps another mech or two (would love a REO but not in the budget right now), so I just keep my eye out. Not in the market for anything but can't pass up a great deal!

Regarding the fasttech Subtank clone parts that you can buy and put together a top-filling subtank for about $12:

I love them and they're the only tank setup that I'm using these days, BUT...

After you refill them from the top, they ARE going to leak, and leak quite a bit, for about the first 10 draws before the leaking stops. I don't know the reason but if I had to guess, I'd say it might have something to do with vacuum having to get re-established after filling. You can, if you want, fill them from the bottom just like you would with a Kanger Subtank, but to me the leaking is something I'm willing to deal with in exchange for the convenience of top-filling.

I got a couple of top fill tops for a few Orchids I have and the same thing - they leak for about the first 10 good hits then stop. I also figure it has to do with the vacuum.
Is that the plastic ones or the metal ones?

Why some topfills have a juice flow control you can shut off while filling. But they still tend to flood a bit.
Me I will just keep on bottom filling as long as it is not thru a tiny screw hole.

Strange thing. The GS Air 2 that came with my iStick Basic does not gurgle or anything after top filling.
Little sucker has not dribbled a bit. Still on the first coil after 2 weeks of sub ohming on it.

Could those be like the KayFun 3? is there an air hole you can block while filling?

I got the metal ones. I do block the air flow holes while filling, but could use more hands to block, fill, keep track of the little o-ring that tends to come off (Dave, you know that one!), screw the top back on, reseat on mod and vape. Maybe about 3 more hands.

Any suggestions on other than my fingers to block the air holes?

Either that or bottom fill with a syringe is the standard answer.

I have a silicone plug that I got with a bell-tank. Didn't like the bell, but the silicone plug is my go-to for coil repair mid-tank. It is the most valuable tool I have in my kit.

For a while, I was using it for refills. Plug the drip-tip hole, unscrew the base, and fill. Tighten the chimney, and screw the base back on.

I wont be buying any vape gear for a while, but for different reasons, i really have all i need but i like new toys. Luckily i tend to win my share of drawings on ecf, so i get new stuff here and there, in fact i just won an encom voidray last night, the only thing i am running short on is batteries.

So this is why we have snow storms. ("Alpinglow" looking east at sunset)

Awesome photo, thank you for posting it. Some years back a volcano blew in Mexico, I think, and wiped out the alpenglow for a couple of years. Sad for us, horrific for them. I appreciate it much more since then.
Front porch; other than resupply of consumables, my vape spending is at an end.
Yeah right
Knew I could get a sarcastic response (or so) from that post.
Not like there isn't a history.

I hope hope the current ones stay well.
Everything I buy now is sorta redundant. Already have 6 or 8 of everything already.
Only eight? Slacker. :grr:

Bells, thank you, and thank you to subsequent posters. I keep looking for the magic bullet should the FDA or California hammers drop, but I think I found it years ago. At least I know what I am getting, know how to use it and know I won't be disappointed in it. Through 43 years of smoking, I think I only changed brands four times, tops. Maybe five. I do like shiny though...

Congratulations on your win! I'm really happy for you. There have been a lot of contests here lately and I haven't entered them because it wasn't really what I wanted. I figure there are people that want/need them more than I do so let them have at it. Now if my mod was up for a contest, get the hell out of my way! :)

This was supposed to be up front.
You didn't tell me today that you love me
Of course I love you, that should go without saying. :firefox: To be honest, your posts give me a big lift every day. I'm very grateful them. You have no idea. You are a lifeline to sanity. So was Iffy but I don't know what happened to him. I fear for his well-being . It ain't the Porch without the Iffstah. Long may you both reign! :D
