Jup! I was right! You know yer Schtuff, Pat! :)
Almost too much for me to absorb but I'm pretty sure I understood it. I was wondering about TC and your post helped a lot. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against cloud chasers either. I'm with you, as long as it's not rude or arrogant, it's all good. It's just not the ultimate goal for us, we're more "Flavor Chasers" too. ;) And ya, I've seen some pretty sick clouds, even here locally! I was behind an auto parts delivery truck the other day and the girl behind the wheel was blowing some really impressive clouds out the drivers side window! Nothing fancy, just REALLY dense PURE WHITE clouds! I almost stopped her to find out what rig she had and what she was vaping but changed my mind when I realized she would probably think I was just "pervin' on her".

I also know what you mean about the CTA and being frustrated with the whole situation in general. IMO, the CTA was "a stunt" and ill advised on CASAA's part. ANd of course it's about the money and ONLY about the money. I call BS on ANY other "excuse" the FDA tries to trot out. Here's the difference, The committee that Sen. Johnson chairs IS ON OUR SIDE. He wants the FDA to turn over their paperwork and if they don't, he will pursue "other means" and has the power to subpoena those records AT WILL. I get tired of "telling my story" too. It's exhausting and frustrating, especially when you get the "form letter" back or are ignored all together. But, like they say in Vegas, "You can't win if you don't play!" ;) I sure hope you'll reconsider, every voice really DOES matter.

(My "inspirational moment" for the day. :) I can't help it, I'm DAMN passionate about this and staying off of the stinks and want tens of thousands of others to have that opportunity too.)

Von, many have probably answered your questions completely. Here are my thoughts. The industry is new, and technology rapidly advancing. When I first started vaping there were only cig-a-likes. The next stage were "flashlight" styles (yes designed from them). The industry quickly moved to variable voltage mods, which allowed people to dial in clouds and taste (wow). Next new and shiny was variable wattage, and then moving on, currently temperature control and delivery (tanks and such) are becoming more refined. At the start of this we were limited in our selection. People are still chasing the ultimate "vape" for themselves, creating. I am happy with my variable voltage P-thingy, but I realize I need more than just 1 mod. Just like everyone else, I try to make informed decisions and selections, along with my little kid inside me that just I "gotta have it." I would suggest, since you have a good idea what your likes are, choose something you can use and "experiment, grow" with. Yes, this is official permission to try things, spend money and generally have fun with the "hobby/obsession/need."

Yep I'll do my thing once again. Here in this state they got a bill through that I didn't even hear about till yesterday. The governor won't get his 95% sales tax but all the vendors have to get a license including the out of state ones if they want to mail stuff to Washington. It's a small fee from what I read but it's still going to be a hassle. Luckily I won't have to buy anything for a long long time after my next couple of transactions.

That VV couldn't come fast enough for me I waited 5 weeks after Provape started taking orders for mine to get here.

Well, as soon as I place my order for the (2) IGO-L RDAs @ just $5 each, I think I'll be set with my "stash", except for more nic for my freezer when I return from my trip (can never have too much nic). Just ordered (2) Subtank Minis @ $17.99 each on Clearance, based upon recommendations on here. They also had their Kanger KBOX 40W Mods on clearance for $9.99, too, so bought 2 of those in SS to put away, too.

You all are a baaad influence! Came on here expecting to maybe just order 1 RDA for taste-testing, and look at what you made me do! :D
Where did you get them?

And then it wouldn't work with the little 510 atty's I had cause the were 1.5 ohm and the first one had a 2 ohm limit I believe it was. They got so many complaints they fixed em but it cost $20 so my V1 which I still have and still works flawlessly got upgraded.

