Well I read the user manual for the edge and I can see why your confused. I don't understand how is changes wattage but is supposed to get 100w out of an 1800mAh battery. I take it it checks the resistance and sets itself somehow. It's all Greek to me. Apparently it automagically adjusts the watts to your atomizer. I wonder what it is putting out with the .2 atomizer. Must be a pretty hot vape. Definately a lot different stuff then I am familiar with.

Endless questions, but what size coil to start if I'm steering clear of sub ohm? What's the difference, and now they've got different wire metals. I just need something that she keeps back stock in or I can get elsewhere without importing.
As to the other about the prohibitive laws, there are uk companies that ship internationally( for a fee). I have to do it every single time I order. New Zealand as well, and Asia , but I'd be leery of quality control with the last.

Some of these may help. I second the advice of watching any videos done by
@super_X_drifter on youtube. He is very clear and instructional. He also will not steer newbies in a bad direction.
Also look up a user @Mooch here and read the basics of battery safety. As for overseas you may want to check out Todd on Youtube, or look up The vaping Shed in a search engine. He can usually steer people to good deals.

Explain APVs (mods) to me please

And there's the problem. No one understands that. And it's really gotten @Vape? Off to a bad start. I'm really worried about her tanks & batteries getting hot hot. She's chain vaping a subohm set up just like she chain smoked. Not good.

Just watched the video and it is the STM with the old style RBA deck. Even the boxing is the same.
So is it just an odd model, or outdated, or both? Doesn't matter really, that's what I've got and they vape okay. The safety , I don't know.

The Vice looks to me like a mech with some protection. It comes with a 1.2 ohm head but not sure how that would work in a mech. I've only had a couple of those. Definately a different setup. I still don't understand them completely

Yeah the protection I saw was short circuit protection and that was it. Apparently the Edge does adjust the watts to the atomizer but not sure how it does that. And it is capable of putting out 100w which I am sure is with the .2 atomizer. Strange that it doesn't have overheat protection.

Odd for sure, to the point of claims that don't make sense. If that battery & tank are getting hot it's very unsafe.

No they just came out with a new type of rebuildable deck the one that comes with it is the one before which I have 8 of but I think they work every bit as well. The newer ones are just easier to get apart and have a hole in the side for the juice to get in. I never had a problem with the older ones but I think some of the people who use a high VG juice did with it not getting enough in. The new ones are just easier to rebuild other than that they are exactly the same tank just a different colored O ring. I have 8 with that deck and have never had a problem except getting the build deck loose from the chimney. Other then that the head is the same i wouldjust about bet that the Kanger heads would fit right in.

And it was the Volt tank not either one that you have. If the pattery starts getting hot then put it down for a while. The one that goes to 100w has to have a LiPo battery in it no Lithium Ion. Like the batteries used in a lot of the DNA200's. Like I said I know nothing about these products but they look familiar like some of the Ego batteries but I'm not sure. Most mods now have adjustable wattage and they have overheat, reverse battery, short circuit and other protections. I would email the company and ask if they have overheat protection. I'm just not sure. Do they get real hot on the battery when you chain vape. The atomizer will get hot subohming that's normal because the coil gets really hot.

It's the tank on the edge, but it has black at the bottom, which doesn't conduct. The vice is all stainless?, and it's the tank that gets hot, but it does start cause heating at
the top of the battery. Vaporfi kept coming up when I was researching best vaping devices.

Also Google VaporFi reviews. A lot of stuff there mostly, I hate to say it, BAD.
Oh no, I've got like 600? Dollars worth of gear from them that I can't return. Some still in the packaging. Darn it oh well. No more vaporfi, but I'm stuck with it for now.,grrrrr

Oops, lol. I know she just got a shipment, so I'll let her guide me. Within reason. 1.5 it is and regulated. At least I have a starting point. I've got 5 non adjustable vaporfi ( they say it somehow does it all by itself) subohm, so this purchase will have to hold me for a while. I've only been vaping 10 weeks. My husband stocked me up, so I wouldn't be tempted to smoke if my original bit the dust. But he just duplicated my original x4.
I wouldn't attempt diy on a battery or coil. No knowledge base, no teacher. The trick will be making sure I can get replacement pre made atomizers from a couple of sources here.
Was just bad luck, that I started on the subohm vaporfi. Tanks getting white hot can't be right. So I rotate between 2 or 3 so they can cool off. Two hours drive to do a face to face transaction. All els out of state or only on line. She's got the ne box , kanger, smok, and some others, I'll find one that suits.
The nebox is a good one can get different ohm coils for it. Right now it is my fav.

Yep I can see exactly what they are doing. They are using other manufacturers products and doubling and in some cases tripling the price. The website is aimed at people who know nothing about vaping and ripping them off. I was really surprised when I saw the prices of stuff. That was the first think that caught my eye.

@Vape? You should call them and see if you could return at least the ones that aren't opened and give them some kind of excuse like your husband got them for you and you didn't like the one you had or something. I spent a lot when I first started vaping but it was a different thing, mine was because I got some expensive authentics and Provari's the authentics were Kayfuns but I got my moneys worth.

What a rotten way to get introduced to vaping. Well live and learn.

I know but if you look at their equipment it is all stuff from other places like Smok and Kanger. I told her it's not the one she has but it is definately a KangerSTM. Not sure where or who made the stuff she has but read some of those reviews and you'll see that their stuff is exactly the same as other manufacturers, not clones but the exact product. One guy even went as far as to say it looked like they had shaved the name off and put theirs on. She doesn't have the Volt atomizer I don't think that's the first one I noticed but there is something real familiar about there products. Like I say google (vaporfi reviews)
