OK. Bad news I'm afraid. I tried a Protank head in my Aspire tank and it doesn't fit. I thought the chimney on the head would fit inside the chimney section in the tank, but it was too big. The post I read must have been referring to a different tank. I read it and didn't bookmark it so I can't go back and check. It was talking about putting a silicone cup over the bottom of the chimney section of the tank, then pushing the chimney section of the protank head up through the cup to get the seal. If I come across it again I'll let you know.

There's different thicknesses to the Protank chimneys. I do use the thinner ones as you described in my Subtank mini. :)

I think we're going to stick with the Kanger products, just because of familiarity and they seem to be good products. 75W TC toptank minis - $49 complete kit. Could get the 60W's a bit cheaper ($39 I think) but a little wiggle room in the wattage is a good thing, right? Heck I don't know, I feel so stupid about al of this stuff. One thing's for sure, I'd better get it figured out PDQ!!!

Appreciate it Debadoo but the shipping would be free from them.

Thank you too @MikeE3. I realize it's just an opinion, but with what Debadoo said, do you think Element Vape has "the good stuff"? :D

Geez ... I can't really answer that. I'm not familiar w/ that vendor. I did take a quick look at their website. They have quite a selection and their prices are within range. If you mean batteries in particular I've bought most of mine from RTD Vapor.

Hey, Debadoo. :) I finally caught up and found I could add something. Ha! :p

Welcome to the porch choochoo ... always glad when someone else joins in.

Jup RTD is a great place, I just figured you'd checked them and the shipping was too much to Alaska

Well that other vendor is on the east coast someplace as they list their hours as Eastern time. And RTD is in PA.

I agree with RTD all my batteries came from RTD except the VTC5's I got which I've only used one to make sure they were authentic and they are or a damn good fake because the one I have used get's nearly as many joules on it @ 2500mah as my LG HG2's that are 3000 mah. I got the VTC's from illumn.com.

Just checked RTD out and dang, they really DO have great prices! Even if I did get hit with some shipping ( as long as it wasn't outrageous, didn't check that  ) still, GREAT PRICES, half of "EV" !!! Harumph! MORE RESEARCH!!! I do really appreaciate the heads up, it's just that all of this cramming to get what we need at a reasonable price and in the time allotted is getting pretty tedious. I honestly do appreciate the guidance.   Did I mention I'm also on a pro vaping advocacy binge...