2legsshrt, Man! I just can't figure Wa. being so negative on vaping. They're so progressive in "other" areas??? Alaska vapors have a fight on their hands right now too. "Someone" tossed a 75% "Vapor Products" tax amendment into the oil & gas tax, mining and personal income tax bill at the last minute (as the ink was still drying on the DD!) and My Rep. was "supposed to keep me informed (He's also the co - chair of the finance committee) but didn't. The only way I found out about the "tele - conference" was a CTA from CASAA, unfortunately, also 10 minutes too late to get on the phone in! The long & short of it is that the state can set a 75% tax on ALL VAPOR PRODUCTS (sound familiar?) and that then allows each borough to set their own tax on top of THAT! (Our borough currently taxes tobacco @ 100% of wholesale pricing, ON TOP OF the State's tax!) Needless to say, I fired off an email to my Rep. expressing my disappointment and asked directly for an explanantion and the disposition of the bill and his stand on it. It took a few days but he emailed me back and said that "they" had gotten literally THOUSANDS of emails and were "bogged down". He had a conversation with the Gov in his office explaining that the bill did not have the votes to get out of committee and that he personally did NOT feel that vaping should be taxed. I still don't know the final outcome but I'm "cautiously optimistic" at this point.

Sorry to switch horses in the middle of the stream but this link was posted @ the Officials report biggest fall in adult smoking in decades thread. It is in regard to Sen. Johnson's request to the FDA turning over their "research & papers" to the committee because the committee has "concerns" as to how they reached their conclusions for the deeming regs. (The FDA ignored his requests the first time around. Big surprise, right.) The link allows you to contact the committee and tell how vaping has changed your life and how it has the possibility to change and save hundreds of thousands more. I personally think it's worth while and may help the committee gain some understanding of our plight, as well as possibly drawing more attention from other Senators & Representatives. They're bound to hear the grumblings and wonder what the ruckus is about. ;)
MAKE SOME NOISE!!!

 Von Vape

thanks so much for that!! Thanked them for my efforts....told em my story.....told em it was all about $$ period, that the only ones to survive this will be BT cigalikes, told em kids are gonna get whatever kids want.....think about how many underage college kids get drunk every weekend. Told em it will create black market that IS potentially very dangerous, told em how my health has improved, and how many jobs will be lost when businesses close!! Will call em tomorrow!

Nice abode! Can I move in? Well, just a thought :w00t:

Welcome to the porch AXIOM_1 ... always nice to have new people find a comfy rocker and join us. Say ... where in PA are you. My wife (Janet H) and I are in SE PA about 40 miles from center city Philly.

I saw that in another thread ... way to go Senator Johnson. !!!

One of the things we do best on the porch is spend other peoples money ... that's for sure. And watch what you say ... thems some famous last words we've heard before ..."I think I'll be set with my "stash"

Sure the wattage is set at fixed increments (8,13, 20, 25, 30, 35 & 40) but that's gotta be a pretty good "general spread", right? The down side is that it's a single battery. :( But hey, a pocket full of SLEAVED batteries will fix that too!

I'd personally skip by that mod. They're a big difference between 13 to 20 and 20 to 25. I suggest you keep looking.

You were also asking about the need for high wattage mods ... from the sound of your vaping style you won't need a 75, 100, 200 watter. I've got 40-50 watt capable mods but my sweet spot is 14 watts so I never need the full capacity.

Say i saw in another thread the Ontario gubment changed their smoking regulations for I think gubment properties. They now require separate vaping zones from smoking zones so vapers are not subjected to 2nd hand smoke. Geez! Is it possible a gubment organization is doing something right.

Also I hope this reply from our senator holds true. His reply: "The 40% sales tax proposal was actually introduced last August, and has since just sat in Finance Committee. Frankly, I don’t think that will change, so I doubt the bill will ever run."

@Von Vape, I have a slightly different perspective on gear. Assuming you have a decent mod (and a Radius is far more than just "decent"), it's all about the tank and the coil. I'm also a flavor chaser, though I do chase clouds on rare occasion. For flavor, my favorite (external) tanks are the Kayfun V3 mini, the Kabuki, and the Gem. These tanks are small -- 2 to 2.5mls. That seems to matter. I build them at 1.2 to 1.4 ohms, and run them at 9 to 14 watts on a ProVari or MB WAE II. Amazing flavor. I'd suggest trying different builds at different wattages. You might be pleasantly surprised!

Yeah I'm going to have to be faxing my DL in for proof of being 18 or 21 what ever it is plus hopefully MVS will get a license to sell in Wa state.
