@AXIOM_1, welcome to the Porches! Make yourself comfortable and tell us all about yourself!
Well, as soon as I place my order for the (2) IGO-L RDAs @ just $5 each, I think I'll be set with my "stash", except for more nic for my freezer when I return from my trip (can never have too much nic). Just ordered (2) Subtank Minis @ $17.99 each on Clearance, based upon recommendations on here. They also had their Kanger KBOX 40W mods on clearance for $9.99, too, so bought 2 of those in SS to put away, too.

You all are a baaad influence! Came on here expecting to maybe just order 1 rda for taste-testing, and look at what you made me do! :D
As others have said, WHERE?!

They are having kind of a clearance on the IPV5 at a few stores for $41 if anyone is interested. It has pretty good well real good reviews. Pioneer4U has stopped making them and are coming out with 3 new ones. Yeah I don't know I found one place on Vapecrawler that has them for 19.95 but I have never dealt with them called Vape Shop. The STM that is.

Speaking of spending money, I'm about to myself BUT, I'm still confused by all of the different levels of wattage that different mods have. As you all know, I/we are fairly new at this and we use (& got started with) Kanger Subvods. .5 ohm coils, 3.7 V. constant and that, thanks to a fellow porcher providing the info and the relevant chart, works out to about 22 watts. That's great and we really enjoy the flavor and amount of vapor we get out of the Subvods with 60/40 juice.

That being said, with the Radii (Same Subvod Top Tank Nano & Coil) 22 W is too much. 19 W or 20 W seems just about right but still not quite as good as the "Stupid Stick". Whatever, I don't get it and probably never will, that's all water under the bridge.

My real question is, If the basic Subvod parameters are your "sweet spot" why would one need a 60 W, 75 W or 200 W mod???

I don't foresee us ever going plus ohm because we started with sub ohm and that's where the flavor (the most important aspect of vaping to us, besides getting our nic. ;)) better vapor production and quicker heat time is, right? I 'think" I understand that you need more watts to "push" a plus ohm coil but it would seem to me that you'd go through batteries faster and as I said, plus ohming isn't in the foreseeable future anyway.
I've also seen the YouTube videos of the "hardcore" vapers where they have a .2 coil and a mod set at 50W and huff out a big ol' cloud and get all excited and comment what a great hit that was. How could that possibly be enjoyable?

I know I/we still have A LOT to learn and I can already hear "Your tastes are going to change." but I seriously doubt it. We're both on the down hill side of 55, headed for 60. We both smoked the same brand of cigs for over 40 years (So same "flavor" and temperature range.) The narrow variety of flavors we're happy with now will probably be the same forever. The only reason we vape is to remain reformed smokers (we're not "Cloud Chasers" or vape gear geeks (no offense). It could easily be said that we're set in our ways and just looking for some advice on the easiest way to remain reformed smokers through vaping. We would have been perfectly happy to continue on with our Subvods and pre made coils or a Subvod Mega with RBA's if it weren't for the DD. Unfortunately, "simple" isn't an option any more and as relative "newbies" all of the options and variables can be a little overwhelming and daunting, not to mention EXPENSIVE if you're forced into trial by error in a compressed time limit, as we are.

As usual (for me ) this is long and drawn out. The bottom line is; Is there any advantage to a 60, 75 or 200W mod for people like the ones described above or will a relatively inexpensive 40W mod do and, as heavy vapers, I suspect at least a dual battery unit is something to consider. All I know for sure is that we have to get mods that will last and that have replaceable batteries. Eventually, the "plug & plays" won't recharge and won't be able to be replaced.

Thanks in advance, Porchers! ;)
 Von Vape
Von, you have your ohms & watts mixed up. Subohm requires more watts. Plus ohm requires fewer. I have 30 watt mods, a 50 watt, & my 3.7-6 volt dual batt Hex Ohms. I vape at 1.5 ohms which is good for my juices at 13-15 watts. My 50 watt mod & Hex go for days without needing a charge. I don't chain vape anymore unless I get stressed. I have 3 or 4 flavors going at one time & go thru maybe 6 ml of juice a day. I've tried subohm. The vape is warmer than I like & it blows thru juice & batteries. Plus ohming consumes less juice & less power.
You will be surprised when you take a vape on juice you've loved for months, & was great yesterday as usual, but the next morning tastes terrible, or at least not as good. For the first year & a half all I could vape was custards. Fruits & everything else tastrd terrible. I went through 3 slight taste changes during that time. Then suddenly the 4th taste change happened & I could vape fruits! All of a sudden fruits tasted like they should. Amazing how that happens! So don't be too sure you have forever finished with taste improvements or changes. It ain't over. My 2 year mark is August 1st h I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

3.7 volts on a .5 ohm atty thats it no need to get too far out there.

You can use that ohms law calculator I sent you to the other day to figure out what that is in Watts.

I have some Inawera Blueberry and Raspberry too. I gave away most of my other fruit flavors. I kinda wish I'd have hung on to a couple from Germany. The first time I tried it it was way too strong for me. I wonder how Teresa liked it. I think I tried it at way too high a %

Man I thought ECF was going down the last time I renewed it it was so slow didn't think it was going to make it. For some reason Kenna got me hankerin for some fruit flavor then I went over on the other side and all they are talkin about is desserts and other good stuff to eat.

OK

Man Mike was right ECF is really running slow tonight. I have a good Strawberry what is Forrest Fruit like.
Forrest fruit is sort of a mixed berry. I use it in a single flavor juice at 5%

Heck I think I have a lot of fruits when I think about it. I'll whip something up tomorrow. I Have 100ml of Hangsen Mango and it is really good. Slots turned me on to that one. I liked it so well in one of my Vapocolypse scares I stocked up. Just gotta look up the % on my chart.

Yeah I'm going to have to be faxing my DL in for proof of being 18 or 21 what ever it is plus hopefully MVS will get a license to sell in Wa state.
I've only had one vendor ask me to vetify my age. All I had to do was fill out a short form they emailed me & email it back with a picture of my dl. I can't remember who it was. I think they were in Arkansas. Some place that put heavy restrictions on selling out of state.

@Kenna What brand of fruit flavorings are really good?
I like FA, Capella, & Inawera. Capella's Sweet Strawberry is GOOD! Their honeydrw is super strong, but spot on honeydew.

Well this bill they passed here it is a misdemeanor to sell to any one under age in this state even from internet sales. Plus they have to purchase a license to sell in this state. I was getting dizzy when I was reading it but seemed like $250 for that and I'm pretty sure it said they had to verify the age. Only in Wa where the pot is ok for recreational use and the advertising for it is getting pretty radical too.
